16/8/2018 07:46 | Positive update from £VLG this morning. Which I sold yesterday to buy more £VRS at 3.5% higher than it closed yesterday. FFS Arden, do the work you're paid for and find a buyer for Mr 120p. I remember what happened to £SEE, stick at 2p for months with an overhang then when the broker actually did some brokering and swapsied it... whoosh, gangbusters banana rockets. Thanks for the good luck messages yesterday guys, I thought both interviews went well but this morning realised that in the first one, I never actually came back to the spelling questions I left to come back to in the test... :-( | ![]() runthejoules

15/8/2018 23:34 | lovat - yes I made a tidy sum with Durlacher without even knowing much about it. I didn't need to as the word "internet" was associated with it so it was bound to go up like all the other make believe companies of that time. It was great while it lasted. I think Graphene will get that dotcom hype but it'll be vrs that will be top of the pile as it's the real thing. | ![]() zagrosfold
15/8/2018 23:20 | Nothing much really added in print but it is spreading the word on our second DIT secondee... [...] | ![]() bootie64
15/8/2018 23:16 | Zagro - VRS is much higher quality than Durlacher but will take longer to reach the fringes of the FTSE100:) The dotcom boom had many examples of overvalued rubbish but Durlacher took the prize for hype over substance. There is a true story of a Durlacher employee who divorced and borrowed money to pay out his wife with a loan secured against his substantial Durlacher shareholding. When the emperor’s clothes dotcom bust moment arrived all the toys and the large house went and he was living above a chip shop. The moral of the story is I’d rather be a VRS tortoise progressing steadily (with nanene enhanced batteries!)than a Durlacher hare!! | lovat scout

15/8/2018 22:01 | from luckyorange's post: "if it comes to the point that I need money then I will have to cash some in" I posted back in January that I would start drip selling in the next financial year (2018-9) to supplement my pension. In the event I have managed to buy more and now have 58,607 more shares than I had at that time. I needed to raise some cash today and after that (to me) totally amazing RNS today I sold shares in another investment to raise that cash. There will come a time soon when I need to sell some shares but the longer I can put it off the better. I really feel blessed that I've been lucky enough to be invested here. My kids and grandkids will really benefit. Thanks for the zillionth time to superg1. | ![]() sandbag
