I will not name the very long list of people on this board who have helped me in so many ways with their informative posts for the simple reason there are so many.
So the simple thing to do is thank you all.

I have only been investing for a few years really and that is only when I can afford the odd £500 AGM £1000 Haydale £1000 Lloyds and £1000 Ocado.
I Did have some money I wanted to invest and whilst searching for a risk I thought worth taking I happened upon VRS. I liked what I read and took a plunge.
In my real life I am a self employed handyman so a heavy investment is for now out of the question but I live in hope.
I have topped up when I could and will continue to do so.
I am just so grateful that so many seasoned investors on this board are willing to share their advice and knowledge.
I appreciate for a great number of you this is your daily life.
I feel so fortunate to have come across this group who talk openly about success and failure with such honesty.
This investment for me could be life changing I ram so excited about being a small cog in a company that could shape the future.
I love the fact that this could be the Uks crown Jewel.
I never expected to come so far so quick so that is a huge bonus
I just love the fact that it's Britain leading the way.

A ever grateful

John

Indeed superg, i imagine this trend will strengthen over time as tech improves. Of course, tipping point reached when clarkson describes himself as an 'electric head!' Lol ;) why not ? When the facts change....aimo. best ellis

I like the green number plate idea but there is another trick.

Many with means love fast cars from RS Audis and M sport BMWs through sports cars and supercars.

Electric cars can be and are ridiculously quick. They can replace the worst offending cars.

CS - wrong time of year for baby lambs, but there was some nice salmon, from the fridge.

I will have top sliced a few by £4 - £5 but for me that figure represents proof of concept, if we need such a thing, and indicates multiples of that figure is possible as the model is rolled out around the world.

Divers, why not ? AI will hoover up lots of white collar 'service industry' jobs and so more 'blue collar' highly skilled, well paid jobs reqd, hence this focus in the govts 'industrial strategy.'

It seems there is a desire for uk to lead the world in EV design AND manufacture. This link refers to 'green number plates' to promote them. Check the last paragraph re desire to lead the world. We know chinese and indian govs have same desire. So clearly there is a tech race on here to capture EV mkt. And for UK govt to have such a desire, and openly state it, it suggests UK has the ways and means ie tech. In lightweighting and battery. Eg 2D materials lead probably underpins this desire. If so, vrs could be sitting pretty. Just speculating and joining dots. Aimo. Best ellis

Re strategy, me and my wife have sipps and isa's and so naturally have a target price in mind where we can sell to comfortably retire and be in a position to help, in lots of different ways. I believe vrs has the potential to multibag year on year, and so we hope to sell half or less of our holdings to retire, and retain the rest, selling down the line as reqd to help our loved ones along the way, esp our younger generation. I will hold for as long as the company and neill keep going. I can't make the atm this year, but would like to in the future. Re vrs, I believe we can only see the tip of the iceberg here. Each to their own. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis glalth !

Firstly, good to see you back JV. nemo19 :'so I don't have to worry about exiting' - neither do I (:)) but I may tweak my current exit target of £4.00 to £5.00 - from an entry that I share with others of circa 13p. Don't they say leave something for the next person?

Senden, just a reminder that if you keep doing the same thing you get the same result.

The GDL fiasco that scrutable was in he was pumping it whilst trying to get out with a rather large holding and by his own admission he has been hit several times with his investing method.

Nothing against him, just the method he uses but fortunately 33k shares will have little impact here, however, the reinvestment strategy invariably does .

I wonder how Nanene could provide solutions/competitive advantages for our country?

Could it be that the government would like to incorporate nanene into some of its public expenditure, areas such as public infrastructure could benefit?

With the government playing such an active role, should we not also look closer to home?

A valid personal insight nemo19 and thank you for that. I too believe in the VRS story and consider myself to be a long term holder, but at my stage of the family game, I still need to lock in profit along the way, just in case, and will make decisions unashamedly and accordingly.

"the main conundrum, which keeps us dummy calculating before we drop off at night, is when to exit?"

One thing I have finally learned is to let your winners run and only sell when you see something better. Since April I have top sliced FEVR, MAB1, KWS, ACSO and SOM which have all done splendidly for me, just so I can buy more VRS, on 5 or 6 occasions. Following the excellent reports of the golf day, I have now decided to sell my remaining shares in the last 3 I hold and go all in (except for CCL which I'll continue to hold for the shareholder benefits of on board credit on cruises). The truth is that even though IMO the shares above will continue to rise long term I cannot see them matching what VRS will do. Will we ever see another share like this? Not in my lifetime - so I don't have to worry about exiting, because I won’t be!! As Ellis puts it GLALTH.

SPIKE

For a B/B, that was a massive contribution - the most extensive piece of journalism I have seen in ten years of ADVFN and in the short time available to you quite a determined effort. So very much appreciated. I have reached the depths of old age, and can only just hobble about, which means that I will probably never get to meet this highly praised management team. Thanks to the generosity of contributors I can enjoy a vicarious relationship with this company, now my second largest investment.

As I have derisked my portfolio as much as possible whilst backing the most exciting 22 companies on the LSE , my holding, accumulated this year is a modest 33,000, but the VRS share seems destined to grow. I am constantly reinvesting the surplus being continuously generated by the rise of the share price.

The share price growth has during this time been driven entirely by the story and the calibre of believers as well as of the reputation of the personnel, none of which is reflected yet in the statutory accounts.

We all know that an important ingredient is missing. Without revealing secrets which would compromise the collaborative stake-out for 'our' future market share, we should really be told at least how many collaborators have paid for trial quantities of nanene and graphene ink and more to the point how many have reordered - even how much, however small because we all know what grows from just one acorn. The statistical pattern would give nothing away to competitors and/or enemies, and would substantially de-risk the short term value of the investment

Incidentally Blue PRISM does just that: reports on the numbers of new accounts, which are rising astronomically in number, as are revenues, by 145%/pa in the last 12 months. Even though PRSM is still making losses, the share price is electrifie and, supported by marketing numbers, does not give away financially sensitive information.

Rocket fuel,
Personally until VRS have actual sales contracts of significant value, there really is nothing to shout about - I'm serious.

Any number of aim companies can boast collaborations (and we have far more than most - not all) and they are with BIG companies, but so is another I could name.

Fact is, collaborations in themselves have limited news value, and as I've said previously, news media will likely only pick up the story once at this stage of the game (until it changes significantly) (and yes, I have heard of Tesla, and it is an exception - for all the wrong reasons of late).

So - as far as being in the top 5 next week, I personally would say no (small n).

HOWEVER

My second Golf post said there were other things I had heard that had made me smile - but were for another day.

graphite bot's post above (31790) may well prove prophetic ;0)

Rocket I think like it or not at some point Versarien are going to be big news.
And more people are going to want to join our family. Government will make sure the world know about China when it happens. And the louder the Versarien name is shouted the wealthier our family of Versariens will become.
