still it racks up the air miles, so that's good.

ridicule

from David Kerr's presentation:

"No engagement to date has failed due to product performance."

the clear implication is that engagements have failed for other reasons. Otherwise why not just say "No engagement to date has failed"?

Despite being early days profits and PEs do matter. The share price of VRS has been significantly higher than the fundamentals can support for quite some and all that is happening is the market is reminding NR that he has to start delivering to support such a valuation. History shows us that despite massively impressive new technology and IP unless you get the marketing and price points right very little else matters. NR has many positive points but as yet has not managed to deliver on who will buy and at what price. Maybe he has recognised this and that is why Fullerex comes in. Surprisingly small if that is the case but let's wait and see.

I see we have attracted quite a few new posters with an agenda (by casting doubt on the company), which they are achieving at present looking at the share price reaction.Seen it before and it is totally unethical. It want last forever, there will be a bounce back at some point, too much hi-technology for the market to ignore.

Maybe supernumerary20 hasn't posted before, but supernumerary has - they must be two different people... it's a common enough term isn't it? Although the quote about Robert Maxwell is quite amusing.

phoenixs - you do remember me - that's flattering. I've never actually posted on this board - 60,000+ posts and not one of them mine! What restraint ;¬) I'm not in the least bitter, why on earth should I be? I was scathing at the listing, have remained sceptical ever since, and see no reason to change my position now - quite the reverse.

Stig - well, downvotes are (I'm told) only possible for blues, so that might give you a clue. Somebody presumably who was reading in the last couple of hours ;¬)

Anyway, not me guv - I think there are far too many conferences and far too few orders, so I gave you an upvote because it's time somebody with a financial stake addressed the questions of 1) sales and marketing capability and 2) corporate governance.

The current vrs BoD reminds me of Robert Maxwell's famous response when asked about the size of his board - 'it needs to be an odd number, and three is too many'...

Phoenixs you are correct, supernumerary has posted repeatedly in the past on advfn vrs forums no matter what he/ she says. Sometimes people don't even know when they are lying because they do it so often.

Fortunately I was restricted to a library of one comic during my younger years. Probably the sort of parenting that proclaimed “sold out of ice cream” when the chimes sounded. Look and Learn was prescribed as the swashbuckling, jaw breaking and stomach splitting reading material. Opportunely the lack of more frivolous material taught me to recognise the looking and learning. Published Material in the day was filtered, screened and presented as informative and truthful. The media was entrusted with providing information and commentary, there was little to no interaction between groups of interested parties and very little interference from those with agendas. The media enjoyed the engagement of their trusting followers. Progress saw the advent of a new manipulative age where we could all enjoy some mindless minutes behind an avatar, or indeed some Machiavellian orchestration of fabricted content.

Today we have the ability to peddle any fact or fiction in the digital world of the cyber scribe. The self appointed purveyors of ridicule, fake news, perverse views, vitriolic attacks, predictions and forecasts. This on an individual or organised basis. As none of the assembled words have been vetted, filtered or scrutinised they are but there to build a story for the attention of the targeted reader.

‘‘Tis best to look and learn, leave the comic to readers where a smile is raised and no serious response to subversive or encouraging words is ever considered. I suppose it fills those parts of a day where reactions to words bring out the undisireable reaction to emotion. Leaving one punching a paper bag or worse allowing a cognitive function to be influenced.

This is surely the time to cushion the blows from the punches thrown by taking comfort from the reasons and the people we entrusted with our investment. Not those who take pleasure in being the troll or the dark side of Jiminy Cricket.

70p tomorrow. NR has been found out. His fan club is rapidly shrinking. That's what happens when you promise a lot and deliver nothing. He's been known to say "you don't know what I know" Turns out he knew naff all. TOTAL PLONKER.

Not one collaboration has failed due to quality of product. The quality of VRS's products is second to none. Huge demand building. The dam will burst eventually. The rewards will be gigantic.

Remember the unfulfilled auction bids for 90,000 shares at 60p?

Someone is still short that amount, and with each day that passes we are closer to large-scale orders coming in and the share-price really taking off.

This whole drop reeks of manipulation. This is a last ditch effort by a gang of cronies to help someone exit as close to 60p as possible (or lower). Stops are being hit, triggering sales, and nervous PIs are selling out. They are desperate and they are putting everything into it.

Good luck to all lth.

Just waiting for Spid (Grigor’s muppet/puppet) to post his trollope. It is interesting to note how many of the detractors have posted today. All in unison. Even “supernumerary” has reappeared, I seem to remember him from the days when VRS were 15p a share and he was scathing then. How bitter he must be now, obviously trying to put the boot in.Some of course will have a number of avatars but their continuous bashing of VRS will certainly not persuade me to part with my holding.
My investment decision was and still is based on the huge potential for graphene as produced by Versarien in a world which is going to go through a graphene based industrial revolution. It does not matter to me that as of this time VRS are not making money on graphene or its composite products. It is all about the development of a business which is a world leader and I believe will continue to be so as it cements its collaborations with commercial contracts as the weeks and months go on.
It is worth noting that VRS has at least two years of cash at its present rate of cash burn and that is without any commercial contracts for graphene. That is more than enough as far as I am concerned. Those who go on about profits and PEs at this moment in time of VRS’s development really need their heads tested. They are showing a complete lack of understanding about cutting edge technology and what it takes to bring that technology to market.
Good luck to all long term holders. I believe that our patience will be rewarded

Thanks mj, for what it’s worth I am a genuine holder. I’ll refrain from posting if I just get my head bitten off I really had no idea of what I was saying could have been misconstrued with shorting. Good luck bud an all anyway. I really hope things turn around.

Perhaps it’s my turn to be naive but I can’t see the issue with SwizzL at all. I’m usually the suspicious type but maybe my senses are weakening. If anything though he actually change the sentiment on the BB for the better. Everyone chipping in advice and support. A refreshing change from the usual responses to the idiots polluting the board. Good luck with whatever you chose to do SwizzL, you know my recommendation - hold for the ride there is no share like this. You could say today was an absolute gift if we rally from here.

supernumery your post 60521. I hear what you are saying about tripling the number of executive directors, because NR is not covering all the bases, but can you produce hard evidence that collaborations have stalled or failed? This is a new technology and the collaborations are still only in their first 18 months. Can you produce any evidence that even one collaborator has announced that they have ended the collaboration? I must confess that I haven’t! This evening, Neill invited, as he has done on previous occasions, anyone with concerns to email him. Are you going to do that? Do you believe in your Country and the need to support young, innovative companies who are trying to commercialise a British breakthrough that very exceptionally won the Nobel Prize?

Today has been a tough day for NR and his team. Is your timing in putting the boot in a case of mindless insensitivity or was it a calculated act. I have run an SME have you?

Well that was good. Don't you just hate it when a day like that happens. So what have we got at the end of the day. Seems like there was a lot of buying in the last half hour. With a whole herd of shorts talking the company down (and anything else they could think of) to manipulate the price. Isn't there a saying about buying when there is blood on the streets. To me it felt like a desperate, concerted, last ditch attack. Almost as if the puppet masters are thinking/expecting that sooner, rather than later, news will fall that will make their task much more difficult. Versariens, the stage may have just have been set for the PERFECT STORM. Its possible that a few lth may have moved over to the dark side and joined the shorts. So sooner or later all those shorts will need to close. If the the funds are close to out, and news falls (that adds meat to the bones of all the hard work to date) you won't be able to buy in anything other than small amounts. Add in another bit of news and we could be in for one hell of a rally. So when will the news come, I don't know. I ain't got a clue what I am doing, but I like to think it will be, always when you least expect it.
