HL B&I just completed, has taken 5 days but nominal cost and down only 35 shares on the transaction. Well pleased with that.

I give the all clear for lift off :-)

I'm with you there, Woody. I'm breaking even now and holding VERY tightly. When this takes off, it'll really take off, and I can wait patiently until that day.

mat, "So in the event of a pound notes RNS they would be competing against everyone else who wants in" - I think that could be a large number of people, those waiting (probably funds included here) to make their first purchases and those who already have a toe in but want confirmation of a firm large order to increase their holdings.

The market makers, I'm sure, are aware of this and will hike the price when the RNS arrives. The really good news is that I think shares are very tightly held by many people like Fest and myself who will not be selling any at anywhere near this price... it will be a very interesting and exciting day when it does come...

Fair play to you Fest but how do you sleep at night? Come to think of it this may explain all the pre 7am posts... I'm up to 42% of my portfolio in VRS and well out of my comfort zone despite being in positive country

Fest I would like to think your theory is correct. As we have seen earlier this week, when we got above 130 it definitely triggered a number of sells which could be seen as an easy way of picking up stock for someone accumulating.

It must all depend on timeframe.

I did, at 125p, because I could see the pattern developing. It wasn't many though, about 4000 shares, I had to empty my business account to do it. I'm literally penniless now!

So in the event of a pound notes RNS they would be competing against everyone else who wants in, and would have to abandon their own set buy limit. Could get interesting

Oh? Well if not Berensberg it's someone else confirmed, I thought it was them, I must have missed a post or two.Yes, they can still buy stock at 128 and 129p, and they are doing. There's just not very much of it to buy.Any sells today have been taken immediately, and the price has not dropped.... you can also see that the next sell, rather than getting less money, actually commands a little more! That's a very good tell tale sign.

I thought superg said the recent accumulating (if it is that) wasn't Berenberg. Not that this makes it automatically true, just that there is not a consensus it's the German bank.

What is it about the buying patterns that suggests this? If the share price is 127/128 now, they can still buy stock under 130p at the moment.

The offer for your entire shareholding is a curious one. A good sign. Just don't type with sausage fingers :)

Thank you for your answers, I have a lot to learn on here from those with experience.

Bish, It's been confirmed that the German bank fund have been buying shares, if you've been reading the board. The buying patterns showed that it was obvious that someone was hoovering up all the stock, each time the price dropped. Then it plateaued at 120p, 125p, and now 130p on the buy side this week.Don't forget there was a single offer for my entire shareholding on Wednesday this week. Such things are unheard of.

Fest, I'm still learning a lot about investing, so I am genuinely keen to hear what gives you the impression someone is accumulating in the way you have suggested over the last couple of days?

Last Friday, at about 3pm, the buy side went berserk, and now I realise that the fund who have been accumulating must have instructed the broker to buy all up to 125p.This week, they have bought all stock up to 130p.It will be interesting to see if the exercise is repeated later this afternoon, when they realise they need to bid up to 135p.The volume will be the key.

Thanks for the podcast link Matheus. I haven't checked the size of their audience (anyone else able to please?), but a useful mention - even if, at this stage, they don't know one graphene product from another - still a useful prompt for a few more people to start looking at Versarien. I wonder who brought this distant little foreign-listed company to their attention. ;-)
