18/5/2009 10:11 | Wouldn't bother with the Annual Report service, it isn't for UEN! | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 10:09 | I just felt so much better coming off that call with him, I wonder how rudder-less the UEN corridors have been over the last 6-12 months, clearly there is a breath of fresh air in there now! Even the secretary sounded chirpy today;) | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 10:06 | mlightfoot, Thanks for the report back. Sounds like you got on very well. Maybe we could all chip in and get you a flight out there and a posh hotel - you could wine and dine him and take one for the "ADVFN team" so to speak......LOL | bhoytrader
18/5/2009 10:06 | Thanks as always mlightfoot :) Limits 50k each 9.063 v 9.5 - 2 v 1 :) | jcgswims
18/5/2009 10:06 | mlightfoot - thanks. Is there any value in providing names of holders happy to have one/two folk here nominated to speak direct with GK - rather than "the thousands"? Just a thought, happy to participate if a sensible way can be suggested. Cheers all, OTU | on the up
18/5/2009 10:04 | Thanks mlightfoot! More trasparancy in the FUTURE - looks promising. About nomads.. yesterday evening 21:30 on BBC2 there was a program on Siberia nomads, in all honesty they drink rain deer blood and say it is better than red wine! At least they did not dear to compare it to vodka!! | ucasavi
18/5/2009 10:02 | mlight - thanks. "He did also say that they are planning much more transparency with their shareholders in future and would be opening up the announcements and presentations for all to join in future" I like this bit in your post. they see a 'future' AND a situation where they want to be transparent with shareholders. :) | johnspain

18/5/2009 10:00 | Appreciated by myself also. Not entirely unexpected that he wouldn't be drawn on anything and good that they are trying to plug some leaky holes. | bungeetrader
18/5/2009 10:00 | mlightfoot - your a star, thank you. Obviously they are a lot more confident about the negotiations than they are 'allowed' to be by the lawyers!!!! | dashwoodchris
18/5/2009 10:00 | many thanks mlightfoot...... | bazza33

18/5/2009 09:57 | OK so I introduced myself as representing a group of Pi's who own approximately 10% of the issued share capital. His first response was "could I name those shareholders" I said I could send him a list but on average it broke down to about 120-150k share per person so quite a long list. I then moved on to congratulate him and his appointment, he was very grateful and thanked me. His English is very good and he sounds much livelier to talking to people than VS ever did, he also sounded very positive! I then said that we as a group were encouraged and intrigued by the last 2 RNSs but felt somewhat frustrated that there is still no clear direction on the final outcome. He quite quickly interrupted me, albeit very politely, to say that they had spent some considerable time with their "nomads" and lawyers on the wording of the RNSs and he could not and would not enter into further discussion at this time relating to Sherbank discussions or the final outcome of those discussions, but asked me if "we" could be a little more patient in waiting for the final release. Because of him being so closed to be pressed and because I wanted to develop rapport, I didn't push him anymore. However I did ask him to consider responding to one more question and that was around the obviously selling pressure in the market. He did comment on this and said he and the new CEO have asked for investigation into the recent selling pressure and that they are very surprised by it. I echoed that and said we had hoped the share price would have settled around 12-15p on the recent news, he expressed again that he and the CEO are looking at this in detail and will be responding when they have information. He did also say that they are planning much more transparency with their shareholders in future and would be opening up the announcements and presentations for all to join in future. In short, I liked him, he clearly works closely with the new CEO and I think we are in VERY good hands!! Onwards and upwards - I really have no real concerns! Other than the use of "nomads" a lot on the call - joking!! | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 09:56 | Good luck Peetle...I see your investment intentions have been influenced! ;-> OTU | on the up
