25/8/2018 09:06 | hattie- sorry, I meant customer not client - though they could be the same thing ;-) | ![]() club sandwich
25/8/2018 09:06 | And credit where it's due - I have Fest to thank for drawing my attention to VRS. We both got burned on Paragon (and are both part of the class action), and have stayed in touch by email over that and other matters. All due to him that I'm here, so my profound thanks to him. | ![]() club sandwich
25/8/2018 09:04 | Sorry that should have been addressed to smallfry blame autocorrect. | dmorty87
25/8/2018 09:03 | ...i recall also that Haydale are a customer not a competitor.. | ![]() hattie1
25/8/2018 09:02 | Yes you have had a bit of luck smaller happing on Vrs smallfry i almost went bankrupt decands ago buying shares using credit cards during the tech boom. I lost over £100,0000 and spent the next 10 yrs paying back the money but if nothing else i have become a wiser person because of it and for a long time i wouldn't go anywhere near shares. But now i'm back a small time investor with just a small amount of his own money that i can afford to lose. | dmorty87
25/8/2018 08:54 | "Bearing in mind the huge potential of both collaborations recently announced with Aecom and Axia is Haydale a good fit for Versarien to increase production of Nanene under some sort of JV with NDA's?" If I remember rightly, at the ID didn't NR say something along the lines of 'Haydale are a client, a supplier and a partner - the one thing they are not is a competitor'? | ![]() club sandwich
25/8/2018 08:49 | bootie - it would be nicely circular if the first and last companies I ever invest in (Psion and VRS) over 28ish years are both epic multi-baggers - I missed out on the first one, I don't intend to miss out on this one. And if VRS does do what I hope then I will retire from the stock-market. Unless of course I spot something of similar potential... ;-) | ![]() club sandwich
25/8/2018 08:45 | Graphene centre announces first industrial partners First Graphene Ltd, Haydale Graphene Industries Plc, and Versarien Plc have each agreed to partner in order to exploit opportunities to develop and commercialise graphene products and applications A question for the more knowledgeable here... Bearing in mind the huge potential of both collaborations recently announced with Aecom and Axia is Haydale a good fit for Versarien to increase production of Nanene under some sort of JV with NDA's? | ![]() bootie64
25/8/2018 08:40 | CS You put it more eloquent than I ever could. Thank you. I am in and staying in. From novice point of view one small thing I enjoy is the investor speak, so many terms, so many abbreviations etc. Top slice, Bagging, BB MMs and all the others which play havoc with my brain cells. | smallfry1
25/8/2018 08:39 | Well I wish I had started with a company this good when I started investing smallfry, you may have to change your login name in the future :) | ![]() bootie64
25/8/2018 08:32 | Lovely Club. Welcome Smallfry. Like Club I pinch myself that all this is happening - a product with Global reach, unbelievable diversity and infinite potential - and then I remember I'm part of the company. Happy bank holiday (but I can't wait for Tuesday!) | ![]() cloudy60
25/8/2018 08:21 | Smallfry - welcome! We have a lorra lorra laffs on here while we observe with awe an industrial Titan in the making.Short-term predictions of share price movements are a mug's game, but long-term VRS could be absolutely stellar (note: usual caveats apply).I keep having to pinch myself. Can it really be true that I've found a company which may be at the forefront of the next industrial revolution, that I bought into early, and that the company has the backing of / is talking to the U.K., Israeli and Chinese governments (so far!) and has 17 collaboration agreements, including with some absolutely humongous companies? It's been a hell of a ride so far and we've barely even started. The pre-igniters are smoking heavily, and hopefully by Christmas the rocket will rise gracefully from the launchpad towards the heavens on a pillar of fire. So stick around, and remember - never get out of the boat. | ![]() club sandwich
25/8/2018 08:03 | Well here we all are moving along at a fast pace. All but the shorters must be more than satisfied with the performance of this little British company. Even though it is a potential giant. From a personal point of view I am absolutely delighted to be a passenger on this train. I have only a small number of shares in VRS and a couple of other companies although to be honest other than Ocado and VRS they are static. It's only recently I looked hard at investing after finding my work taking a toll on my health, bad back and a arthritis etc. I just could not face another 10 years or so before I get a state pension ( no personal pension) so I have started investing when I manage to save a little money. I wanted to invest in a British company doing something exciting and WOW more luck than Judgement here I am. I came into this not expecting to make a fortune just to enjoy watching a company develop and to make enough to have a few luxuries down the line. I must admit I enjoy the banter and of course the comrade of most on this board. So to all of you have a nice bank holiday and if you are a short journey traveller or riding to the end of the line I wish you all a safe and pleasant journey | smallfry1
25/8/2018 08:01 | Yes amt, just a small matter of scaling up production , which will require capital if done in a hurry, but maybe not much if jv’d with customers. Just getting my head around the size of our latest partner AECOM. Never heard of this global giant before so perhaps worth a look at their website. Start here with their brochure: The diversity of their reach is impressive, recent news releases go from restoring the Waldorf Astoria hotel in NY to teaming up with Lockheed Martin to provide bulk energy storage batteries for US Army bases. Currently delivering 25 projects in 15 countries. The scope for incorporating +Nanene and Graphinks in all their diverse activities is a company maker all on its own. Who needs China?(only joking) | ![]() shavian
25/8/2018 07:52 | I think the profit will be because of the volume, not high end stuff that no one can afford | ![]() 1teepee
25/8/2018 07:47 | amt - $25/kg with 3t capacity per annum would only be $75K. For $75mil price would need to be $25k/kg ($25000). | ![]() smokeyjohnson
25/8/2018 07:14 | Neil mentioned now set up to produce 3 tons of graphene. Is that per year? Converting that to value if assume 25USD per kg would be about 70 million usd Is that a reasonable back of envelope calculation. So if already set up to produce that kind of amount the potential market perhaps is billions of the stuff if it gets widely adopted. | ![]() amt
25/8/2018 06:55 | Chopsy Well you never know do you . This certainly has the potential the government are behind British graphene developments and we have government people seconded to Vrs . I certainly think £4-5 Is very possible short term . But we just don't know what's coming . Long term the potential is beyond my understanding with new developments coming all the time . Gla Ff Graphene is doing things that were not possible a few years ago , so anything is possible . | forestfred
25/8/2018 01:16 | Haz, same here, some people just don’t get it do they, that the whole world is about to flip because of some black dust? You have to be a blessed ViSionaRy to appreciate the potential. Edit: damn that doesn’t work. VapoRouS would! Bedtime. | hoverflyman
24/8/2018 23:57 | Keep thinking about the statements ‘market is 6 months behind’ and ‘good for the whole country’ it’s a strange position to be in, having a small foot in something as massive as this and 99.99999% of ppl blissfully unaware what’s going on, I’ve mentioned in passing to a few close family and friends and they really havnt a clue, prob think I’m waffling and mad, maybe I am and this is too good to be true? Regardless I’m keeping the faith with my feet firmly on the ground | ![]() haz101

24/8/2018 21:30 | When neill raced off to spain pre results day, i seem to remember posting this link to a spanish construction firm he might have been visiting, as part of the general speculation lol ! But of course, 2 sector deals this week might have made such a visit then more likely ? Or not, as the case may be. Aimo. Enjoy your bank hol weekend. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
24/8/2018 21:10 | Spike - i don't, simply echoing the positive sentiment :) enjoy the weekend | ![]() sonsonnyjim
24/8/2018 21:00 | er... leave him alone Spike, on the verge of bullying. Pick on me if you like it is me who is saying it. and 'best wishes Spike' doesn't make it right or smart. If people want to dream let them, that is what keeps us going sometimes. RNS Tuesday is a bit of a wind up with lovat sonny, it may happen with the collaboration updates due, there is a hat in it if it does! | ![]() luckyorange |
