18/5/2009 13:08 | I've updated my list and currently have 68 PI's holding a total of 16.6m shares which is 9.39% of UEN. | carlito sway
18/5/2009 12:54 | Dummy sells 10,000 @9p 5,000 @ 9.11p It seems they don't want stock. | pakomacha
18/5/2009 12:53 | Repeat of my post Sunday and info for Carlito :- FWIW, I don't believe Rights issue is not on the cards in the short term, as per other guy's comments above. With Tax relief etc, and reading between the lines of last RNS all seems pretty rosy. Not saying that we won't have a Rights issue in the med term though (1-2 years?), when our share price is nearer NAV to pay debts/ramp up development. Also, my opinion of a takeover is that it is very unlikely. Remember we have come this far due to political pressure of keeping our assets in Russian hands. IE. No foreign companies would be allowed to take us over. Have any of the Russian biggies got enough money to take us over now? If so, what would it achieve? Would they be any quicker to bring our assets up to full production than us, who have all the experience of these fields..... And yes I mean D&T! BTW, my holding is a nice round 247012. (Add 11614, couldn't resist 8.5p!!) All the best for next week. | pwilk47490
18/5/2009 12:50 | johnspain - 18 May'09 - 12:14 - 24863 of 24874 seems to me that all we want to achieve is to be taken seriously by bod when we ask questions. think we probably have that now, as long as mlightfoot is happy to act as an informal representative and call. he can reiterate that he is calling on behalf of owners of ??% of shares in issue. if required maybe we need a list with real names, but suspect not. I see no need for any more formal (or onerous) arrangement. ======== I think I pretty much agree with the post above & in a perfect world I would like to see another thread where informative posts are stored, so that we don't have to scroll through hundreds of posts to find one of spp's gems. Keeping this thread for day to day chit chat, sp, limits & level 2 posts etc. | vssnottm
18/5/2009 12:46 | Carlito I can still sell 50k at 9.15p and buy 50k at 9.6p - still 2 v 3 :) | jcgswims
18/5/2009 12:37 | The reaction for "names" when it was suggested that 10% was represented is because small shareholder action groups do have rights. Very simply:- Stage 1 level of 100 shareholders with £100 paid up share. Right to post questions at General Meetings. Stage 2 level of 10% shares (usually as certificates, and it takes time for nominee accounts to be included as well). Here they have the right to call an EGM with agendas for say replacing Board members etc. It is much more complex than above but it may explain the reaction and request for "names" etc. UKSA have more details. www.uksa.org.uk | togglebrush
18/5/2009 12:35 | again can only sell 10k at 9p | carlito sway
18/5/2009 12:28 | If we could deliver a 20% block vote would that give us any more influence than 19% (for any EGM issues etc)?? | pakomacha
18/5/2009 12:26 | If Sberbank takes the majority, no lobbying would be possible anyway i guess. But if we get DT back, the only thing I would want is not to sell A&P: not a good time, and putting all eggs in one basket ...etc | ucasavi
18/5/2009 12:21 | johnspain, i totally concur | scoraig
18/5/2009 12:21 | yep pak getting the replies i expected and wanted | gibso6767
18/5/2009 12:21 | With regards to use of another portal I have a board you can you use to which I can assign moderators as you choose, this can be run as you wish obviously allowing you to ban the unwanted riff raff, make threads private etc.. Let me know if you want access to this | dadragon
18/5/2009 12:19 | gibso - I doubt we all want the same thing. Even if we say we do now (for convenience) life will happen that will change our positions. Those with the highest holdings (>100K shares) are crucial for the next steps. If the top 5 holders on this board agree a way forward amongst themselves (perhaps offline) then the smaller PIs (me included) can sign up to what is proposed. Whatever happens it needs to build on the strength we already have through this BB. | pakomacha
18/5/2009 12:18 | yes when that last vote happened i just had to inform my brokers h-l of my intentions even though my holding had changed after my vote | gibso6767
18/5/2009 12:16 | cheers john ,i have reread my posting ( will not edit ) i came across as high n mighty of sorts ,ta for answer the wording onerous clinched it for me .I hold a acre of DES petroleum and they have done a similiar thing of sorts and think they will be acting on this alliance of sorts at the next agm ,again ta for the reply | gibso6767
18/5/2009 12:16 | The thing is, what percentage of those shares are held in nominee accounts therefore wouldn't appear on the shareholders list? Real names would be meaningless. | bungeetrader
18/5/2009 12:14 | seems to me that all we want to achieve is to be taken seriously by bod when we ask questions. think we probably have that now, as long as mlightfoot is happy to act as an informal representative and call. he can reiterate that he is calling on behalf of owners of ??% of shares in issue. if required maybe we need a list with real names, but suspect not. 18/5/2009 12:10 | so we all form an alliance of sorts and our holding makes x% of total uen floated shares then,so then what ,does everybody want the same thing and if so what is it,i am fotrunate to have a very low average some are not so ,some are in it for the whols hog ( me included ) some perhaps not and with the economic climate that we have may have to check canopy and bail out at a minutes notice. Will those holding a higher volume than others have more of a say etc (quid pro quo) and not wishing to be naive or negative will other parties be happy with some of there power usurped etc . | gibso6767
18/5/2009 11:58 | 2 v 3 EVO and KBC now on the bid. Historically we know KBC boss this share so seeing them active on the bid and not constantly driving the offer lower is some what comforting. EVO who have been selling over the last few days also on the bid. Just CANA, MTRF and WINS on the offer and I expect MTRF to get a nosebleed shortly and move on.. | jonnyfro
18/5/2009 11:57 | KBC moved to the bid - now 2 v 3 :) | jcgswims |
