one thing I thought after the AGM is that none of us actually asked a question about the garment that was passed around the room. What makes it special, what are the advantages over normal clothing. I noticed David Kerr ripped something out of it before it was passed round, wonder if it was an interesting label??

Exciting though China is, I'm equally excited by the progress in construction and textiles which will probably lead to revenue generation happening before the Chinese deal is concluded. We are not reliant on one deal making or breaking the company so there's no danger of manipulation by one customer. Imagination technologies were ruined by Apple's decision to design their own mobile phone chip and superg1's reference to Nanoco as a one-trick pony shows what a safe place VRS has made for itself. Of course no deal could be signed ever but it's getting more and more of a safe bet. I'm hoping for a nice xmas present this year.

Batteries are the holy grail grabster, billions being put in to hunting for it by thousands of companies, supercapacitors first I reckon and that is where Gnanomat have been focusing and will hopefully excel in the future.

I'd like to add my thanks for the amazingly helpful feedback that posters have put together from the agm. Very much appreciated (the number of green ticks suggests how strongly appreciated by many others too). Great stuff.

"..Batteries are also not among the 5 areas of focus, because of the long lead time in development."

From that I presume that the tie-up with Zap&Go is not high priority.

On the other hand -
"Specifically, Zap&Go is creating polymer-inorganic composite electrolytes in the form of membranes. Such materials are tailored to contain interconnected nano-sized channels formed by the polymer network for easy ion migration. The polymer network weakly binds the ions to enable fast ion transport. The weak binding and fast ion transport is achieved by creating a network of vacant binding sites in the polymer."

- which sounds like it might employ some Versarien tech sometime perhaps?

Heartening to see institutional investors starting to wade in now too. With every person that trades out hunting perceived better opportunities elsewhere, their shares are being steadily absorbed by less flighty, longer term holders. That should really start putting the squeeze on the SP, and really make it rather uncomfortable for those on the outside wanting in when these collaborations come to fruition.

Quote from Neill in yesterdays vox market podcastThis is no longer a UK company just going to China to set up a manufacturing facility which is what we originally spoke about just over a year ago, this is actually about being *embedded* into a national manufacturing strategy and you can see that there are several references to organisations which are looking at the 25 year Chinese government manufacturing plan. And we are kind of included in those conversations

From all the discussions and podcast I have picked up (rightly or wrongly) that the textiles are ready to go with infused graphene and production runs in the not too distant future.

AECOM ready to go with the polygrene (which is being tested by a n other in the US)and testing of concrete ongoing.... any idea of the type of concrete use? I envisaged it as 3D printing structures type or maybe the pads for housing as well but not for industrial applications.

However, having read in the past the problems that China has with their quick builds then maybe China has a place for it.

Speaking of China, it is huge the current situation of negotiating at Government to Government level for VRS as mentioned in the podcast and that development is not too far away it seems.

Although NR can't for obvious reasons give a timescale it seems there has been a definite gear change and light pressure on the accelerator .... on top of that they don't need funding for current operations but will obviously require it for the scale up of the Chinese interest via the BIGT 15%.

Been good not to hear much for a couple of months and everything has moved on apace in a very short time.... like it and get the feeling at some point in the future the sun will never set on VRS enterprises around the world 🌞

agm.

Shavian and others have put it across very well.

bigt..it just exploded (mw).

its got bigger and bigger...gone from a provincial to national.

put very simply ...china want our graphene at national level...vrs want the best for their shareholders...we are in the driving seat.
we are going to get it right.

textiles..quite near..?

aecom...quite near..?

thungsu quite near..?

who knows...they could drop anytime...or even a bolt out of the blue.

work going on with other companies all the time.

there is a hell of a lot of work gone into all parts of the company, and they have the right team doing it.

onto the next stage...

looking forward.

One thing I haven't seen anyone pick up on (maybe I missed it): the stated direct involvement of the Beijing government surely makes it odds-on that VRS products will be involved with B&R - a $7trn program. For example, could nanene help with that transparent concrete overlaying the photovoltaic highway that has problems with cracking? Plus of course road furniture, signage etc. Endless uses - IF the deal is ever actually inked and IF we're not all dead of old age first. The problem with deals that get ever-larger is that they move ever-slower and the conclusion point moves ever-further away. Mitigating against that is China's command-and-control system of government, but still there do seem to be an awful lot of moving parts...

When Neill replied to my email on July 2nd 2019 the 5 key areas of focus are 2 x construction, 1 x Aerospace trim, 1 x Electrics and 1 x Textiles.

REDCHEF, no, not at all (or not necessarily) imo. See post 792270 above also, and read the strategy para. Yr 1 - collabs, year 2 - international penetration and advancement. Yr 3 - Marketing, promotional, getting the products known - Neill was quite passionate about yr 3 I thought.

So that will obviously involve Nanene, and indeed other elements of the portfolio, if appropriate. At least that's what I took from it. Now, perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree, but it makes perfect sense to me, that at that stage in the company development, with very likely, something to show for one's efforts to date , ie, several orders on several fronts, a (meaningful) global promotional campaign for the proven number 1 global graphene company is / would be extremely beneficial to the increasingly accelerated growth path of the Company.

One thing that struck me throughout the morning is that (a) we don't know everything they know, (b) they are good planners, (c) they are confident of success, (d) they are shrewd enough to keep ahead of the game whilst in this very early but very important part of their growth path. And they are able to adapt to change. I thought that was key. I could go on, but the ingredients for an explosion of growth are there. Even at that, Neill is rightly cautious that they need to be able to handle that upward curve, when it occurs, in terms of eg, production, manpower, geography etc.

I've veered off your pointed question somewhat, but I hope that helps.

Lots of great info coming out of the AGM. Thanks to everyone who took time to post their summaries on here. One thing that strook me is the lack of any direct reference to Nanene. Is there a change in approach not to promote our product sperately from mainstream Graphene products?

Just in , having attended the AGM today. V impressed with the team, they came across as confident and able but not pompous or arrogant in any way. Above posters have already relayed proceedings. I did enjoy examining the graphene enhanced body shirt. The shape of things to come. Even managed a chat with Neill afterwards. Good to meet other fellow investors too. Enhanced my understanding and confidence in the Company. Rgds s/f

So if it's not tyres and it's not batteries, what are the five areas of focus, please, or are we just guessing?

Textiles
Concrete
Arches and other construction plastics
.......
.......??

Quality and consistency of product must be guaranteed to meet standards.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned the graphene infused T shirt that was handed round, it was noticeably cool to the touch, quite unlike ‘normal’ fabric. That has to have serious appeal to elite athletes and what elite athletes use mere mortals also buy.

Hi AquaS,I believe Neill is basically saying the expansion can be by either option, but they haven't firmed up yet on which way they will go. Hence the comment about more trials. They have the less preferred but safe option of bolting on more modules or the more risky, but preferred, bigger system. Neill did say at another point that he and Chris are both very risk averse, adding that Chris is more so than he is himself. So the quandary is go safe or roll the dice...

Hi my take from the AGM is Neill is as frustrated as the rest of us.As pointed out VRS can proactively manage the client relationships but at the end of the day it’s the client who will place the order(company making)

Thanks to all those giving excellent feedback from the AGM. It's a shame that the usual suspects continue to try to try and trash this share but hopefully it is pretty obvious to any new investors looking in who they are and what their game is. Certain naysayers have been trying to knock VRS from the 10p days and will no doubt continue to do so. It's perfectly understandable if there is some disappointment from genuine holders that the bigt deal and others haven't been concluded yet but having read the detailed feedback on here and the reasons why that is, I have no concerns and still have every faith in the management team that they will deliver what is best for investors here.
