This strange feeling of relief that I didn't get hammered and lose even more money today makes me wonder if this is what a battered wife feels like.I'm supposed to be grateful that, for once, I didn't get hurt.... maybe he's changed? Maybe everything will be fine from now on? Hmmmmm.

Superg, you mentioned a product on show at geic 'graphene enhanced silicon.' Are we talking a 'graphene enhanced rubber sheet'. In this case silicone ? I've seen a possible aerospace application, in effect a thermal heatsink for electric aircraft? I could post the description and link if so ? Atb ellis

So Spid just for you, some Hayd guys knew better than to heed the warnings.

FGR are bleeding cash and will run out shortly if they don’t get backing, talk os as early as April. They have very little to show re revenue and a big salary bill.

Those that may back them will see near all the money goes on salaries and FGR now desperate and failed to get backing from the UK will most likely get hammered on the share price for a discount, IF they get backers.

Good luck spid you have been warned.

Another little snippet from neill and his background. Great free research the web ! Bravo neill, someone spotted your potential back then, as do 1000's of shareholders now. Backing vrs to succeed here ! Aimo best ellis

Ridicule - well put but it’s impossible for the fast (long and short) money not to be trading this kind of company. Nearly all the valuation opinions are subjective and difficult to prove/disprove, which results in the shouting and repetition to try and influence the price. In the meantime we all have to live with the volatility en route to the 4th industrial revolution!

Sometimes you can simply forget some of the potential applications and sectors this can disrupt , and that’s why there’s global interest and government interest I suspect

Indeed rid. The detractors and malcontents want holders to make vrs a binary choice. There is no need in my mind, with so many irons in the fire, we need but one to come out and illuminate the rest at play here. Which makes a mention of a brokers note very encouraging to my mind. Patiently waiting here. Aimo. Glath. Best ellis

There is a more stable environment on this thread than in recent days and weeks. It seems to me the concern that has caused the recent volatility is not whether NR is telling the truth, but that the truth is taking longer to happen than everyone thought it would. Once this thought takes root, often aided and abetted by shorters, then a share price that has reached high levels, based on predicted hope (enterprise value) becomes increasingly vulnerable.

When the price starts to fall a feedback loop of fear and anxiety is set up. In my early years of investing, like most of us, I was very susceptable to those feelings, but then I learnt to understand that it was the investment story that counted, backed up by dilligent research. This belief has been incredibly empowered by the internet and social media where we can instantly and continuosly share and debate our research and then trade. This produces incredibly powerful feedback loops that take effect almost instantly.

Just a few short decades ago, I spent time going round news stands when on holiday abroad, to find an FT, pay £2.50 to find out how my shares had performed 2 trading days earlier. If I wanted to take action, I had to place a landline call to my broker (no direct access or on-line trading in those days) only to be told that the situation I had seen in the FT had changed yet again, often wasting the cost of that phone call. Frustrating though those times were, the feedback loops were much more benign.

Just think of the change I have just described, then think what NR and his team are attempting! A major contribution to the 4th industrial revolution! May I suggest we need to expand the timeline and measure VRS, not on what it has achieved since Christmas, but what it has achieved since, say 2015, just over 3 short years away. If we all did that, then may I suggest that share price feedback loops would be much less vicious.

Remember, things change much more slowly than we think they will, but then, all of a sudden, they change much more quickly than we thought they would! 2019 could be well be the year when that happens for VRS.

Seems north thin ply has a production base in poland ? Wasn't there some polish chatter recently when neill was over in luxembourg on behalf of innovate ? Imo. Best ellis

"...What is the future like for this kind of technology?"

"JA: We think as the world electrifies, and weight becomes increasingly more of an issue, that thin ply gains more relevance, so we see the potential being very-very high. Perhaps, not so much in the near term, but in 5-10 years autonomous electric cars may lead the innovation.

In this scenario, the weight becomes crucial as manufacturers are required to go as light as possible, which is where we come in. Thin Ply materials have in the past been expensive to produce and use as the cost of unit production is higher than that of other suppliers of conventional materials, however we have answered this problem by automating the manufacture of thin ply materials, with our production centre in Poland, so that the people cost is minimised, and affordability comes into a range where it’s cost effective and interesting..."

Also some 3rd party feedback from norththinply, who worked on the graphene watch with r mille and mclaren. From this composites world interview with them, they would work with the vrs 2D material again. Aimo. Best ellis

"Tell me about the new material, the Graph TPT, that you worked on for Richard Mille?"

"...JA: Working very closely with Richard Mille, we were able to run with the nanoloaded resin in our process, and we made a prepreg, which was then made into a block, which was then supplied to Richard Mille and made into a series of watches. The nano-enhancement has meant that the laminate is stronger, and the company used that strength to make a particularly strong watch case."

"This material has been a marketing collaboration with McLaren Applied Technologies, so it has only been exclusively made available to McLaren through Richard Mille. It is an interesting application for nanotechnology. We’re always interested in developing new materials for Richard Mille, because the brand likes to use the most progressive materials, and we often work so closely that we happen to be led in different directions.

We would definitely want to repeat the experience and see what we can do for golf shafts, or aircraft structures and other parts and that is something we will work towards when we have our new lab installed..."

UoM Research paper involving 2D tech gnp's : says graphene well dispersed. Best ellis

'2.1. Materials and processing'

"...The graphene used was the XT grade purchased from 2-DTech Graphene, Manchester, UK and used as received. The epoxy resin and hardener employed were NTPT ThinPregTM 513 system (NTPT)..."

"..The dispersion of the graphene in the enhanced epoxy composite was examined as shown in Fig. 2 and SI. It was quantified by using the intensity of the graphene Raman 2D band (I2D) (Fig. 2a). Fig. 2b & c show that the graphene is well dispersed within the fiber-reinforced composite, where a lighter color corresponds to a higher value of I2D thus higher concentration of graphene."

Bottom bullet point : "no engagement failed to date due to product performance." Per David kerr geic investor day presentation :-

Current Engagement Status
• 67 live engagements.(excluding China/Korea).
• 20 engagements under formal collaboration agreements.
• 47 under NDA agreements.
• 27 engagements are global operators within their sectors.
• Not all NDA’s result in collaboration agreements, many go directly to
testing of materials.
• Most companies prefer to remain anonymous to protect potential
competitive advantage or IP generation.
• All engagements at various stages of development.
• Some engagements involve multiple partners.
• Legal agreements can be complex, even NDA’s.
• The bigger the company, the slower the process.
• No engagement to date has failed due to product performance.

I cannot comment on how Vasarian conducts it's development process with collaborations but I can comment on my experience when dealing with customers when you are offering a product which is at the forefront of technology. If you have a disruptive technology then first of all you deal with the commercial department. No company is going to invest it's R&D department into evaluating your product if it is going to end up too expensive. If the development goes well then the procurement department will get involved. But not to discuss pricing, as this has already been covered. What precurement would want to do is evaluate your company based on being a single source supplier. So no worries from me about pricing of nanene. If graphene was commercially available so all you had to do was pop into local RS counter and ask for a Kg then I might worry.
