Sorry for the O/T, but I believe the lessons I learned from ECO also apply to VRS.

Firstly, I owe a great deal of thanks to you, superg. I noted your Eco recommendation last summer on this board (ECO and IOF were your tips) and bought a small stake at 39p. We had a chat at the AGM about Eco, oil fields, 3D seismic surveys, Guyana and Namibia.

I am still learning how to research and invest in stocks (with a few expensive lessons along the way) and I knew nothing about oil companies beforehand. Reading up on the ECO bbs these last few months, I've learned a lot and I feel more confident in my investments in general.

The share price had been steadily declining from 100p to 65p the last couple of months, and doomsters were starting to fill the boards, but I knew enough and trusted the data so I held on and topped up a couple of times. Every news item and company action in the meantime only served to back up the data. It was pretty obvious there was a huge reservoir of oil in ECO's blocks, and the CEO Gil seems a decent, honest guy, so it was just a matter of waiting.

I'm not a trader, I was about 50/50 when I tried it, so I have given up in favour of patience and trusting my research into a handful of companies, rather than chasing peaks or dips. I work full time (more than full time) and I just don't have the time for chasing daily share price movements.

And it's the same with VRS. It seems blindingly obvious to me that this company is going to be a massive success, so I have bought in and I hold and I continue to add when I can. I don't care what the share price is doing in the short-term because I'm not a trader. I can relax and let NR and his excellent, dedicated team take care of business, and because everything is moving in the right direction I have faith in their methods.

Good luck to all LTH :)

Couldn't agree more maisto. Government acknowledgment of the importance of graphene is most welcome and will undoubtedly draw attention from large scale users.

Thanks Jointer. Apologies for somewhat a repeat post but I'm not sure many people realise the significance of what's happening there. 3 days ago, Andrea Leadsom, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy said "the UK has a well-earned reputation for world-class research and innovation. From the invention of the World Wide Web to graphene, our scientists have helped to transform the world for the better. We are at the forefront of international collaborations tackling some of humanity's greatest challenges, from climate change to critical health and societal issues." This comes after B referencing graphene as a 'big deal' twice in the space of two weeks after becoming PM. Graphene is being put in the same class as the Internet! The Government's Ministers are being advised to acknowledge graphene, to big it up. I'm sure neither AL nor BJ would have a clue about graphene if they weren't told to mention it by their advisors. To me, this looks like the Government is very much aware of (obviously mostly thanks to VRS's DIT members) what is around the corner for graphene and keeping a very close eye on it. As soon as the first big scale commercial ground-breaking application (with AECOM??) involving graphene is confirmed and announced, most probably to be used in improving UK's frail rail infrastructure, the Government will make big deal of it and champion it to use as a propaganda for the post-Brexit era. Very positive for VRS in my opinion.

Personally I'm always happy to here about other stocks that might have missed my radar. I would never invest blindly on somebody's say so but it helps guide my own research.

Just for the record, ECO was tipped by the Midas column some months ago round about the 40p mark. One of the few times they were not wrong.

Good video woody. I especially liked the bit about graphene could lead to a trillion dollar industry. So good news for everyone who has certified graphene.

PshelvinIt is a VRS board so apologies for OT. Beating myself up for being a muppet today. Just frustratedPersonally I like a bit of OT. I don't expect myself to have a monopoly on good ideas. A snippet from a decent poster will set me off looking (and mainly rejecting) the opportunity. I have been on ADVFN for 20 years(ish) and posted a couple of hundred in that time preferring to listen rather than spout. Each to their own.Back in monitor mode. See yaCraigy

Fairly new video about graphene out on YouTube...VRS get a mention..it's sadly behind the times already in it's comments about scaling, but is worth a watch.

The only oil junior I’ve liked Craigy, just spotted it one day and realised it was genuine.

It was most odd at 38p that the typical oil nutters were not in it or looking at it.

A bit of research showed it had a very high chance of big oil.

So I’m really pleased for a few I know that took the plunge back then, they are v happy today.

BUR - maybe investors elsewhere will have a break from the trolling? One thing is for certain - any investigation by the regulators is going to take a while so hopefully those involved will be occupied elsewhere and keeping their heads down or at least sticking to rational criticism.

Muddy Waters is big enough to look after itself but the rest - I doubt it. Picking a fight with litigation lawyers isn’t a great idea and expensive even if you’re right!

On Burford it looks like our friend Tom is going to be investigated for his tweet suggesting that Muddy Waters were going to short the shares.

Unfortunately for him the detail didn’t come out at 8am it came out at 8.53am.

He might have made a very good guess...but somehow I doubt it. He will probably get away with it but will cost him time and money defending himself.

Well done to those that invested in Eco and took the time to research what was available.

Fingers crossed the guy from the VRS AGM did buy. He asked and the advice was buy it.

LO

Just read that, all should read it if they want to know how scumbags use tricks to operate.

So few sells v actual false orders. It shows the system is f’d not recognising lack pf execution of trades. We see it on level 2 on various shares of false MM entries but the stock isn’t actually there.

Hopefully scumbags in the UK made some trades to in the appropriate time frames.
