Who are the herd and what will be the trigger. Anyone reading this is not the herd, the herd are the thousands of investors who dabble in shares who will see a tip and just buy without doing much research. Funds also represent hundreds of thousands of investors who, some of whom wont even know that they even own shares via their pension funds. One day something will trigger the dabblers maybe a good newspaper write up or a mention of a massive deal. Picture the scene BBC News Dong UK company signs deal with Chinese province to produce 1000s of tonnes of the new wonder material Graphene. One day when there is a bit more meat on the bones to run a spreadsheet, which I am sure a lot of us on here have done, some tipster/analysts will produce projections and will see that they are enormous profits to be made. That moment maybe nearer than many think. The herd are the ones that got into ASOS after it had gone up 20 plus times or Fevertree, amazon etc etc.

Hi luckyorange - how could offence be taken and thank you. I earn just above the living wage and VRS has been life changing so far for my family. So yes I hope the positive journey continues and that the 'goodbyes' will be sooner than later - unless I keep 10% of course :)

Tongue in cheek anotherdrink, not intended to offend but I would be very happy to say goodbye to you soon and a happy journey and life.

Seem to have been here for a long time and some were talking of cashing out at £1. Some have come and gone but some have had another think about their previous target price as the company has grown and developed.

I didn't give myself a target, if it comes to the point that I need money then I will have to cash some in, I suppose my one aim when the time comes is to leave 10% in and let it run.

One thing that has amazed me is the amount of money that people have to put in to shares, must admit that at times it would make me twitchy.

A lot have done very well out of VRS already and I do hope the ones who can't afford those big buys do well too.

I know NR insists that he spends a negligible amount of time on tweets ... but ... totting up the fastest time he could have typed his answers today, it does add up to enough time to have done a 10 minute podcast - which he says he didn't have time for. So I am with those who think the absence of a podcast is more likely because there's further news coming within days which will justify a combined podcast.

Such a frustrating day, having read the news this morning I have barely had access to the internet til now.

Just speed read all the posts and won't repeat the many things said that I absolutely agree with, but one thing that struck me that I don't think has been mentioned is ... Wow! The government are kind of sticking their neck out here...appointing the first TWO secondees to the same small company???...could risk being open to accusations of favouritism... They must be really sure that this isn't going to be a small company for long...they would look very silly if things didn't start to materialise in a big way.

Gobsmacking show of confidence in our product and ability to commercialise it worldwide.

Wonder if in 3 months time we'll be getting an RNS saying ...

Appointment of further DIT secondee

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce that Joe Bloggs, Head of Policy and Governance for Outward Direct Investment at the UK Government's Department for International Trade ("DIT") has joined Versarien on a secondment for a minimum of 12 months. During this period he will work exclusively for Versarien and will be primarily responsible for overseeing the Company's planned INDIAN implementation in the role of Deputy Head of International Strategy and Government Relations.

It's like Groundhog Day over on NR's Twitter.

What would it take for B'Stard, Dim Tim and Easily Bent to admit they know there is a difference between Graphene and Graphite?

Stick it on a blackboard in 2ft letters, lock them in a classroom 24/7, and no food or water until they break down and confess?

Hi luckyorange - re:£4, 'A bit short termism isn't it' - firstly, I'm just glad that with your knowledge of VRS / graphene lucky you infer that the £4 share price is attainable short term. Everyone should be happy with their exit target and not look back once implemented with regret. I will be happy for those that stay and the share price pushes on to greater heights. Life and health is fragile and I'd like to see my family enjoy it. it will have been a good journey from circa 13 - 15p.

Sonson, keep it open ended and evaluate your performance on weekly/monthly/yearly basis. Where they diverge, run away.

Hi 20pc - Nothing short of astonishing - '10 months ago the price was 13.25p that's almost a bag a month' - it won't happen, but same again please.....What will be the trigger for the herd and the anticipated upward re-rating?

Anotherdrink, how many shares do you have? So we know who is selling when we reach there.

Re sonson, it is hard to understand his posts. Always gives a mix feeling or perhaps doesn't know what to say about or expect from this share.
