24/9/2018 21:04 | What are the chances of the government being our cornerstone investor? After all they have already seconded 2 DIT members. | ![]() chimpandy1
24/9/2018 21:01 | Interesting reply from Neill. Could be a company who have a DD agreement, or collaborator. I would not have thought that it would be a financial institution as there would not be need for secrecy. Neill seems very happy whoever it is. | ![]() rogerbridge
24/9/2018 20:52 | Thx hew and neill. Exciting times, feels like a step change here imo. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
24/9/2018 20:46 | Sounds interesting but all I would say is that if their holding is less than 3% which it must be if no TR1 issued (poss 5% if o/ses registered I believe), then I wouldn't exactly call them a cornerstone investor - at least not yet. Perhaps they have assured NR that they will buying and holding a substantial amount of shares, possibly the buyer that has been supporting the share price recently when Miton have been selling. Looking forward to them breaking cover though. | ![]() cheek212
24/9/2018 20:43 | It would appear Neill seems very happy to have this investor onboard. I’m happy with that and sounds like they will not be flipping shares. Neill said they chose to stay below TR1 level. | graphite bot

24/9/2018 20:36 | Gosh, Neill is on the ball! Five mins. " The cornerstone investor in this placing has chosen at this stage to remain anonymous and hasn't breached the thresholds required for a TR1 announcement." I guess that means Cornerstone re Friday's fundraise, not more generally. EDIT: Given that personal response, I, for one, will not raise it publicly tomorrow. | ![]() hew

24/9/2018 20:31 | Finding it is of wider interest, I've just emailed Neill re cornerstone investor to make him aware of the interest after I raised it here - thinking it would be generally known. Doubt it was a slip of the tongue, but possible. I will post his response, subject to whatever request he may make. Likely to cover tomorrow now, I expect. | ![]() hew

24/9/2018 20:17 | I wonder if our buyer of the last few weeks has used this opportunity to up their game. And taken a bigger chunk becoming our cornerstone investor . Versarien are attracting massive attention now. | graphite bot
24/9/2018 20:11 | Never heard the term 'cornerstone investor' before, best ellis; heres best answer from quora:- 'A “cornerstone investor” is an investor that takes a large portion of a fundraising round. Here are a few (rough) numbers for context In an IPO, they may take for example a 20% stakeIn angel investing, they might be contributing 60% of the funding round, while other investors take the remaining amount between themIn equity crowdfunding, they might take 25%+, as a way of validating the opportunity for the public Credible cornerstone investors are people who have a deep understanding of the team, the product, and the market opportunity. You might expect to see them on “Dragons Den” or “Shark Tank”. They demand appropriate valuations, conduct strong due diligence, and assist in post-investment monitoring of investee companies. Cornerstone investors also encourage investment from others, as funds committed by them give a funding round momentum on day one, giving other investors more confidence in the proposition.' Not sure how this relates to vrs, unless it's a leading institution that gives confidence to others ? Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
24/9/2018 20:07 | Bazzerp when you referred to a penniless Zimbabawean refugee I thought you were actually referring to me. I live in Harare and lost all my money on IQE (well 50% of it). However luckily I made a bit of it back on IQE. I went to University of Cape Town followed by a stint in Fund Management and am now Chief Financial Officer of a listed miner in Zimbabwe. I dabble on the AIM. Had a bad experience with IQE and am now here. But you could call me a penniless Zimbabwean. Good on you for hiring a Zimbo down there in the Cape Well done. Things are very tuff here still and we are in the midst of an economic crisis of economic proportions despite bob being deposed. | thecrunk
24/9/2018 20:03 | Would like answers to that one too Hew from the AGM ... feels like a new cornerstone institutional investor coming on board maybe? Would love to know identity of the 3 IIs as well | ![]() mikebrenner
24/9/2018 19:58 | Just noticed the increase in "new" visitors to the BB of the flag counter for the week after Neill's visit to Spain, just before the Golf Day. Also a raise in price that week, perhaps a few Spanish in the know have bought in... Manuel he know nothing!! | ![]() topthat
24/9/2018 19:58 | Have a great time all who are going to the AGM. Can’t make it as I’m in the states. Hugely exciting times | ![]() a_game
24/9/2018 19:50 | Looking forward to the AGM news. I have lived in Cape Town for the past 7 years, so cannot attend the AGM. I have a life-changing pile of VRS purchased at 14p. I am from Norfolk so find it difficult to understand how I did that ;-) I have to let a penniless Zimbabwean refugee char into my step-daughters house in this little seaside village. We are supporting her whole family & improving their squatter-camp housing. hxxps://www.sa-venue Thanks Superg1 | ![]() bazzerp

24/9/2018 19:30 | I heard the same thing mentioned twice and also wondered who that was so maybe a bonafide question if nobody else knows the answer. I had thought maybe one of the two universities (or maybe both) that own VRS shares assuming they still own them. | ![]() cheek212
24/9/2018 19:24 | I. Going to be driving over from Kent, so will be leaving early to miss queue on M25.. I should be there well before 10.00. Hopefully it will be open by 10.00am. Look forward to meeting people tomorrow. | ![]() owenga |
