The will of the people, pahhh!!!

One third of the population voted to leave, two thirds did not vote to leave. So leaving is the will of one third of the people.

Besides which, civilised countries need a super majority to change the constitution.

thanks to shavian, johnveals, superg et alia, coverage of the AGM and the comments hitherto, there can for now be little more new to say about the company and its progress that is not blind repetition .....until further news breaks

Scrutable I believe Boris is trying to uphold the will of the people who voted, by a majority, to LEAVE the EU. You imply that Boris is the traitor when in fact that description applies much more forcefully to those people who are trying to frustrate the democratic vote of the people because they would rather conspire to hand power to a foreign power ie the EUSSR.

'The emergence of recent child, Greta Thunberg as a World Star, leading the Leaders by their noses in New York, is Messianic, awe-inspiring, and demonstrates that 'the impossible CAN happen. We did make a change of comparable magnitude when abolishing slavery and yesterday's decision by our Supreme Court WAS a singular event in UK history. In an earlier age, the brilliant clown Boris might have been led off to execution.'

Not to be disrespectful but why at your age do you waste your time with childish debates. Have you not worked out what's important to you yet?

So combative?

My heroes; Groucho Marx and Lewis Caroll. Now add GretaThurnberg

Questioning complacency is greater fun than agreeing with everything! and morally preferable to agreeing particularly with the incineration of carbon, pollution with plastic waste, living parasitically off others, milking the balance sheet, twisting the facts to generate alternative truths and fake news....

Which of these are you in favour of?

It would seem from you inevitable that I will never "know better". Despite the family ethos supposedly here, you suggest that short references to the self destruction of man-kind are out of place.

Can we keep squabbles and personalities off here and remember this board is for discussion about Versarien especially after an AGM the feedback from which is nothing but extremely encouraging for all shareholders

"As someone who lived through the war, you must surely know differently"
Why so cryptic? I have made a number of major points about the life we live in.

What on earth do you expect anyone to understand about your jibe that I have it all "upside down"? What are you afraid to say?

Why would Zagrosfold need to buy a house in a low lying coastal area when he's already living under a bridge?

O/T,

This is not a comment on whether Greta Thunburg is right or wrong in her aspirations. It's about her being used by people on one side of the case and I find that a little disturbing.
She recently sailed to New York to give her presentation to emphasise not generating CO2 during the trip. When her boat was far enough off shore the tracking device was shut off. A check was made of her location and what was found was her boat being tracked by another non wind driven boat as support. In addition 2 of her crew flew one way and 3 the other way to New York to complete the journey. So 5 flights instead of one (don't know how she returned)and a power craft instead of one flight.
