Another relatively high volume day with a close at, or near, high of day. A big uncross trade and post market transfer. Long may this continue.

VEC is looking at options in China. They bought into a JV and have basically written those costs off as some kind of market study plus costs for necessary equipment. China is a bit of an enigma for most Western companies and this little foray was a 'what can we learn' experience. Who knows if it will lead to anything concrete in future?

Extracted from today's risk assessment RNS. Anyone understand what this actually means and what the implications are? RELATED-PARTY TRANSACTIONSAssociates In order to finalise the valuation process of the Group's Chinese associate, costs of £1.6m have been incurred comprising £0.6m for the cost of new equipment and a £1.0m waiver of a loan previously made to the associate. These contributions are considered arms-length related party transactions, necessary to finalise the valuation process.

That is a standard risk assessment update. I have had to do a few of those over the years. They are both tedious and necessary in long-term projects and business. I think VEC are just being prudent here. It is not price senstive to my mind, unless one of the risks happens. All the generic Advair stuff was already in the public domain and so the price impact already known.

Popper Joe-as I said, old news, but risk assessments are downbeat, perhaps we should have reward assessments as well. Without them, I rely for those on the excellent posts by polaris and others.

pob-risk assessment isn't the most inspiring of reads particularly when they say that due to the delay in generic advair they can't afford the risk of developing two products on their own and must seek partners next year. Old news, I know, so hopefully little or no impact today.

Don't know what all the panic was about. Steady growth lower risk rating and disappointment baked into the price. The chart is looking interesting all the way up to circa 105 and then 120... not saying we'll get there but relaying the pattern.

Bilster1 - start with the announcements re the litigation over last 12 months and then read the 2017FY report, watch the results presentation and listen to the webcast. There are quite a few posts on those days covering the major points. That should clear most of it up.

Can anyone update me on what is going on between GSK and Vectura regarding the Ellipta - I know how important the Ellipta is to GSKs respiratory portfolio going forward and all its new molecules will be delivered by this device.

We have already come a long way from results day! I'm just heading to the airport to return home from Munich and a big smile on the face with the share price action here since i jumped in at the low 70s. Might have to have (another) wheat beer!
