BIGT will confirm VRS's production abilities.I note the HSE will be running REACH should the unthinkable happen in parallel. They will have the IT system ready for business. If dealings with the HSE are anything to go by progress will be leisurely. Duplication, another waste and 2 sets of data are never better than 1.

Didn't think I'd get the opportunity to buy some more at just above a pound! Thank you very much.

NR mentioned a while ago that they were looking (and guessing trialling) at tweaking the graphene production process. Perhaps they were successful?

Spike - it’s needed now Imho - it’s crucial that mass production capability is proven to settle all the doubters out there - the mass reliable and cheaper production of quality Graphene is the holy grail - No Co has achieved it so far

As for custom - take a leaf out of Kevs book - “build it and they will come”

No grabster I do not. There are already moves to increase the graphene limit to 100 tonnes and I am hopeful it wont be too far away; just stating the current situation and what must change for graphene profits to take off.

Re query regarding VRS purchase of production machinery for 30 tonnes per annum:

my reading is that this is currently an exploratory / work up process with the machinery manufacturers.

At the point where bigger machinery is needed, it will then be purchased and - IMO - installed in the clients own product production facility and paid for by the client, and operated either by the client on a toll basis (likely), or by VRS on their behalf.

Best wishes - Spike

Yeah but - do you seriously think that graphene development will be halted? (I'm not talking VRS - graphene in general).

The rules will change. Rules do. Ways will be found to redesignate or subdivide material classifications. Especially when global multinationals are involved.

grabster, do some basic research on Reach before you spout off incorrect statements

The selling 'within the EU' restriction shouldn't be a problem if most of the company's production is for the wider non-EU world

Wrong

And presumably if UK is no longer in the EU, the UK production restriction won't apply?

Wrong

And whether UK is in or out of the EU, the EU will surely have to amend the limits for graphene, or get left behind in this revolution - as China storms ahead regardless (Versarien Beijing Technology Co Ltd included)

Yes and no

Why does it matter?

REACH is the strictest law to date regulating chemical substances and will affect industries throughout the world.

When REACH is fully in force, it will require all companies manufacturing or importing chemical substances into the European Union in quantities of one tonne or more per year to register these substances with a new European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki, Finland.

In essence, you have to have your graphene product covered by this regulation before you have a commercial product. European customers are unlikely to buy large quantities from you unless you can demonstrate compliance with REACH.

Does this affect my company even if I am not in Europe?

Yes. Similar regulations are already being developed in Korea, Turkey, and China; other countries are following and developing similar regulations to REACH.

Also, large multinational companies operate globally and tend to harmonize labeling and regulatory compliance to minimize duplication. By complying with REACH in Europe they will cascade the requirements throughout their organisations.

"The big RNS is due soon" Not wanting to pee on anyones fire but having been a holder of considerable volume for the better part of two years that statement is a one I've read a lot. And yet still here we are with nothing but nudges, winks, rumour, hearsay and a diminishing share price. For all of the enthusiastic interviews and hints at big things to come and just around the corner, nothing has arrived. No orders, no repeat orders, just the possibility of things happening, that based on VRSs passed performance of delivering, just won't happen. Confidence is all but gone other than for a few select LTH's. We are very close to returning to penny land again, if positive news does not arrive within the next few days sub 100p is a certainty. Sub 100p coupled with no news as holders were to lead to expect will likely begin a selling spree with the accompanying capitulation. For the first time since becoming a holder here I can actually see the possibility of Rainbow achieving his goal of 60p. Of course I hope I'm wrong. Management needs to produce something tangible and meaningful very soon if this situation is to be avoided. Only my opinion of course. DYOR

Nice to see comments concentrating on the major outstanding block on vrs progress - getting out the the lab and into tin shed mass production - A 30T annual production process with consequent price reduction for clients is sorely needed - the co has been working on this it seems & it can’t come soon enough - On achieving the above And at about 50p - £1 per Gramme with a deserved p/e of at least 50, the Co will be de-risked & set to take off IMHO given the advances with polygrene etc - a few of us waiting to see this achieved before considering re-investing I think

So equipment installed at Cheltenham capable of producing 30 tonnes per annum that will be restricted to producing only 10 tonnes per annum by EU REACH regulations as they currently stand.

The selling 'within the EU' restriction shouldn't be a problem if most of the company's production is for the wider non-EU world. And presumably if UK is no longer in the EU, the UK production restriction won't apply?
