Thanks for those posts today elliss

I like the write up from this link regarding the pitch session in todays expo.

"The conference also includes an Exclusive Investor Pitch session that will include presentations from pre-vetted qualified graphene companies to a special audience of accredited investors ready to take action in this promising space"

One to stick in the throats of the shorters :)

No nemo i can't either. Unless he is in this meeting here, which would make sense? If not, maybe he's not attending as first indicated. Best ellis

Indeed fuji, and i see the 'investors pitch' follows after the "Standardization and Current Status" talk, both in the same room ! Which is v. helpful to investors, and if you produce iso grade graphene i imagine ! Aimo. atb. Ellis.

Denis Koltsov is shown as one of the highlighted speakers but I can't see anywhere in the programme of events where he is speaking. Can you?
Best wishes

One of the item that could attract interest in VRS will be the difference in what is called "graphene" used for example in concrete/tarmac and "nanene", the purest - few layers - graphene on offer used in medical equipment, polymers, high tech and aerospace industries, etc. where the barriers of entry are very high.

Below also part of the nga show; no idea if vrs involved, but wonder how the concept might work ? Ie Take an invention/potential product into a separate private company, retain majority stake but seed corn it with these investors present at the show, hoping for a future unicorn ? Sounds like dragons den ! Aimo. Best ellis

"SHOWCASE & PITCHES"

Global Graphene Expo showcases are 5 minute pitch opportunity to highlight and showcase your graphene-based product or prototype or seek collaboration and partnership from the audience regarding your “Idea” to incorporate graphene in an already existing product.

Exclusive Graphene Investor Pitch session is a rare and prime opportunity for 8 hand-selected graphene companies to pitch in front of a large and exclusive audience of technology investment veterans . This closed door session is only open to investors who have gathered with a special interest in scouting talent in the graphene and the graphene companies pitching."

NGA Expo Agenda. It's a great opportunity for Neill and David. 20 mins is a tight slot for a Versarien pitch. At least Neill has an hour on a Q&A panel in which to impress. I suspect (hope) he's going to be mobbed.

Re vrs presence at NGA graphene conference in texas. We have graphene expert, dr denis koltsov there. Even through my rose coloured specs, this looks very positive ;) having an iso graphene standards expert on call to cut through ! :) aimo. Glalth. Best ellis

Heres the rns advising his appn:

Strengthening of Graphene Technology Team

"The Company is pleased to announce the appointments of Dr Denis Koltsov and Dr Martin Kemp to strengthen its graphene technology team, with a particular focus on quality assurance.  Both Dr Kemp and Dr Kolsov are at the forefront of developing the international standards that will define graphene and other nanomaterials.

Dr Denis Koltsov is Chair of ISO TC 229 Nanotechnology Standards Group at ISO (International Organization for Standardization).  ISO TC 229 has already published 65 ISO standards in the field of nanotechnologies and has a further 43 standards under development.  Their focus is on developing a set of peer reviewed standards for graphene and closely related materials that will facilitate the ability of producers and users of these materials to have confidence in the level of performance on a consistent and measurable basis."

Heres the link where dennis is confirmed as a 'highlighted speaker.'at the nga texas event.

Here's the link to brec solutions ltd where dennis is a director.

Other possibility would be Solvay, they have a specialist composite site in Derby (Heanor)

"The technology centre is an R&D centre dedicated to formulating new resin systems and developing new products. The production facility focuses on the manufacture of prepregs (the combination of woven or unidirectional glass or carbon fibre with resin) via the hot-melt production method. Finally the application centre develops new technologies and processes for the adoption of composites in high volume markets such as automotive or aerospace."

What company is that please RobinHood?

Could it be Haydale Composite Solutions of Loughborough?

I don't think so stargazey as Haydale don't appear to be in Derby, unless you know otherwise?

"The cash component of the consideration will be used by GNA to provide funding for the scale up of a pilot plant.  The Acquisition will also provide Versarien with a centre of excellence for graphene enhanced energy storage devices in Europe, giving access to a proportion of the c.€1bn of research funding available in the EU post Brexit, and access to Spanish graphene research institutions."
