19/4/2018 13:11 | What I can't understand is that if the rumours of a takeover are so widespread, why is the share price as low as it is unless either the rumours are without foundation or the expected bid price is going to be a big disappointment. | alexchry
19/4/2018 12:56 | Just been told from my broker about takeover rumours, hence the rise poss... | enewman36

18/4/2018 11:25 | Good news today from GSK on Trelegy Ellipta for copd.Presumably our inhaler will be used? | fhmktg
18/4/2018 10:09 | For better or worse I'm out, solid capital gain banked. Definitely potential for more upside here on takeover rumours but otherwise it's up against the top of a falling channel so some retrace might be likely imo, gla. | rathean
17/4/2018 14:00 | Just to look on the bright side of life looks as if we could lose most of yesterdays gain, hope not. | pooroldboy55
17/4/2018 13:51 | Similarly to L&G who appeared to increase and then reduce in a very short timescale... so have these two today. They both recently slightly increased their holdings and now have slightly reduced their holdings. Benchmarks were crossed so RNS were triggered... but whatever the reasons... the volumes, taking into consideration how many these two hold which they COULD sell... are so relatively minuscule... it's obviously nothing to be concerned about! . | dontay
17/4/2018 13:34 | Yes i agree should not make a difference but why sell 4.4 mil. | pooroldboy55
17/4/2018 13:12 | 664m shares in circulation HBM sold 4.4m shares Invesco sold 996,000 shares Vectura traded in 44,000,000 shares yesterday. These sales don't even touch the sides, someone did same major accumulating yesterday Or covered shorts... | kolosos
17/4/2018 12:07 | So that's 2 of the big boys cutting there holding cant see them doing that if a takeover was going to happen. | pooroldboy55
17/4/2018 11:29 | I hope it wasn't a takeover by Novartis that triggered the excitement yesterday as they have set their sights elsewhere. I expected a pause for breath after yesterday but not to lose most of the gains, hope we get a second wind this afternoon. | alexchry
17/4/2018 10:17 | Yesterdays volume likely to have been an interested LT investor or institution taking a stake which would be more of a vote of confidence in Vec imo. I'd prefer that, as a SIPP holder, to speculative punts by traders betting on an offer. The last thing I want to see now is a cheeky RNS (which if it come will in a a day or two before more try to hop on the band wagon) offering 140p. Would prefer £5-6 in a few years which I am convinced will be the case. If no immediate bid price will drop back to 90p but so what. May add further as I like the business model. imo | cumnor
17/4/2018 08:48 | Cityfarmer I'm not saying anything to busy getting ready for the garden party! !!! Cheers POB | pooroldboy55
16/4/2018 20:41 | Amid the recent flurry of deals in the healthcare sector, a surge in embattled pharma firm Vectura’s trading volume reignited long-standing bid rumours in the City as it soared 10.6p, or 11pc, to 104.5p. As Vectura’s trading volume hit eight times its average, City analysts speculated that Vectura losing some of its disgruntled shareholders since its strategy shift may have also relieved some of the selling pressure on the struggler. Pharma giants Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline have been among the names linked with Vectura, which slumped to its lowest level since 2012 in March. | kamitora
16/4/2018 20:29 | today's volume was the biggest this share has had in over 2 years by a factor of 3 (44 million shares vs 15m previously) someone is accumulating a serious stake all of a sudden..... | kolosos
16/4/2018 18:19 | The Evening Standard are saying there may be a bid! I hope not because who ever is behind it probably get it away for about 140p which I think undervalues the longterm prospects of the company. | dp1umb
16/4/2018 17:07 | Still holding, not considering banking my gain until 120s tested. Whatever the speculation about being taken over or FDA worries the price will always return to fair value. | rathean
16/4/2018 17:03 | Those in the 'know' clearly KNOW! Shorts have been burnt big time but still >3% | justiceforthemany
16/4/2018 17:03 | Surely a bid is on the way after this sharp rise. 30% in just over a week! | justiceforthemany
16/4/2018 16:52 | It's got to be a bid ?! | dunderheed
16/4/2018 16:38 | Big volume uptick. New institution, insider knows news or a bid on the way? | samdb |
