So long as £1 income and 99p expense happens. However the headline result for many years will always be a loss because of the amortisation of the Skyepharma goodwill.Investors will need to see past the headline results to analyse the prospects of this company, which I believe are very attractive going forward.

It is hard to believe that HBM would sell over 8 million shares recently if they thought there was a realistic chance of a takeover in the near future. I can't see that losing the FD is a positive either so let's hope for good news re trading and the trial results later in the year. As usual, I'm hanging on to my shares and adopting a Mr Micawber attitude in the hope that something will turn up.

I've cleared out the rest of my trade this morning. It was good following this up from the 80p level and I dare say once it's decided on support the recovery will get back to work. Not sure what to think of today's RNS though.

Just musing but if a takeover were imminent then options would be triggered. If that were the case why did he not wait get the options and then get other employment?

Looking at the share price a few weeks ago if someone had said we would be back over 100p in 3 weeks we would have been more than happy. Hows that for me being positive .

Again yesterday someone knew a RNS was coming hoping for good news ! think they may have got there fingers burnt.To me this does not look good but i'm usually wrong.

At 53 he has probably realised that after 5 years with sky pharma and VEC he isn't going to get the top job.His move imho will be to position himself for a ceo post or for a job with better share incentives.He will be seen as a safe pair of hands for a hedge fund group.

Any senior director leaving a company is not good, it suggests there is a better position elsewhere and that immediate prospects are unlikely to be rewarding!

Looks like Algert Global have been busy closing some shorts... four funds still over 0.5%... but total VEC stock shorted now reduced from 3.3 to 2.6%

Think takeover is all pie in the sky, but today the sky is nice and blue just like the share price. Hot here up in the hills !!!
