superg1 well maybe but I recall IMG where a lot of time was spent by CEO telling investors how great the Company was. Same with SRT. The question is shouldn't these guys be too busy running the company rather than wasting time telling the world their every move. I am still invested but if share price falls below 40p I would be out of this and running around like a headless chicken in blind panic.

"Hence I stay clear of oil and mining shares which they love"

I've heard about this great company exploring for diamonds in Africa... ;-)

Wrong - you've had lots of updates about Jinan from Neil's twitter responses to the investor day on goal, approach, priority and who's working on it. You won't get anything material until a deal is signed or not. Those with more realistic expectations are not concerned.

Its the wobbly general market, not twitter. (I find it an excellent source of free research). This explains the 10% redemptions at miton. Plus it has a bad case of BO. SB gearings causing extra volatility in downturns. General market uncertainty hits aim harder in my experience as the appetite for risk reduces. Imm collapse will not have helped sentiment short term either. But as superg said that was a binary bet that went wrong. In vrs we have derisked tech, multiple opportunities. I remain patiently awaiting good news re china. Dyor. Best ellis.

Why is it long overdue? Neill has already explained that he’s after the best deal he can get for shareholders, it can’t be rushed it has to be 100% the right deal. If the Jinan deal want Vrs IP they are certainly going to have to pay handsomely.

We used to process thousands of tonnes of Chinese flake graphite. It got airborne, up your sleeves and trouser legs etc. Your biggest joy at the end of the day was blowing your nose but it never did anyone any harm

I reckon if there hadn't been all this twittering the share price would be much higher. Investors get suspicious of too much information and think it is hype. Its too late to rub out the twiterings but would have been better just to let the RNS flow to do its work. Now the RNS seem to result in a sell off.
My advice would be to be to twitterdown if not become twitterless.

Toxicity

It's carbon, same stuff as in your pencils that we used to chew then breath in when doing all the shading as kids.

The toxicity word comes from Carbon nano tubes. They are spun into very tiny needles of graphene and the worry is if breath it the needles would embed themselves in the lungs. I assume that worry comes from the same issue as asbestos which has the same needle/hook like issue.

GNPs are just platelets and we have be around them for a long time but we just didn't know it.

When you use a pencil you create graphene platelets.

in a previous incarnation i ran a health service that negotiated contracts with local authorities. they were piddling and still took up to 3/4 months to settle. i comfort myself with that when i feel impatient with the china deal.

See neills latest tweet is a link to graphene conductive inks article on institute of materials website. What caught my eye was the solar application. If you look on wikipedia at 'transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers' and then click on 'van der waalsheterostrue' you are through on 2d semiconductors page. The van der thingy is comprised of graphene, boron nitride and molybdenum disulfide. Meant to very good for solar voltaic cells. Maybe some excellent test results were had recently ;) and then you ask who for ? Who knows ! But then you tie two and two together and then realise this forms part of an overall strategy to kill 2 birds with one stone ! In any event, the likely future diection of this tech is advanced solar panels. I see ev's in the future powered by the skin of their bodypanels, where highly efficient solar cells are printed into it. Effectively charging the car. No need for giant lithium batteries then. I'm no scientist. ;) To be read purely as a speculative piece. No advice intended. Dyor. Glalth. Best ellis.

Toxicity in gnp's NR has answered on several occasions , I think, that it is non toxic. If it's inhaled it would cause problems I'm sure but common sense should prevail when using graphite in the production process.

Graphene Oxide is another matter though, the process for producing it is toxic and explosive.... don't like it.

I listened to total market solutions presentations in 17 and 18 today by NR compliments of hew.
I was totally blown away by the different companies they have snd the connections.
NR is very likeable and well versed in his trade.
The only wee worry I have is the toxicity of pure Graphene (I know it’s not when incorporated in other materials )but could this be a problem for the end user?

Festario re your 9982.
Maybe both were worked buys from an order placed before?
Perhaps that would explain the price drop yesterday so those nice MM's could hoover up cheap shares to complete the order(s)today?
You say it was a great price if they are buys, it's also a great price if they were sells - especially for those quantities!
