There will be another bus along, you just need to find it. good hunting. red Perversely, Clln shooting up, just when I want a weak share price for the competition. Boohoo - that is me crying. Sunny in Dudley today, but bitterly cold. Hey ho... red | redartbmud

Boo on the move: boohoo.com plc ("boohoo" or "the Group"), the leading online fashion retailer, announces that it has entered into an asset purchase agreement1 ("the proposed transaction") to acquire certain intellectual property assets from retailer Nasty Gal Inc. ("Nasty Gal" or "the Company") for US$20 million2. Nasty Gal filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Code protection in the US Bankruptcy Court on 9 November 2016. Subject to US court approval, to be sought on 5 January 2017, boohoo's subsidiary, Boohoo F I Limited, will be appointed as the "stalking horse" bidder for the Nasty Gal brand and customer databases, in accordance with Section 363 of the United States Bankruptcy Code3. The Group will provide a further update on the proposed transaction on or after this date. red | redartbmud
26/12/2016 13:13 | Hope you're all having a great Christmas. Modform can I ask how you get your initial US stock ideas, is it via scans/filtering? No problem if you don't want to reveal. Thanks | homebrewruss
23/12/2016 18:00 | Merry Christmas all. Thanks to all the more experienced investors who post here (APAD, mod, red, etc), I may not post much, but still learning and appreciate feedback and being able to pick people's brains (the only way of learning is by doing).DD | discodave4

23/12/2016 12:26 | Best wishes to all. It has been a very interesting year, with 2017 promising many a twist and turn on the markets. Let's hope that we climb the ladders and avoid the snakes. Red | redartbmud

23/12/2016 11:43 | Bit late to the party but in line with the principle of shares I've added to or bought recently, as opposed to largest holdings. BVXP EAH G4M SQZ PVG Thanks APAD | hydrus
23/12/2016 11:21 | My best wishes to everyone too. It is a pleasure to share ideas on a thread with thoughtful people. It helps me enormously to write down ideas and principles - makes them more concrete somehow. To have a group of people prepared to comment openly and share their own ideas confers a huge benefit. apad ps Thanks dacian. pps The US has been on an amazing (unique?) wave since 2009, mod. Well done. Slide off the back of the wave when the mood changes :-) | apad
23/12/2016 09:00 | May I will wish you all a happy xmas and all the very best for 2017.I have only a few UK stocks and heavily invested in the USA. I wish I had done that many years ago, the performance of my Pf has been incredible since I have concentrated my research to USA stocks. I love the USA stocks because there are no liquidity issues and elephants do gallop there. AMD has almost doubled in 6 weeks and it's a $10B company.I have really struggled trying to bank profits in UK small caps ending up drip feeding in a few k worth of shares at a time, but there are a lot of good small caps out there and many have been mentioned here.So good luck whatever your trading strategy is and I hope 2017 will be a profitable year for you all. | modform
23/12/2016 08:40 | Bond proxies back in fashion. Don't get it. red | redartbmud
23/12/2016 08:07 | Just sold Clln @ £2.371 It is getting too easy. red | redartbmud
23/12/2016 07:54 | I am going to stick with my choice from my existing portfolio. It is understandable that some might get the jitters, given their high risk selections, but I trust my judgement at this point. Happy with APAD's suggestion. red | redartbmud
23/12/2016 01:42 | So, how about prices at close on the 30th and entries can be changed or logged anytime over the weekend? Given that we are choosing from our own holdings, or watchlists, as a measure of our judgement, rather than trying to win a competition with a selection of dogs, it allows some reflection over a gin and FEVR? Hmm... The bold changes things a bit. I may have to edit one or two of my selections based on that info and especially the underlined! NANO issued a release yesterday saying the CEO sold a few shares at these lower levels. I can see APAD's logic when being afraid of touching anything nano or graphene related! | lauders
