Great post Shavian. I would add to the AECOM part that Neill pointed out they were due to hold a huge press launch of the arch but this got pulled by AECOM close to launch. They then had a lower key launch which we are all aware of. My take on this, coupled with the news on the graphene concrete today, is that AECOM want to keep things low key until they have the concrete products as well. They must see vasarian as key to their plans of 50%3D printed by 2025. All looking very good for the years ahead.

Our quality guys who did most of the iso would much prefer to commission the 30 tonne machines than 10 times as many.Mistake in my previous post. Meant to say 30 tonnes not 10

I think innovate U.K. has funded the research into an up to 10tonne machine. It's been proven theoretically and now they going to give it a go

To think, next AGM I for one will be wearing a VRS related graphene enhanced top.

EDIT

Need to lose a few pounds first judging by that skin tight looking jobby handed around.

The textile side.

Due to a good bit of web detective work by one very infrequent poster I am aware of who the textile manufacturer is. It's public but very, very well hidden.

In looking into them it's obvious who the relevant sports companies are. They key one is huge.

But the point for me in looking was all this thermal 'stuff'.

It's quite clear the market has been looking for thermal dissipation gains, there are a host of products out there trying that route.

So clearly the industry has been looking for an answer in that area and with sports they seek to profit from it.

Graphene is obvious the answer which is obviously why VRS were cold-called on the topic in the first place.

If you told VRS they would be part of a worldwide launch of sports clothing using graphene inks a few years ago, they would have called you mad, not happening etc.

Graphene enables industrious that most of us can't even think of. EG downhole drilling was left field to me, I didn't know and polymers were involved.

So I'm very excited about the textile side, for very good reasons.

Fantastic re the Leeds Uni breakthrough too, so now a route to just make whatever you want from it as a normal part of current manufacturing processes.

772, the garment in question, l asked David Kerr he said that the graphene pattern was to wick away moisture, l asked how competitive was the price of the garment with graphene he said insignificant!

All good and on track as far as I can see.

We would all like success to be delivered instantly but that is not possible in this case given the counterparties and technology involved. If all shareholders are honest with themselves they should know and accept that given the potential rewards.

The VRS board don’t have a timeless horizon to deliver but they have been much better with investor communication strategy and expectation management recently although I understand why they have been overexcited in the past!

Many thanks to all who made the effort to go to the AGM and report back. Hopefully I’ll be able to reciprocate one day!

AIMHO etc.

Grabster,

I believe "Pinnacle" are a shareholder. I think they popped a comment on Twitter some time ago to Neill suggesting they could help with PR with videos. Think they got "paid" in shares (could be wrong on the last point).

It was a good vid.

One other thing to point out: The seating and refreshments were setup to cater for ~300 people. ~100 turned up.

Was that you asking the (what I thought daft) us point re the recent news.

US is going along nicely the new guy just doesn't like the sound of his own social media presence, with "smashed it", "cruuuusssshhhh", which is normal life for the majority.

Thanks to Battery, shavian,Johnveals, scotishfield for their accounts of yesterday's AGM. Noticable that there was nothing negative and that faith in managements strategy/vision still intact.

Concensus leads me to think that textiles will be first of th '5' to get to market and engaging a 'large London PR agency'is another step forward.

re

Presumably provinces is used in terms of more than one province I.e. multiple sites across China??

Yes and talk of elsewhere too but seemingly China connected, I took that to mean China owned companies in other countries, I may be wrong, but it wasn't the South Korea, Japan etc factor. China related elsewhere is how I read it.

From Shavian's feedback: "Marketing group Pinnacle have made a new promotional video which will be on the website; the campaign will be to emphasise the quality of VRS’ graphene"

I look forward to seeing that. Pinnacle seem quite a small (mainly local) player in the marketing field.

But elsewhere I note reference to Versarien "engaging with a large London PR agency"
- which presumably is part of the next-year promo plan.

Just as an example of the perceptions of PI s probably form reading complete BS on bulletin boards.

That person in a question presumed the US oil related supply of graphene deal was dead.

Not at all, quite the opposite, it's in the process of the goods supplied trials to be done/underway etc.

180 posts to read the first one of which was by LO and from the RNS he got it spot on.

"Nothing in that says it has been difficult to negotiate with the Chinese lol. If it wasn't going to happen this would be the end point of the deal but looks bigger than originally anticipated"

Bigger than originally anticipated.

Yes

It's gone from a province trying to a deal to nationwide interest with the main government officials involved, president included and the UK government.

Advisors to VRS have told them no other British company, irrelevant of size, has taken a type of deal with China to this level. It's ground-breaking.

As Neill says they are not your ordinary AIM company. They are about building a huge business for the benefit of others.

He is not like a city spin and his line made me smile like that.

He likes beer and burgers and no amount of money in the bank is going to make him prefer fine wine and lobster.

A simple statement about liking the simple things in life more than anything else, which in my experience is a typical line of a giver the line of a giver.

On his words it's VRS with the leverage.

179 posts to go.

Zagros - my preferred outcome, and I'm sure the company's too, is to get a few big deals under our belt (maybe Aecom and textiles) and get the share price up very significantly (say £10-£20 a share?) *before* selling a stake to the Chinese, if indeed it ever happens.
