Jointer. Your post 47935. Neill confirmed to me in answer to a direct question that the 1kg production rate was per shift and a shift = 8 hours. Not sure whether the same criteria applies to 3T?

raf

The authorities don’t know. There is all sorts of things that can be done.

There is a saying “Give them enough rope to hang themselves”

The more the better😎

nanene the real McCoy.

beware fake graphene.

a lack of production standards has led to many cases of poor quality graphene from suppliers.

“It is alarming to uncover that producers are labelling black powders as graphene and selling them for top dollar, while in reality, they contain mostly cheap graphite.

and Graham, why do you *never* mention the fact that YOU BOUGHT PRG TOO!!!! Admittedly you didn't hold for very long, but the wonder is you bought at all after all your much-vaunted research.

Don't like being reminded of your failures eh? Like IOF? I know one s'holder who lost £100k after falling for your 'research' on that crock...

Superg1, it is awful to see people act this way. Moreover, there does seem like there is little the authorities do to stop them.

Scale-Up

Worth reading what Versarien said back in June 2015

“Importantly, the 2-DTech production process provides significant amounts of single layer graphene on an industrial scale.
2-DTech are currently working with a number of clients, from industries as diverse as military, medical and consumer products, requiring access to high quality, cost effective graphene and are expecting to form a number of further partnerships to commercialise this technology in a timely fashion in the near future.”

Sounds pretty impressive. This was only 1 year after buying 2-DTech. Fast forwards to 2018 and a presentation given by Dr. Stephen Hodge head of research at Versarien on scaling up production

He states here “when Versarien bought 2-DTech they could produce 1g/day” now and “for the last year they have the capacity to produce 100g/day” further he “states that they have proven the technology to produce 1kg of Nanene grade material per day”. Interestingly on his slide he shows only part-processed material in Kg size. Why not show Nanene?

But hold on a moment that means that during 2017-18 they had found a way to produce 100g/day up from 1g/day in 2014. The 2015 RNS said that they could produce graphene on an Industrial scale. We know from his comments that Versarien went from 1g/day ->100g by 2017.
What makes Versarien think that somewhere between 1g and 100g is Industrial scale!

Competitors are currently scaling up to 10,000 tonnes of Graphene!

Very good post Serratia, as all your postings are. Top man.Just been watching:The secret story of stuff: Materials of the modern world (BBCi player)Program highlights:Rolls Royce jet engine blades...Ceramic (high temperature insulation, to keep the blades at a cooler temperature) coated metal jet engine blades. And from the R.R. future test jet engine...Woven ceramic (silicon carbide) jet engine blades to replace super nickel alloy meyal blades.Advantages:Super light weight.Blades do not need cooling.Just goes to show some of the amazing properties of modern materials and perhaps not related to the ceramic blades above (or perhaps graphene enhanced jet engine blades are the future), what graphene can and will play its part in many modern/future materials.

Excellent analysis, Serratia, based on solid reason and research. Despite the current political and economic uncertainty, we also added at 109 this morning - simply seemed like too good an opportunity to miss!

Yes enjoyed reading your post Serratia . Great summary that just confirms why I and many other long term investors are happy to be patiently invested in VRS. Also highlights the utter rubbish spouted by those with negative agenda against VRS. Looking forward to the day they will all be gone nursing their losses. Let's hope is sooner rather than later.

Brilliant serratia, I think you have summed up very well why we are invested here and why I certainly, feel confident enough to add at every opportunity.
This company is like a diamond in a pile of graphite...only harder!

Super G, I don’t think it’s anything to do with IQE just the market not liking high risk / negative PE stocks at the moment, simples. The trend for these stocks is down and could be for some time, unless news/deal driven. If you have a long term horizon then it’s nothing to freak out about (like some guys are), but plenty don’t like risk and are short termists

jointer, "nanene has no peer". Serratia's post says it all. I agree with you but there are some who will continue to lie about the qualities supplied by other companies in order that they may continue to slag off Versarien. I do not even try to discuss with some because they do not want to know the truth when it is sitting in front of them.

The management team at Versarien are, in my opinion, doing exactly what I would expect of them: working all hours of the day, all over the world and building a business with which they and we as investors can and will be proud to be associated.
