Interesting to note that the RNS does not mention that Philip Holland is currently CEO of Lloyds Energy LTD. Why? Incompetence of the PR company? Didn't the Board see his resume?

In the header of this very thread is a link to access this news item, never understood why the need to cut and paste an entire article.

This is the relevant bit anyway -

"In Philip and Darran we have a wonderful combination of skills and experience that will benefit Velocys as we continue on our path to finance, develop and operate our plants in the US and UK."

Not a business here, it's still being developed and requires financing - expect further wealth destroying dilution at even lower share prices.

"This is a landmark event for Velocys' technology and its commercial reference plant."

How's that working out.

As an industry we need to explore a range of options to reduce our emissions. We’re already working with Velocys to build a plant that produces sustainable transport fuels from household waste that would otherwise go to landfill, but we don’t want to stop there. Some of the best scientific minds in this field are based in the UK and are brilliantly equipped to develop a pathway for the UK to achieve global leadership in the development of sustainable alternative aviation fuels.”

The launch event, which took place at British Airways’ HQ, was attended by 15 UK universities and also featured talks from industry experts including Robert Boyd, Head of Sustainable Fuels at IATA and Baroness Sugg, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport.

Baroness Sugg, said: “We want the UK to become a global leader in the development and supply of next generation aviation fuels, cementing our reputation as a centre of excellence for sustainable aviation.

“This competition will move us another step closer to achieving this vision, balancing growth in aviation with sustainable development that benefits our environment and society.

When Mr Pummell joined VLS it was noted that during his tenure at CEO at his previous company, Ceres, (salary £250,000 per annum) the share price crashed by over 90% in the year! It seems like he's got form and that his successful management of companies remains unaltered.

Gac - 2 or 3 times now they have got rid of the senior people and never a full explanation? - What you say makes sense but only if the new incumbents come clean and
tell the rest of us what's going on. They, nor you, can not write off massive development cost without some explanation. There aught also to be a statement of the recovery situation, particularly relating to insurance expectations and 'Who is being held responsible'! - The day's of writing everything of to experience are over, and should have been over long ago. They are getting away with 'murder'.
