You may be right. When the RNS reported 'UK consumer credit card business' I just assumed that your little rock had been invaded by the financial aliens. It would not have been out of whack, when you factor in the potential tax benefits.

Lloyds Banking Group ('the Group') today announces that it has agreed to acquire MBNA Ltd (MBNA), a UK consumer credit card business, from FIA Jersey Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of America.

Thought that you would have known that they were on your doorstep.
I strongly advise that you review your security provisions.

You couldn't write the script. Lloyds has now bought £240m of PPI claims along with MBNA from the y'oodle Mafia.

The only other UK company I have is Rotork but I won't nominate it for competition after 50% rise.

I am finding it hard to find fair valued UK quality companies with sticky business..

Apad - I like your idea of a new year competition, but personally I don't usually hold on to anything for as long as a whole year, so just for fun and in the spirit of joining in, if it's ok with you, I'd like to put Mrs P's new long term ultra-safety pf in.
