26/9/2019 09:33 | Fantastic and amazing that our governments trade department is our "foot in the door" promoting Versarien's graphene. It's almost like cheating and having an unfair advantage. However all the other suppliers can't complain as they can't validate their product. | zagrosfold
26/9/2019 09:28 | Morning Folks, This is Seattle info: Can see GEIC but not VRS directly. | laginaneil

26/9/2019 09:15 | Shavian, I'm assuming that as it is infused it is still using the ink as a base liquid, but could be wrong. Re screen printing: I did 'feel' the cloth but couldn't establish if there was a discenable layer above the base material, so not sure - sorry. Best wishes - Spike | spike_1
26/9/2019 09:15 | Re textiles- If the material was cotton or wool then the Graphene would have to be persuaded to penetrate the mass of fibres. If the material was a man made polymer then a polygren approach could be used and the fibres spun. NB. If they can spin/draw out fibres however they make them with polygren then they'll solve the fishing line / net problem. | serratia
26/9/2019 09:12 | Apart from sports clothing (in which top stars might be able to showcase premium products ahead of mass market uptake) I am curious about graphene enhanced textiles in upholstered seating (buses, trains, planes, cars, cinemas & theatres, etc) where improved wear resistance and heat dissipation are valued characteristics EDIT: Carpets are another textile area where wear resistance is a key factor that can surely be graphene enhanced. Not just the domestic house market but the huge exhibition/conferenc | grabster
26/9/2019 09:12 | Shavian - that's how I too interpreted the textile description | grabster
26/9/2019 09:06 | Was the garment that was handed round screen printed? | clint fleecewood
26/9/2019 09:00 | He was with these guys for their symposium which included a tour of the Boeing facility. Their website features graphene from Manchester on the front page https://www.babcpnw. | eel tamer
26/9/2019 09:00 | Spike, I may have this wrong but my understanding is that the Leeds University trial used a very different method of infusing Graphene into the textile yarn rather than printing it onto the surface using Graphinks. The inference was (I believe) that GNPs (Nanene) impregnates the yarn which is then spun into the textile, thus saving the secondary process of screen printing an already-fabricated textile. Please feel free to to correct me, those who disagree. | shavian
26/9/2019 08:49 | Thanks for clarification Spike. Seattle is nice, or it was 30 years ago :) Willoicc - agreed and will do. | clint fleecewood
26/9/2019 08:42 | At yesterday's AGM Neill commented during a re-election resolution for Director Ian Gray that he couldn't make the AGM as he was in Seattle, adding 'We are pleased that he is in Seattle'. Much later I asked him 'if it was a coincidence that Boeing was also in Seattle? Neill kept his lips shut but he couldn't hide a smile, and I said 'thank you for the answer'. He followed that (beaming smile) with how nice a place Seattle is to visit etc... We (IKN and I) believe Ian was at Boeing Supply Chain Conference. Shavian, re 3 tonne v 30 tonne for textiles. My understanding is that textiles doesn't use graphene (Nanene), but does use VRS 'Graphinks' which is manufactured by a completely method. Best wishes - Spike | spike_1
26/9/2019 08:12 | People, please go to the lloy - Black Beauty: A Recovering Quadruped thread to discuss Brexit and keep this a VRS ONLY zone. PLEASE | willoicc
