Do we want the bb pinged up in the top five this week folks?

I wouldn't worry about who it attracts, this stock stands on its own true merits.

No poster on these boards, or twitter, will ever influence the share price movements of vrs! the bashers or shorters, can only run a commentary, formed of their own deluded opinions! They do not and cannot, move the sp!.. and nor can any ramping!..

The market knows best!

Its all about pinging it up for easy access, really.

What do we think, boys n girls? yes or no?

Thanks SG. I have just seen a golden eagle, in the wild, and I have a 3G signal, which makes a nice change from no signal or GPRS.

anotherdrink - thank you for your concern, it is nice to be missed. I have been in the back of beyond with poor internet connections. Delighted to see VRS close to an ATH, still very confident for the future and still haven’t sold a single share. Just a few posts to catch up on.

"Our existing collaborations continue to progress and I look forward to providing further updates in due course, together with announcing others that are currently in discussion."

Should this collaboration progress as we hope the potential for Versarien is considerable, as the volumes of graphene that will be required are significantly larger than for many other applications given the scale of the structures being produced.

Electric Vehicle applications - Versarien's Graphinks will be used to add smart systems to a composite electric vehicle battery tray and Versarien's Nanene will be used to improve the properties of the composite structure. The battery tray is being developed with automotive battery system manufacturers for use by global automotive OEMs.

We believe there will be many more opportunities to utilise Versarien's materials technology to bring game changing solutions to the market. We are very excited to start working with Versarien."

I missed this on the end of that news.

"We are grateful to the UK Government for their support to secure this agreement."

Anyway I could go on and on.

All keep saying how excited NR is interviews. Well the guys at the golf saw how excited the other staff were including the DIT staff.

My overall view from the DIT staff is as below Youtube clip. Trying to read and digest it in news is one thing, trying to gauge the excitement in interviews is another.

Seeing her faces when they are saying the same thing is a different game altogether.

I'm excited.

The way I see it if I piece together the golf day bits which are clarification of things said in news and they happen pre year end then my £2-£3 forecast for H2 should be a walk in the park imo. With the clear vibes of positivity I'm half wondering whether that is high enough but as I don't know what it is behind the excitement then target hit will make it a very pleasant year.

I suppose all I can do is pick bits out from news and post them.

Ashehzi, don't know if you have looked at the Justin Waite vids on investing in small caps.

As annoying as he can be sometimes he does know his stuff and plenty of good advice. He has been investing for about 20 years

Hmmm

It's amazing what photo editing can do. 2 pictures of David Kerr hitting a golf ball and both occasions they look like they left the ground.

I don't call that happening too often. :-)

The rugby season is also upon us and he loves his rugby.

Thanks, Ash - will add to my growing library on TA....haven't had much luck so far with a good one - either too simple or too advanced. First one is a freebie on Kindle, btw.

axotyl, try to read some basic book e.g.

Charting-and-Technical-Analysis-by-Fred-McAllen-9781456468699-Paperback-2012

Less than a £10 book and few hours of reading. I've it and reading it but I consider it basic as I started with more advanced books but still we don't lose anything.

Or, if you want to use MA for non-VRS stocks and want to understand the examples, try "Moving Averages 101: Incredible Signals That Will Make You Money in the Stock Market by Steve Burns (June 30,2015) Paperback – 1657"

Didn't see your post grabster! It is more than just that though axotyl you need to look at several different indicators and take into account the fundamentals and whether there is a seller.

When it did fall down through the 50 it would have been decision point for the likes of Nic and she would have sold. Could have been well played by the mm's to gather stock but sometimes we give them too much credit or blame.

sandbag, jen, agree re grabster's post ( just pushed it into the header). I lost loads when I first started investing because I didn't want to admit the loss/failure.
Big mistake. Learnt my lesson though. That's why I felt comfortable cutting losses/ taking small profits to invest all here. I'm not saying it's right for everyone and please make sure you research and feel comfortable if you do.

Just don't be pig headed and refuse to sell losers for the sake of it when you could easily get your losses back elsewhere.

Blue arrow is 20 day crossing down through 50 day hence the short interest and 20 day crossing back up through 50 on the red axotyl which is a very positive sign.

20ma crossing DOWN thru 50ma is not a buy signal - despite the fact that it does coincide here with an instance when buying would have been good. It's just an example of why simplistic application of MAs (and most chart indicators) is never dependable ;-)

Besides, an upward cross (of 20 over 50) is a more meaningful buy indicator when all three MAs (20/50/200 being the usual default choice) are heading up. An example of that occurs in the left half of your chart.

I would not risk buying or selling this stock on the basis of MA crossovers.

Shavian, SG, Spike, and the other reporters, marvellous stuff and thank you, but you didn't address the key issue: how much do golf lessons cost?

Could any passing guru answer a very simple TA question?

On the VRS chart below, at the green arrow, MA50 crosses MA20. I assume that's a signal that the share price is about to head north, which it does.

However, what's happening at the red arrow? share price still heading north. MA's intersect again (in the opposite sense) - what does that imply?

Sandbag: I so totally agree – I started investing seriously 3 years ago when I transferred my and hubbie’s various small pension funds into SIPPs (thanks to the new pension freedoms) and thereafter whatever I could into ISAs. I have managed to increase our funds by around 70% since then but in the process I have turned over more than the entire value of our combined PFs, a large proportion of which were quickly realised mistakes, sold at a small loss usually within a few weeks, the most recent being EVRH, SYM and SEE, all bought mainly on hype. I think I have finally settled down now – 75% of our holdings are in VRS and the other 25% spread across HCM, GBG, OPTI, PRSM and ZOO, all well in profit. I recently got rid of the last of my IQE (having got fed up with the shorters’ games) but I will be forever grateful to whomever of you it was that mentioned VRS on the IQE board back in November last year . . .
