Can someone say which funds are holding this at the moment. I know Miton still has a small holding but who are the others?

I first bought into VRS shortly after IPO on the copper foam story (on the basis VRS would be £1 or bust!)

As the company evolved I liked what was happening as it was credible development involving industry experts and tier one potential clients rather than just snake oil salesman talk and promises.

I’ve topped up at various points along the way and am very comfortable with my holding, but whilst happy discussing my portfolio, I don’t push VRS or any other shares to friends as ultimately it’s got to be the investor’s decision.

DYOR is so true - there are some elephant traps out there but also some hidden gems. Who would have thought the right thing to do was buy a bank in 2010? I bought ARBB for my SIPP at around £4 and adding back in the special dividends are now £20. Not as exciting as VRS but another well run business where the owner has a chunk of equity - on AIM too!

It’s not all one way traffic - my dog is GLI. Spotted the dodgy signs too late!

I suppose you're right. For me I print off the list of the lse and aim, then shortlist depending on what the chart is like before I get into fundamentals. Only started In may, the worst month supposedly.

1teepee, people keep looking for ideas (not mag tips i mean). Moto is to accept information wherever it comes from. Then, DYOR and if it makes sense, position size correctly. Info can come from stock screeners, BBs, magazines, emails. Nothing wrong in accepting what appears right.

Must be upset? I am informing a couple of people close to me. Otherwise they would say "why didn't you tell me, I could of been a millionaire as well" in 5 years time

As it turns out the big names have reacted to the no BS real GNPs story.

What I didn't see coming was the speed of it, DIT secondments, China and various bits not yet fully apparent.

That's why I say DYOR, there is so much more to learn about VRS.

I'm not sure how I spotted VRS. I go through the AIM list on the london stock exchange site from time to time so may have spotted it there.

I liked the copperfoam and was looking that up when the stupid idiots bought 2D tech. Had a rant to the PR company about funding university waste of time experiments.

NR replied to my rant doh.

His answer was something like.

"Yep I had the same view when they called but eventually they convinced me to go and have a look"

I thought good answer so arranged to meet him and chat. They were then just leaving some offiecs down the Forest way.

My first lines were. No inside info please I want to buy and sell as I please and I don't like BS.

Reply was something like I hate BS, market is full of it, that's why I've decided to build our own company with no BS.

👍👍So I looked deeper.

SP hit about 28p oil price got hit and I knew Carbide revenues would be hit so I kept watching looking for it to bottom out and for the graphene side to show viability on cost and dispersion.

Meanwhile all I would say to others in general was that I thought I had found a market sleeper.
Experts in certain sectors (One AndrewD now VRS) joined in and we went through various science papers to understand what the VRS difference was.

When they bought AAC and talked graphene in plastics that meant it was both viable and dispersion fine.

I warned the CEO I may start a thread which would mean (if VRS did well) that fruitcakes would appear🤔

Funds like Blackrock were selling die to oil prices so ot was a thanks very much.

My thoughts like some others was that the big names misled by graphene hype that were clearly interested in graphene would engage once they were aware.

In a fund raise (long story) part of which I hope makes Neills book I got some more which I still hold.

Well I'm one of the Paragon disaster investors but luckily met superg through that and he put me on to this (MANY THANKS SUPER!).I made all my PRG losses back ages ago thankfully and have been adding to my holding ever since and will continue to do so as cash becomes available.

I bought my first tranche at 15.9p so I'm looking forward to my being able to say I have my first 10 bagger hopefully next week...

My first purchase was on 6th Nov 2017 (20p) when I guess VRS hit the masses. Surely must have heard from some board. I remember superg used to come to different boards and thrash lon:prsm valuation. I have reasonable sized holding but surely could've large holding easily if i position sized correctly. Happy to learn position sizing experiences from others here. As stated in the past, started investing last year in Feb after reading some good books including Mark Minervini and Peter Lynch. I'll be 37 next month. Will keep on adding as and when get more cash assuming VRS story stays same or gets better. Current avg price per share is 77p.

ps. Invested & traded prsm bur fdev choo itm imm caml tap in the past. Had gains in all except itm and big loss in imm. Now don't start imm here please. But worth a learn from bad experience.

Maybe worth a read:

Someone asked how we all got here.
For me I came over from IQE I guess, just in time before the big drop. Being an engineer electronics type and coming from Manchester I knew about graphene from way back. I was hooked around 36p, Dec 2017, and bought about 112K. Bought more, as you do. Now got around 127K, everything except the wife & house in!
I can't say enough to thank the people on this board and I really mean that.

A long link but well worth a look at how VRS could have looked after a huge oil spill such as the BP one and all the small ones which Shell has in and around Nigeria.

However, I wonder if this is a market VRS want to get into and the company behind the demo is unknown to me.

This and other companies will be there in Austin towards the end of September so expect action from VRS.........................

On the last podcast moving production up was asked about and the reply was of the "not a problem" genre . That sounded plausible with no hint of money constraint.Hero also answered a question about valuation , Justin having said some of his contacts had said yes but very highly valued. That's the markets business ......on some exchanges we'd be undervalued....here some think over. They say business is more like bridge than poker, if you have a good hand play it carefully, e g play for the drop if you can rather than taking an unnecessary finesse.I've been trying so hard to see the problems and problemettes here, so far to no avail.

Sg - You should take a look at this (VRS).
Me - Ok.
Me - Looks good.
Sg - Have you got Butty Bach on?
Me - No but other beers are good.
Sg - Right I'll be at the Set on Monday with the ceo.
Me - Er, ok. I'll see if anyone else wants to pitch up.

Come Monday there's me, Sg, Spike, NR and 3 others from the Set. Of 4 from the Set 3 of us invested over the next few days at 12p - 14p and one (who is a retired chemist) didn't, he said he looked into it and there were too many producers already selling into the market.

Between the 3 of us invested we're north of 650k up from that day and I keep seeing the other chap in Waitrose in the morning getting his coffee. Obviously he receives regular morning updates from me as he passes.

MJ10, I first heard of VRS on the IMG Board. I had just got a wad of cash from IMG (not enough but that’s another story) and somebody was asking where people were going with their money. Somebody (not sweenoid) suggested IQE or VRS; I did my research and read up both boards, this one made a lot more sense. So I piled in at 19p. Should have bought more of course, but IQE? 170p down to 102p over the same period. I wish I could remember who it was, they deserve several beers.
