27/6/2018 20:34 | super, re taking cash out, you're right. My hubbie's main stash is with STJ and we had a meeting this week to discuss his portfolio... couldn't believe the amount in cash... never seen that before... Big investment money out there when things calm down... I made sure our FSA was well informed about VRS... in fact I am almost certain he will be taking a stake himself. | woodpeckers
27/6/2018 20:34 | Edit, sorry, repeat post. | woodpeckers
27/6/2018 20:28 | Bear market. All I keep reading recently is that the amount of cash being sat on is at record levels. So plenty took cash out of the market a long time ago. It's not a case of the market stuffed full of geared positions. The fear factor has been in play for years. They have said the same month in month out for years so if ever it does happen they can say see, see, see I told you so. That's what the market does it goes up over a period of time and it goes down, then up, then down, then up ....... They also said oil will NEVER go above $50 again and that gold would go through $3000 per oz. I never see news saying BTW the oil and gold forecasts were way off the mark, sorry about that. | superg1
27/6/2018 20:19 | Lovat Thanks for the explanations on what I call off market and back door trading. I spot it in action due to changes in MM behaviour and I have mentioned flatline share price periods many times now. They usually happen when an MM has picked up back door stock and then controls the market for the relevant share for the period the stock they have sits on their books. | superg1
27/6/2018 19:46 | Messi....carrying Argentina, Ronaldo.... carrying Portugal, Lufthansa carrying Germany. Byee! | 66sequoia
27/6/2018 19:43 | Good article in the mail on graphene lots going on with graphene in many sectors . Ff | forestfred
27/6/2018 19:12 | WUZY - there are many investment websites who do exactly what you are seeing; until otherwise notified, they assume a repeat of whatever date the results came out last year (July 3rd for VRS). Rules do not allow directors and other insiders to sell or buy shares in their company less than 30 days before results are published. The VRS ceo sold shares on 11 June. So results cannot be coming out before 11 July. The company website calendar has long shown 'e-July' (= estimated July) which if true, tells us the results could come anywhere between 11-31st. But The ceo gave us a firmer clue than that, when he reportedly said he sold on the last date that he was allowed to - which if meant literally, suggests 11 July rather than later. But if something behind the scenes dictates that publication should be delayed beyond July, it can be. (Maximum 30 September I think). | grabster
27/6/2018 19:11 | Wuzy, Neills last trade was on 12th June. Results cannot be less than 30days after that, hence 12th July. | battery
27/6/2018 19:07 | P.s why cannot it be 3rd ? | wuzy
27/6/2018 18:58 | Grabster on iii, Hl, and here all say 3rd July but when do you reckon!!!Cheers the Wuzy | wuzy
27/6/2018 18:25 | I am sitting in the sunshine at edgebaston waiting for cricket to start. Beer in hand and very relaxed . Feeling very proud to be British. Got a feeling Neill is going to make me even prouder. Big cheer just went up as Germany knocked out of World Cup. Lol | graphite bot
27/6/2018 17:53 | WUZY - July 3 is incorrect. Cannot be before 11 July. | grabster |
