Deutsch3: a statement from the new CEO is overdue to address your questions. He has been at the helm since more than 2 months and has not yet found time to communicate with the shareholders.

If one is having to ask those sorts of fundamental questions then one shouldn't own this stock.

As I keep saying, this isn't a business, it's an idea and a company full of project managers consuming wages but selling nothing.

They need a new project, but it'll be funded on other peoples money.

Meantime, guess who's paying the wages via continual dilution.

Wage trough will need topping up again soonish.

Has the USA branch shut up shop? - Is Wax production stopped? - Is there any income? - I am sure there is expenditure! - Have any projects progressed?- Have any grants been granted? - What, if anything is today's (2019) focus? - It probably doesn't matter but I thought I would ask if anyone knows or has a view?

If gac141 was in charge of Marketing,or better still Production, at HQ we would all benefit. At least gac communicates which is a vital element in any business which depends on shareholder investment to progress. £40k worth of board investment in a company whose share price is underwater is hardly communication. - In the absence of serious reporting relating to recent setbacks, and absence of any clarity in terms of income/revenue(if any), a nominal pitch in to the pot says nothing except 'Hello'.

"Swindler" redirects here. For other uses, see Swindler (disambiguation).

Pietro Longhi: The Charlatan, 1757
A charlatan (also called a swindler or mountebank) is a person practicing quackery or some similar confidence trick or deception in order to obtain money, fame or other advantages via some form of pretense or deception. Synonyms for "charlatan" include "shyster", "quack", or "faker". "Mountebank" comes from the Italian montambanco or montimbanco based on the phrase monta in banco - literally referring to the action of a seller of dubious medicines getting up on a bench to address his audience of potential customers.[1] "Quack" is a reference to "quackery" or the practice of dubious medicine or a person who does not have actual medical training who purports to provide medical services.

Etymology
The word comes from French charlatan, a seller of medicines who might advertise his presence with music and an outdoor stage show. The best known of the Parisian charlatans was Tabarin, who set up a stage in the Place Dauphine, Paris in 1618, and whose commedia dell'arte inspired skits and farces inspired Molière. The word can also be traced to Spanish; charlatán, an indiscreetly talkative person, a chatterbox. Ultimately, etymologists trace "charlatan" from either the Italian ciarlare,[2] to chatter or prattle; or from Cerretano, a resident of Cerreto, a village in Umbria, known for its quacks.[3]

Usage

Hieronymous Bosch paints a scene of a Renaissance mountebank fleecing credulous gamblers.
In usage, a subtle difference is drawn between the charlatan and other kinds of confidence tricksters. The charlatan is usually a salesperson of a certain service or product, who does not try to create a personal relationship with his "marks" (the persons to whom the service or product is sold), or set up an elaborate hoax or con game using roleplaying. Rather, the person called a charlatan is being accused of resorting to quackery, pseudoscience, or some knowingly employed bogus means of impressing people in order to swindle his victims by selling them worthless nostrums and similar goods or services that will not deliver on the promises made for them. One example of a charlatan is a 19th-century medicine show operator, who has long since left town by the time the people who bought his "snake oil" or similarly named "cure-all" tonic realize that it does not perform as advertised. A misdirection by a charlatan is a confuddle, a dropper is a leader of a group of con men and hangmen are con men that present false checks. A gaff means to trick or con and a mugu is a victim of a rigged game

Owenski reminds memof a similar operator on the nano thread a couple of years ago who called itself slippersidewinder. Now fortunately gone to attempt to destroy shareholder values in other pastures.

I should add....

Well done to Way 2000 for seeing through all the negative posts made on this BB and the obvious and devious attempts at undermining the company. As Way2000 says why spend so much of you time posting nonsense if you have no interest or shares in the company....

It shows real deceit on her or his behalf.

I would be good to get back to a sensible BB with useful comments and investigative work about a company that has massive intellectual property in a market that is crying out for what it can produce.....

This is an interesting post on LSE....

If he/ she really does work for BA it gives some confidence to the plant in Grimsby and potentially others across the country.....

As a BA employee within its Engineering Division is most definitely committed

in reducing its c02 emission footprint and most definitely see the benefits in

reduced fuel cost. BA has committed to keep the largest Airline 747 fleet in the

world going for sometime yet. These fuel saving would make this fleet along with

its 777’s cheaper to operate by far than any other airlines in the world on this

scale...BA I believe has commitment to buy every drop of fuel it can get its hands

on under this program...If you then apply this to the 787’s as well as the rest of

the IAG fleet ...well,,, need I say more.

Let us see what new we get from the Velocys team over the next few weeks to back

this up.....

Of course the really annoying thing is - that I'm spot on with this company and it's non existent business.

You show a lack of understanding and shocking naivety if you think a CEO purchase is a basis for business success or soundness of investment.

Let’s focus on Deutsch3’s questions which go to the heart of the matter. Gac141 side stepped in his reply and saw only the positive event of the CEO ‘s purchase. Hopefully we can convince the new CEO to step up communications. The company has not sent out their quarterly newsletter since February last year.

HNY - Well I can see we have the usual suspects plugging on about utter rubbish so no change from 2018.

The last poster talks about 2p fund raise when the CEO has just bought £50k worth at 5p! It shows a clear lack of understanding and only a fake news directive from one of his bosses to trash the company on virtually a daily basis. He must be unemployed or deranged. Either way I now know why I take no notice of this thread any more. I think I'll go away for a few more months and see if anything changes. I feel pity TBH.

The important thing here is that he has bought into the company.

Something that few other directors have done over the years....

I think we may find there is a very good reason for this purchase and it will become clear in the next few weeks.....

Glad to see we have lost the dross off this BB

I like to reduce it to the essentials, as it takes up less space:

Henrik Wareborn, position: CEO
Purchase of shares
Date of transaction: 21 December 2018
Volume: 1,000,000
Price: 4.7289 pence

resulting percentage 0.24%
