'Taking 3D printing to the next level, it is now possible to print at one-to-one scale using both traditional construction materials, such as concrete, and non-traditional materials, such as graphene-infused polymers'I see references to actual partners such as Scaled Ltd, but no mention of VRS directly, other than the reference to Graphene in the above paragraph.Interesting though.

this looks like a heavyweight conference, there is some interesting stuff in some of the abstracts, might be one to keep an eye on. Lots of folk from Manchester Uni involved, can't see any VRS names on there but still looking

Yes spot on!

and here is a video spelling out AECOM's Arch

The AECOM Arch is a 3D printed arch to enable digital traffic management systems. It was developed in response to client challenges around funding and cost by installing a digital signalling system. … The method brings reduced cost of production and installed, time savings and enhanced safety.

Eye opening video

Bobsworth,

I take it this is what you are referring to?

In which case Aecom securing preferred bidding status for Network Rail in the South is promising

Neil Ricketts you missed the golden opportunity
You let WG steal him from right under your nose
This is not public knowledge yet but WG sent me flowers today ( creeping after a lovers tiff.
A letter came with the flowers that blew my mind (that is easy I know)
We have now recruited a top level consultant in fact its the MAN that WG wanted all along.
Ans yes Neil Rickets you let him slip.
He's worked with some of the biggest names in buisness
Carillion
British Home Stores
Toys R US
Poolypeck
And last but not least where it all began
His family buisness
Of rigourmortis and son
WG thinks he will fit in great
And if he makes half the contribution he made to those other businesses
Then we will be king
Welcome to FRG Mr Ian Club Sandwich

Eat that Ricketts

An insight to what AECOM are working on with VRS – 3d printing sector!

It is generally accepted that the technology of 3D printing is in its infancy, but this is far from the truth. Large-scale objects can already be rendered in an array of materials and with impressive tensile strengths and lifespans.

Key quote from VRS

“We have a range of new products to be launched for the 3d printing sector, these have been tested to give increased performance through the use of graphene and we are looking at launching these products worldwide.

Key quotes from AECOM

“The concept was a 3D printed structure – and this is where things get extremely exciting: we’re looking at printing large-scale structures that support the signalling equipment.”

“The Scaled printer has the capability to print in concrete and graphene-enhanced concrete, but is currently being used to test different types of composite, glass fibre and carbon fibre – in total, around 60 materials are being researched for various construction applications.”

For example:

“ Aecom is working in glass fibre-reinforced plastic”

Good knowledge. We are not a referenda country. We had a Referendum masquerading as a General Election.Vice Versa perhaps. Are you happy with things ? Yes NoSuper can use irony on voting in Parliament but this is as had been said a Tory psychodrama. The problem has been a) Rumanian,b) Estonians c) Etonians And , sadly ,St Paul's and Westminster. Thrown in.

Of late there is certainly a buyer above £1 so anyone who chooses to sell for less may well have to pay more to get them back in my opinion.

Switzerland is anything but a hard break from the EU. It's in the customs union and has freedom of movement. Doubt any Brexiteers would be happy with that. And on top of that they want closer ties to Europe now as their opaque banking laws are getting less beneficial to them and they want to take our place as financial centre of Europe.
