I think NR trip to the US will be exploited to the full.
Not surprised if an announcement of VRS first collaboration with a US big shot is released following the visit.

Ian Cowie

I was impressed that having looked at it and considered that he had missed the boat that he then bought.

I've been aware of Ian and him looking at VRS for some time. Ian said that in the early days he thought graphene was just hype and would come to nothing.

HIs attitude started to change especially when DIT staff were seconded across to VRS and China (in many forms) are talking to VRS.

'Others' who trash it have to. They went the other way at 60p and 70p but don't want to talk about that so due to their nature they need to keep the lies spinning as long as they can.

It's all just a scam you know the gov staff is all made up. Even though many investors have met them in person they simply don't exist.

".. At long last USA is emerging as a real user of graphene and accounting for 40% of the world market"..

Or not - depending how much faith anyone puts in any of the many predictions, surveys, reports, etc that are churned out daily by various parties

The reports industry grows ever faster. The weight of paper used in printed versions of reports on graphene must far outweigh the weight of graphene produced worldwide.

It looks as if one or two may have got it wrong on Friday.
The short trap they set up may catch them all along this week.
IMO the earlier they close, bite the bullet and forget about it, the earlier they would cut their losses.

“OT: Club, I find it difficult to reconcile your negative attitude towards the Conservatives with an apparently unreserved embrace of any Chinese hook-up notwithstanding their dreadful record with regard to human/ animal rights, environmental protection, national sovereignties and IP.”

Not a fan of China or the Chinese, their record on human rights is appalling. However, given that VRS seem to want to do business there, I wish they’d get on with it. The only thing you can say for them is that their command-and-control economy sure does get things done...

[edit] and besides, I don't get to vote in China, or live with the consequences of other people's votes...

An extension of that Lovat for which I agree.

In the event we secure a number of orders as a result of these collaborations then production facilities will need to be set up near the partners manufacturing facilities, irrespective of country.

My other thought is, building blocks would start at home with a major production facility set up in the U.K. (Wales), supported by the U.K. who phycislly demonstrate a lead. This could be supported with low rent, rate free warehouses and tax relief. It’s all about the end user though and the adoption of the product to make it feasible.

Hover — you do talk about something which may be the elephant in the room - geopolitics.

Matt Walker and NR have mentioned that a UK Govt licence would likely be needed for business to be concluded with China - no such problem with clearance for USA and other NATO/five eyes countries.

Maybe we’ve all bought the dummy, been side stepped and have been looking East instead of West?

Just a thought.....

Filling of gaps is not a consistent enough occurrence to be relied on anyway. It sometimes happens and sometimes doesn't. On some types of stock it does happen more often than not - but that ain't reliable enough for me to ever stake money on it. It's just a novelty. Not worth bothering with imo. ;-)

(I'm sure someone will insist otherwise - in which case they are welcome to gamble on it themselves of course).

OT: Club, I find it difficult to reconcile your negative attitude towards the Conservatives with an apparently unreserved embrace of any Chinese hook-up notwithstanding their dreadful record with regard to human/ animal rights, environmental protection, national sovereignties and IP.

Peter Jay is surely less a heavy weight negotiator than a face saving, diplomatic means of stone walling the Chinese? I hope so, the less we have to do with them the better IMHO.

We have collaborations bringing mutual benefit from research along with NDA and reciprocal disclosure; big companies sought out VRS and they know what +Nanene can provide, we know what they know and whereas they cannot proceed without VRS, we can through alternative partnership etc, particularly if they prefer to obfuscate and delay.

The world needs graphene and we seem well placed to provide; Neill has advised in the past that he is not afraid of competition with such a vast, wide open market but that he is racing to establish a commercial network to ensure that VRS succeeds whatever the future competition: this is likely to diminish substantially in the near future as the influence of testing agencies comes to bear and indeed how many more start ups are going to persuade investors to sink millions into alternative methods of producing something as effective as +Nanene with an already established 2D production/ collaboration/ research/ elaboration/ international moat? God, I’d hate to be in business.

I would say that the fact due diligence and research prior to investing himself including endorsing the ceo is recommendation as far as he would be able to without being accused of ramping. I think it is a confident right up of VRS future prospects.

It's nice to have a bit of press coverage as in the Sunday Times article it wasn't a all out buy Vrs writeup, but it will at least raise awareness of the company and maybe help the share price a bit on Monday.
