wouldn't waste your time with MJ10 - he thinks ITM looks like a good investment.

When I first bought VRS last year at 19.5p ITM was fluctuating between 30 and 35. Here we are 9 months later, VRS has gone as high as 140p, and ITM is... still fluctuating between 30 and 35, with no prospect it's going any higher anytime soon...

MJ10 are you saying that we have no justification to ramp VRS
do you not know we have Matt walker from DTI or that we are talking to china
and fortune 500 companies as well as the biggest tyre company in Europe , as well as
Neill Ricketts who has just admitted he really cannot fathom just how big versarien could get . oh and i nearly forgot India . Mate not ramping just telling you what we have in our war chest .

I think of them when they lie for gain as no better than the scum that prey on the vulnerabilities of infirm old folk.

There should imo be a seasonal culling.

Post of the day there Grabster great point.

Use filter then there is no one to talk to.

On SBs I was of the opinion that once you are on a margin call it gets closed out if you don't top up the account (IG).

Fully paid for is the best way by far imo.

Shorting gamblers will gear and of course the moves they face can be greater than a complete wipe out.

EG 10p can only go 10 points to zero and goodnight. North it can go multiples of 10p and oh dear, never mind, what a shame.😂

I think Bungle has a list of non-specific bear phrases that get rotated - nothing more than that. Rainbow throws up a few interesting entries in the urban dictionary which may explain his choice of name!

Yes Rainbow, it might go down, it could go up, it may even stay the same. What incredible foresight you have.

I see posters sometimes asking why on Earth does NR bother engaging with Tim Kempster and his ilk; asking doesn't he have better things to do? Yet a bigger number of posters engaging with Rainbow rather than filtering. :-O

superg1 - I was referring to bets not being rolled (not every holder of open quarterlies will be in a position to roll if badly underwater, and will be forced to opt for expiry) (been there, done that! Although it's a few years since I was predominantly a spreadbetter. I used to sometimes tick the auto-roll box, but often rolled stocks individually for greater control and flexibility, allowing me to roll some and expire others).

PS: I too am wiring today; extending circuits from one workshed to adjacent ones.

Tick box available for automatic roll which has no impact on the market. Rollovers appear within seconds of each other. Identical trades with a slight difference in the price which is effectively the cost of the trade.

Lucky was on about a fund selling perhaps to hit a target and bonus for Q2 or H1 etc.

Now, back to wiring

superg1 - some posters have referred to funds addressing their quarterly performance by closing positions at the end of a calendar quarter (ie, this week).

But doesn't the same apply with quarterly spreadbets? If not rolled over, those will expire. Longs and shorts. (Do they still operate quarters that end on the Wednesday after the third Tuesday of each third month? (ie, 20 June this time), or do they expire tomorrow?

Someone here mentioned that NR had spoken a week or so ago with Ray Gibbs (of Haydale). Ray appears among the listed speakers at the current 'Graphene 2018' conference in Dresden. NR (as far as I can see) isn't.

Haydale is an erstwhile (or current?) purchaser of material from Versarien (I presume sample sizes). Indeed NR a month or two ago responding to critical comments about Haydale described them as 'a customer and partner, not a competitor' (or summat close to that wording I think).

Is it possible that NR was discussing Ray's proposed presence at Dresden, with a view to it aiding both companies? Haydale we know doesn't make graphene - but works with it.

Taking it one step further (and probably too far, so by all means dismiss this bit!) - is there any likelihood of Ray leaving Haydale and moving across to Versarien in some useful role? A week or so ago Haydale announced that he was resigning as their ceo. Others have suggested that Haydale won't survive - some have argued it will but only with a change of emphasis. Might such a change of emphasis involve spinning off some small part of it that Versarien might absorb?

Just thinking aloud ;-)
(and prepared for some flak from those who would loathe any closer connection with Haydale!)

Buys v sells on the screen have been pretty much matched in recent times but we had drops due to the supply/late reports.

Not a lot different today on the buys/sells but the share price has jumped, so my guess is the seller has taken a break or is done.

Obvious with the jump there will be some trading going on and sells by those that bought under 110p.

Could also be that the buyer is back picking up loose stock.

IOF flipping ????.

Volumes have been dead there for some time. Volumes have been dead there for some time. A grand total of 84 shares today. Those that are there will do fine as time goes on imo.

I think the flipping has been TERN and various others in recent months. As I posted the other day I counted 10 previous posters on here pumping another share and haven't seen them back on here.

When China news come it will soon be obvious who flipped and came back. More often than not flipping results in loses not gains. We have a huge example on this share re one that sold a load at 15p ish and then flipped them to lose 50% on the flip. So a lot missed here then the cash moved halved.

So yes flipping does go on and as time passes you pick up the names of additions to the herd.

a lot on here justify their optimism which is fine.others talk of 20,30,50 quid in a few years.that could possibly happen but I would prefer to get to a fiver first as we don't know for instance what competition will be around in 12 months and no one could be certain.rest assured if those sort of figures were nailed on it would be much higher now
