I might email them about that golf event - love a game of golf, but not sure if I can make it yet.

Would need to know timings, etc.

axotyl: I've already told VRS Nigel Laughton, that I'm happy to come along and dig up their greens and fairways, but am more than happy just to walk the course (and chat to Neill - which is his plan).

Nigel has offered me a reduced rate as I won't be playing, but obviously I declined - after all it is a charity event.

If you know how to caddy, then I'm sure you would be welcome, and if all else fails simply walk the course (or not if it's tipping down - I presume they have a bar or two ;0)

Cheers - spike

INTERVIEW: Versarien Plc From 1 to 24 deals within weeks
Versarien Plc (LON:VRS) CEO Neill Ricketts chats with DirectorsTalk about its unaudited results for the year ended 31 March 2018 in which it saw group revenues increased by 52%. Neill talks us through the highlights, provides some background on agreements that are key to its commercialisation strategy and explains how global expansion is becoming increasingly important.

ps. Sorry it might have been shared earlier, as I have not read last 125 posts.

axol: re analysts meeting: yes Hattie asked Neill what was said (I'm paraphrasing) and he simply responded that they have been told nothing that is not already available to pi's.

However, as we well know, things are said at investor days, that are 'helpful' without being 'newsworthy'.

We will get our chance - if not at the AGM - at the Charity Golf day in early SEPT.

I note Neill appears to have tweeted this morning that there will be a podcast on Monday (well it is a Monday ;0) I presume that will be about today's news - could it include something else - you never know with VRS - the ride of our lives ! ;0)

Neill:

Podcast Monday @SharePickers or @DDS_DocHoliday ? Been a bit going on.

Spike, I agree on every point except one.VRS does have quite a lot of profit takers amongst its shareholder base.Over the last few days quite a few have come out and said they had topsliced.Nothing wrong with that, I hastily add.

#vrs sales up 52%, losses down 33% despite increased spending, 24 interested parties in China not just 1 , but this is looking backward mostly :)- I like the bit 'looking backward mostly' - whats next out of the hat? At this moment its all a bit surreal with regards VRS.

Yes bootie it's that makes me want to buy another house in monchestoh with some urgency! Anyone got a job for an experienced pa / ea who absolutely doesn't waste his employers' time on vrs bulletin boards?

Fest - whilst I share your frustration, as we know, it is important that we have sellers so that price rises can be more or less sustained.

The artificial drop yesterday is an example of what can happen when there is a significant imbalance between buyers and sellers, and in yesterday's case there has been too much recent buying and not enough selling to balance.

For the benefit of 'newbies' market makers (MM's) don't hold huge quantities of stock (it costs them money), so if there is a lot of buying, they have the problem of either bailing out (not being near the bid or offer) or they sell shares they haven't got (shorting) in the hope of picking them up by - at some point - raising the price significantly to find profit takers (doesn't happen much with VRS), or drop the price significantly to frighten pep's into selling to retain their profit.

Best wishes - spike

University of Manchester Job Opportunity

Application Manager (2 Posts Available)
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced engineer to join the GEIC and lead a team engaging in knowledge exchange with companies at the leading edge of graphene applications.

You will be involved in managing a portfolio of short and long term collaborative projects in partnership with a diverse range of industrial partners, with particular focus on SME’s, looking to investigate the use of graphene and its derivatives in a range of applications.

Are we any nearer to knowing who it is that sells into these rises? (apart from Adejuk)? It always puts a lid on what could otherwise be a breakout.

Redchef: I've been doing exactly the same thing. I had 13 holdings when I first invested in VRS, I am now down to 8 and all of the sales have gone straight into VRS. Diversification while necessary to some extent, can be counterproductive at times and I've decided I would rather put more of my eggs in one, well researched, beautifully hand painted, Nanene enhanced basked over lots of less well researched punts. It also means I can keep track of things a lot easier, it's quite hard following 13 companies, researching potential investments and holding down a full time job. I've decided to pass the buck to Neill and let him do the hard work for me :)

No more ranting by me on the IOS issue.

Very solid news on this topic and it was Martin Kemp in Berlin in April who gave a presentation on behlf of VRS on the scaling up and IOS.

Just consolidated my more speculative holdings into VRS. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to have several birds in a number of bushes when the one in your hand has "golden egg" written all over it
