13/12/2016 21:21 | Hell of an incentive. FT: Demand for oil will outstrip supply in the next six months as long as Opec and countries outside the cartel can implement a deal signed at the weekend to lower output, according to one of the world’s leading energy forecasters. The International Energy Agency said the planned production cuts, which add up to 1.8m barrels a day, could reduce stockpiles by as much as 600,000 b/d in the first half of 2017 if all of the signatories deliver their pledges. “Success means the reinforcement of prices and revenue stability for producers after two difficult years; failure risks starting a fourth year of stock builds and a possible return to lower prices,” the Paris-based global energy advisory body said in a report on Tuesday. apad | apad
13/12/2016 20:49 | Does seem a bit 'direct' Dave. Pete, TSTL. ROCE 30% and Price to free cash flow of 5.18%. Plus US potential. apad | apad
13/12/2016 20:40 | APADemail from IGG today:"I'm contacting you to let you know about a recent proposal from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which would, among other things, increase the margin required (ie reduce the leverage) for CFDs and spread betting. If the proposal goes through you'll need to put more money on your account to trade with us, in some cases up to ten times more".Then a request to feedback views on the FCA proposals by filling in a FCA questionnaire. Trouble is, I only read the first para (above) and my initial thought was - if that happens I will just close the account and go elsewhere where the FCA regs don't apply, namely plus500.Don't think it's a particularly wise move by the CEO, can see the reasoning behind it but it could also backfire big time IMO.DD | discodave4
13/12/2016 20:29 | ps Interesting dip on BOO this morning. All over the place until 12 Jan update I reckon. 58 vacancies (up from 51) is the only new data I can see, the rest is frenetic speculation fuelled by shorters. I guess the valuation attracts suchlike interest and if the company puts a foot wrong it'll be punished severely. Free cash flow yield of 0.34% is dire. Story hasn't changed is my mantra. | apad
13/12/2016 20:12 | Thanks, madmix. Excellent, data supported, argument. It is essentially my view, but my what a tour de force. I have been talking with them about a conventional account and they are impressive. Interesting mix, pete. TSTL a bit wobbly after agm statement but nothing to worry about in my view. Perhaps you could post performance every so often? apad | apad
13/12/2016 19:42 | If anyone is interested in such small beans, Mrs P finally bt RGL for its monster yield. That means her £5k 2016/17 list is esp, jim, rgl, tstl, wjg, although we do reserve the right to sell and replace if anything becomes too disappointing. The benchmark is the standard bank savings scheme where the best anyone could currently find would be in the region of 2.5%, probably less. Assuming the 2.5% as a standard, the targets are minimum total value (capital plus dividends) £5125 on 13 December 2017, £5253 2018, £5384 2019. We obviously wish to beat this. Talk about pressure. Time will tell. pete | petersinthemarket

13/12/2016 13:28 | Bought a few more IG at 450p - bored, I reckon. Looking to have a triumvirate of yielders: IG/RDSB/GSK. It is really teaching me not to consider this type of share at historic average prices. apad | apad
13/12/2016 13:03 | ps Still interested in increasing IGG. | apad

13/12/2016 11:48 | Paysafe now down 25%. It's a while since we've seen a short-seller ambush like this be so successful, and in a FTSE 250 company as well. | apad
13/12/2016 08:35 | Wonder whether the BVXP event today will move the price one way or the other: On Tuesday 13th December, CEO Peter Harrison from Bioventix, will be presenting the next ShareSoc Supper in Brighton. Taken from the BVXP BB a few weeks ago. | lauders
13/12/2016 00:44 | An awesome video for value investing https://www.youtube. | stockdoo
13/12/2016 00:37 | Hope Mrs. P. does well with her choices Peter. TSTL seems OK. Done rather well since the post BREXIT dip to 90 odd pence when APAD timed his buy brilliantly! If you believe house building or construction services are going to continue then perhaps a house-builder? Health is ALWAYS important and with the number of senior citizens increasing GSK also worth a look at these levels? | lauders
12/12/2016 22:00 | Rather a high loan to value ratio. | red army |
