Sands, had the same effect from time to time this week when viewing on my phone. Reloading page cures it. Must be a glitch their end. Atb. Ellis

I like it when NR goes quiet on twitter - means he's busy! Or maybe even outside of WiFi zone.... like overseas!

Does anyone know why a few of the recent posts don't fit on my screen and I have to use the bottom (left to right) slider to read them. Is it caused by the poster, ADVFN or my laptop?

Festario, if your comment was aimed at my post, you are absolutely wrong - and I think it says more about your state of mind than mine!

I hold more VRS now than ever after recent buys. My post in fact offers reasons as to why the deal is taking time - I am sympathetic about the possible complexities!

Perhaps you were joking ..... hope so.

hew - an interesting perspective. I am sure there are some problems to be resolved before this deal can go ahead, I would be worried if that wasn’t the case. However we have to remember that no deal is better than a bad deal and ultimately that could leave Versarien in a stronger position.

skyliteandy, A rose wine called pink elephant was produced with curries in mind, and I've enjoyed many a bottle over the years. However, not seen it on the shelves recently.

Historically, Indian restaurants used to serve Mateus rose, and it got a bit of a bad reputation on the back of that, but it's not a bad accompaniment.

Generally, I think rose is deemed appropriate. White wines considered too delicate for the strong flavours of a curry, and red a bit robust and heavy.

Tbf, I'd say drink what you like. As I said earlier, we used to go out of our way to get pink elephant, but didn't find it available.

We drink more than we should and our current favourite tipple is a Marlborough Sauvignon, so it goes with whatever. Enjoy, hic!

Skyliteandy - when next in our beautiful Cape Town,
head over to the HelsHoogte Pass near Stellenbosch (I used to cycle it a often, & one of my friends had a heart attack & died at the top - its that tough),
& visit the tiny Camberley wine farm - my wife rates it above all others.

Very informal & small, & if the owner John is there you will leave legless with a car full of wine.

Various speculations from an idle moment. Rooted in what I felt were very positive but strangely relaxed attitudes from both Neill and Chris (CFO) at the Investors 2pm Meeting re the China situation. My comments are perhaps ill-judged, almost certainly incomplete, and make no pretentions as to accuracy or insight. But perhaps "the deal" does have its difficulties. I put some questions - not answers!

I'm looking at the big picture, not details like corporate structures, JVs etc. What are the uncertainties that might be impacting settling a deal. Considering hard realities, not warm words. (Here I have read that China plays nice initially then gets tough near signing.)

What is a "good" deal anyway? For millions now, or billions longer term? For initial limited applications or “graphene in everything” potentially? What is "the price for the IP" that China is assessing actually for - on what scale and basis? Regarding IP, Neill expresses confidence for the Jinan project, but how to manage it longer term and on a wider scale? And is long term realistic? What range of applications are the Chinese considering? - only they know.

Is the VRS technique just too big a thing to control? If someone had found negative gravity, or “free” unlimited energy, or some marvellous widely applicable medical cure - global demand immediately, so how "sell" that? How to value it? How release details on a small scale when a whole zone/country/population will want it, now and long term? If Jinan is a success we know other parts of China are enquiring now. We know “the CFO was blown away by the opportunity.”

The situation would be much easier if there were competitors, or the project could start in a small controlled way and develop gradually. But if VRS’s secret is ready to go for all, what then?

Government involvements? (IMO, Neill implied that the Chinese deal is “out of our hands” at Investors Day.) Are government involvements between UK and China only, or are there pressures from elsewhere - potential candidates are obvious.

Under-constrained problems can be difficult to solve!

Been to the gym etc, well that's one way to avoid the visiting in-laws. On my return I find myself puzzled by today's trades. It had no pattern. The sells seemed to get cheaper, as did the buys.... then a couple chucked in at full ask.Yet the quoted mid price never budged. There might yet be a late reported trade to explain it.Have a good weekend, one and all.

Graphene Inks open source document, which some may find interesting (at least I did):Microfluidization of Graphite and Formulationof Graphene-Based Conductive InksABSTRACT: We report the exfoliation of graphite inaqueous solutions under high shear rate [? 108 s?1]turbulent flow conditions, with a 100% exfoliation yield. The material is stabilized without centrifugation atconcentrations up to 100 g/L using carboxymethylcellulosesodium salt to formulate conductive printable inks. Woody, couldn't agree more. Neill has always been positive about the deal just needing time to get the deal right for all concerned.I would love to see an announcement Monday that it is signed etc but will patiently wait for news and not fret about things if we do not hear soon, it is in good hands I'm sure. Hope everyone manages to get out and enjoy the warm weather and sunshine while it lasts. Local forecast is rain most of the weekend for me!

Woody - absolutely right: but even so we still can't be absolutely sure it will happen until it happens. Not least VRS need to see how the Chinese value their IP...

I know you have now filtered me Fest but I shouldn’t beat yourself up about IMM, life is stuffed full of what ifs. When you muck about with pharma and things of the same ilk as oil etc you can get badly burned, might have fallen to 10p. It’s only a short term trade you missed, not like a jump from sub 15p to over £1...

I once flew home from NYC and never knew in the seat in front was a well known film actress that I was rather partial to, only realised when we disembarked. I know the toilets are cramped on a BA 747 but there is a what if 😉😂

Wishing you all (inc Club and Fest) a great sunny weekend

For twitter fans, i think we can welcome NR post 1800 hours BST.

If NR doesn't tweet during before CoB, at least those keeping an eye think he is busy (even pretend busy).

That way win-win for both groups.

One reason is because NR (if i am not wrong) said twitter account is his personal.
