14/11/2018 22:29 | "I’m liking the 70k shares bought out of hours at 117p today" - Fes I saw it as well, but don't understand why anyone would pay that out of hours. Not easy to see what the final price was? | ![]() axotyl
14/11/2018 22:27 | Looks like apple needs a new iphone. Folding bigger screens looks to be the next play in mobiles, re samsung. Better batteries and Faster processors needed though? Thus Better thermal management reqd. Just in time, +nanene 2D graphene could help ? Hope so ! You know it makes sense ? Aimo. Best ellis | ellissj

14/11/2018 21:43 | Neill tweet re picture of martin kemp, out representing company today. Found out by deduction, he was at a composites conference organised by innovate knowledge transfer network ! Best ellis. Neill Ricketts @neillricketts 2h "Even when I am not there I am there @KTNUK looking over your shoulder Martin Kemp :)" This martin kemp; "Dr Martin Kemp is Chairman of the Nanomaterials Committee of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3). Of particular note, Dr Kemp has written the new standard for graphene flakes (British Standard Institution BSI PAS 1201:2018 'Properties of Graphene Flakes - Guide') which was sponsored by InnovateUK and will be published in August 2018." "Materials for Composites Collaboration Event" Southampton, SO14 5FP 10:00–16:00 Overview "To bring together end users, composites industry and the chemical industry to jointly look at the needs and challenges in composite materials The Composites Leadership Forum and the Chemistry Growth Partnership have both identified the development of Composite Materials to be a priority and an opportunity. In Whilst various recent initiatives have addressed the needs and challenges for the Aerospace and Automotive Sectors in Composite Materials, there is a need to look at the sectors outside of these, such as construction The aim of this collaboration event is to bring together end users, composites industry and the chemical industry to jointly look at the needs and challenges in composite materials and what development steps will be required to address these. The benefits of attending are: – finding out about funding opportunitiesfor your organisation – if you are from the composites sector, meeting materials suppliers known to you but also new entrants from the chemicals sector with whom you can collaborate to innovate – if you are from the chemicals sector, meeting potential end users for your products from the composites sector with whom you can collaborate to innovate" Here's the venue lounge, by virtue of sign on wall behind speaker in neills tweet ! 14/11/2018 21:38 | Lovat Scout, I genuinely have to pinch myself every time I read through the list of collaboration announcements over the past year, and imagine where the next development phase could actually take us. I never dreamed we'd move this far this fast, and contrary to some people's opinion that we need to stop collaborations to concentrate on orders, absolute B@llocks. We can never ever get enough collaborations, that is the core business model (as Neill tirelessly points out every few weeks). | ![]() magic beans
14/11/2018 21:32 | So imo, the bad news is that we have ascertained over the last few days that we have a couple of 'dodgy' 'investors' here. The good news is that the sight of their true colours has brought to light the fact that we have a lot of really good solid sensible investors... Silver linings are always there if you look for them. | ![]() woodpeckers
14/11/2018 21:30 | @spid NR has about 11 on Graphene. He likes to confuse the £10m in turnover as being something to do with Graphene. In fact 90% by staff numbers are working in the boring engineering business that has never made much money since it was bought in 2013. Back then NR told the city that a new wonder material Versarien Cu would change the world and on the back of this raised funds and bought Total Carbide with shares and cash. That's where most of Versarien still resides. Oh by the way Versarien Cu was a total flop | ![]() loglorry1
14/11/2018 21:30 | Spot on. 2 1/2 years in now, on a graphene tilt, way ahead of where i thought we'd be. Keep pinching myself. I was thinking 5-7 years at least. Glalth. Best ellis | ellissj
14/11/2018 21:23 | Magic beans - agreed! Been invested in VRS for 5 years and buying in at various levels. No point in being here unless you have a long term view and faith in the management to ultimately deliver a difficult but highly rewarding outcome. I regarded VRS as a venture capital investment initially and i think it’s only now entering the next development phase. RNS junkies and investors with shorter time horizons are going to be disappointed and will probably vote with their feet, which is fine by me, as VRS is not for them. AIMHO etc | lovat scout
14/11/2018 21:08 | Guys FGR have to make some sales. No question there. So do VRS. FGR at £20m market cap has a whole lot less downside than VRS at £170m! The downside risk in VRS is much higher at this point in market cap terms. However it's perfectly true that if FGR don't start selling soon they'll be toast like Haydale. Its pretty clear VRS will be back at 20p though too if they don't make sales. NR might be able to ramp for a while but they need results. Is there much difference? | ![]() loglorry1
14/11/2018 20:55 | Serratia. Excellent post from earlier. Many of us have similar stories, and it's always refreshing to hear other people's journeys. Mine started 4 years ago, and the main thing I remember from back then was, well, nothing happened. Just waiting and waiting for any news that involved the graphene side of the business. Waiting to see whether or not the lab process could actually be scaled up to commercial levels (i.e. could they make machines to turn the magic fairy dust into flubber - this was my technical understanding of the process). I think we went about a year without any news at one point. Not sure some of the barking nutters on here could cope with that now, they start chewing their own faces off if we go a week without an RNS these days. | ![]() magic beans
14/11/2018 20:46 | Yep, the First Graphene board are doing it for themselves, next thing we know is they’ll be paying LogLorry Tim Kempster for his ramping nonsense 😂 FGR buy cheap, buy twice 🤔 | ![]() richardc77
14/11/2018 20:40 | That tweet is rather a 'messy' photo... are we, as Stuart points out, instead meant to be looking at the trainers rather than the table??? On serratia's point about director shareholdings, I seem to remember that Neill did mention that they were trying to ensure that Matt, Peter etc could acquire a stake in the company...very hard for them to buy in a company like this when for the vast majority of the time it must be in a close period due to pending news...do hope they manage to organise this as they deserve to reap the rewards that the rest of us are free to take advantage of. | ![]() woodpeckers
14/11/2018 20:36 | Why do you guys think that if Firat Graphene and Haydale can't make Graphene work and will go bust this is good for Versarien? I don't think your logic is at all sound. | ![]() loglorry1
14/11/2018 20:08 | Everyone knows First Graphene are going to go bust, cash burn horrific and as you say greedy board salaries. Money invested in them will end up worthless. | ![]() tomduck
