"Appointment of South Korea Representative"

"Versarien plc (AIM:VRS) ("Versarien" or the "Company"), the advanced materials group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachel Yeong-Mee Kim as the Company's local representative in South Korea.

Based in Seoul, South Korea, Ms Yeong-Mee Kim has a background in research, journalism and with governmental and international organisations, including the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and the United Nations.  Her role will be to identify and help progress additional opportunities for Versarien's graphene businesses in South Korea.

Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: "We are delighted that Rachel has joined the Versarien team.  South Korea is an important potential market for Versarien.  We announced our collaboration with Korean-based AXIA Materials in August and having a local presence will be very valuable as we seek to enter into relationships with other Korean companies."

Ask yourself why someone has to repeatedly spend pluscoins to get their posts visible in the thread header, because it's the only way they can get their "information" in front of people who have them filtered.

Tragic really, indicative of a small mind and deep seated narcissistic complex.

I haven't had time to work out the supply that seems to have been around this month perhaps on top of what was about in October.

Pure speculation here on a theory and it could be completely wrong. I'd have to check daily totals for November in detail (no time at the present).

Miton

As I recall on the trust fund they had 10% redemptions last year compared to the normal 1% so it caught them cold.

Someone explained to me that Miton needs to keep the fund value above £100 mill to keep it open. VRS shares were sold aggressively to meet the redemptions and pay off those withdrawing.

One of funds biggest holdings was YU which got smashed recently on news. So I'm just curious if the fund has had to do some quick shuffling. I think about 1.2 mill VRS shares were left there.

Just speculation and I'll check the Miton trust fund data sheets and any comment around that fund (if they are out there) when I have the time.

Meanwhile I expect material news from VRS in the coming weeks and months and so personally see the share price as good value. What the market does is beyond our control.

Indeed raf; per neill poddy, he floated idea after PM's trade trip to china, such was the interest. To get DIT secondees, i imagine you have to prove your case. Thus by definition, only bona fide companies need apply. Aimo. Best ellis

@ellissj that's not saying anything. I'm sure NR is confident. He's always confident about everything. It's his job to be confident he does it very well.

I may be confident that I'm going to win the Euro millions but I doubt I will.

Also worth noting that ISO/TS 80004-13 laid out langugage that described different types of Graphene language. It didn't really set a criteria anyway other than to say over 10 layers would not be included as Graphene. So to meet this criteria as far as layers are concerned that's all that would be required. Nanene is actually only 90% less than 10 layers as per its spec sheet. Putting that aside there are many many producers out there which meet this criteria.

The market is waking up to the fact that VRS has nothing particularly special. It has a decent FLG product in all probability which it has not shown it can produce at scale yet. That's certainly not unique.

Why then justify the 9x Twitter Multiple compared to its peers.

Will there be a Dorothy moment here as the curtain is pulled back to reveal who the Wizard of Oz really is?

"The introduction of ISO/TS 80004-13: 2017 last year was a welcome development as it defined the vocabulary for graphene and two dimensional related materials. We are confident that our products meet the criteria."

Thank you Timbo for the repost,

I probably should have added this part of the announcement,

Managing Director, Craig McGuckin, stated: "First Graphene expects this will translate into multi-tonne sales of PureGRAPH™ to the mining services sector in the near term. We thank the foresight of companies like newGen who have embraced this new technology.”

I know a few on here have down played FGR achievements with the graphene polyurethane,

The polyurethane Liner weighs 200kg which will require upto 2kg or graphene (per bucket), the existing liners need to be replaced every 6 months,
the PureGRAPH polymer lasts between 1-5x longer, the cost of the graphene ($400 per bucket) will be quickly offset against the gains in productivity and labour.

certainly looking forward to the multi tonne graphene sales in the near future.

Indeed, superg1. I can understand people’s frustration with the share price but if you have done the research then you may well see this drop as an opportunity. I particularly am impressed that the government have only seconded 3 employees to industry. One to RR and 2 to VRS, that alone speaks volumes.

What's happening to the share price? reality? We need a collaboration. C'mon fatty, give us another collaboration before the congregation leaves. Better still, how about an update on just one of all those you have been so happy to announce. It is a legal responsibility you know otherwise you may be considered as a manipulator. Ignorance or lack of experience as an executive officer is not an excuse.

investors worldwide are running for the hills. tech stocks are getting a real kicking and growth companies like vrs are out of favour in bear markets. we are at the end of the bull run imo and we just have to wait it out until news comes, as it surely will.

Starting to get bored now with this relentless drip, drip, drip of shares, knocking the price down. Not planning on selling any obviously - more peed off that I have no spare funds to buy more. With everyone abroad this week at various shows and important meetings etc, would hope for some news soon to turn the dripping tap off! NR at UoM today if I'm not mistaken so hopefully a big important meeting that will lead to a price reversal. I can but dream!

@ellissj 1kg/day is not "at scale production"!!!

Can you point me to the RNS which says VRS have applied? I'm sure they have but I must have missed it.

I realise VRS have bought machines to scale up to 3mtpa but to my knowledge the output from these has not been tested.

Oh also does 45m2 surface area count as high quality. It's much lower than peers eg xps at up to 800m2.

At this point in time, to my knowledge, no other company has publically declared they have applied to join the graphene council verification scheme. And/Or that their products will meet proposed iso 2D standards - like VRS have; And at scale production. VRS look peerless in this regard. I stand to be corrected. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis

I see @SuperG says he's buying more at £1.08 today. When the price was £1.80 he was ramping like mad but I don't recall him saying he was buying then.

He also said there was a big short desparate to get out at £1.45 but they never appeared.

Someone is still selling here. Could it be the Wizard of Oz ?
