18/5/2009 07:56 | So they'll go to their default and put it down! lol | g3a
18/5/2009 07:55 | My opinion is that we have a room full of mms' scratching their heads wondering what to do with the share price this morning;) | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:46 | Does everyone remember this RNS released on 17th April!!! 17 April 2009 Comment re Share Price Movement Urals Energy notes today's move in the Company's share price and confirms that there have been no recent material developments at the Company. The Company continues to work to finalise the details of the arrangements for the disposal of its shares in ZAO Dulisma and Taas Yuriakh to Sberbank, or an affiliate, in discharge of its loan obligations to Sberbank. At the present time, the Company believes that the due diligence process in relation to the disposals is largely complete. Further announcements will be made in due course. 12 DAYS LATER THE BRILLIANT NEWS ABOUT THE 'U' TURN IN THE POLICY WERE REVEALED. THE BOD CANNOT COME OUT AND MAKE 'WAIT ANOTHER WEEK AND IT WILL BE SORTED' CLAIM AS THAT IS PRICE SENSATIVE. This news of another change is another step on the road to getting D & T back. UEN are moving in a certain direction as no doubt required by Sberbank to get the agreement completed!!! I was in ORE a couple of months back when the takeover was mooted with Peter Hambro Mining, at that thime the same phrase was used 'we cannot guaruantee the outcome' yet less than 3 weeks after that statement being made the takeover was agreed. In summary, their is a certain protocol that companies have to stick to when making announcements, that is all UEN are doing in today's rns. Good news in my opinion, ANOTHER DAY CLOSER!!!! | dashwoodchris
18/5/2009 07:40 | Anyway I'm dining out on CHL's re-rating this morning, first bit of good news in my portfolio for weeks, well other than CZA! :) | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:39 | MJ - I think you're right, the market will take it negatively! However it doesn't take much cash to propel this sp, so we'll soon see what following these new guys have! Hopefully they have Morgan Stanley on board and well briefed - within reason. Found this, so his English seems ok, better give the new boy a call this morning: | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:38 | Note that: "Grigory Kazakov is aged 34" which means that all his work experience is post Soviet Era. Normally considered to be a good thing these days in Russia. His predecessor was old school soviet era. | togglebrush
18/5/2009 07:35 | mlightfoot I agree the majority of the RNS is positive as some have mentioned the bank seem to be putting people on the board that they want to deal with and once this has been done they will restructure the debt(prob debt for equity I suspect). Its fairly irrelevant anyway as the worst case scenario I can see is we carry on with A&P and develop these further. Getting D&T back in some form is just a bonus. | goooba769
18/5/2009 07:30 | There was genuine selling pressure on Friday, so that will have been related to this RNS, but there was also significant buying which was way above the previous days buying. I think there has probably been split camps in UEN and it's Russian followers for some time. | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:29 | It's not a negative RNS, it's a realistic one, the BOD cannot claim a deal is in the bag, when as yet it is not. No material progress means there may have been progress, but as yet structure of a proposed deal has not been outlined. | dusseldorf
18/5/2009 07:28 | Madjock - Never worked for a company where there is a differing view of the org from within?????? | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:27 | So the new board or directors does anyone know them are they experienced in there field or just filling a space so the old boys in the company can leave without a fuss ?? | shares14
18/5/2009 07:27 | ML He's staying as a non exec and the new boy comes from within. How can that give a "new perspective"? | madjock2
18/5/2009 07:26 | regarding restructuring options beyond the previously proposed asset divestitures. While these discussions continue.... They are still working on it and need the right people to say YES. They are going to continue as a going concern. Early dip as sellers get mugged by the MM's then it's back to waiting for the outcome which most were settled for on the original split up. | g3a
18/5/2009 07:26 | Madjock - No it isn't, the market will probably think it is, but it isn't! IMO - Any change to the BoDs is positive, let's face it the previous bunch weren't too hot!! | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:25 | No one should ever underestimate the negative impact poorly respected BoDs can have on every part of a business - Banking, Broker Recommendations, Market Perceptions etc etc. I'm not saying that was the case with the last bunch, but hey they did manage to collapse the shareprice systematically over 12-18 months! A new perspective from a hungry team with an openmind could have real effect on this business. There is cost associated with board changes, significant cost, so if delist was now an option, then we wouldn't be here! | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:23 | I would suggest that the replacement of FD in relation to the discussions with sherbank is a very positive developement . ask yourself this question ,it the talks were going badly or were not going to be sucessful why the neeed management changes .it is very clear they are dancing to the tune of Sherbank which is very good for us afterall | talha2
18/5/2009 07:22 | Ok this is when the real long termers will be tested again, but if you believe in the uen story than this is just a blip and you will be looking at the bigger picture and longer view i can see the 9p level being tested kinda hoping it would find support here.. | shares14
18/5/2009 07:21 | Why is everyone getting so negative on this RNS!?!? If there was a more substantial RNS this morning following the selling on Friday, you could have assumed it was going to have been REALLY bad! | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:19 | I don't think this is negative, it adds more weight to what we hoped was the case that there is a VERY realistic chance of D&T being retained and more importantly that Sherbank are on-board in those discussions, now being mentioned in the RNS. My only concern is if the new board are simply there as scapegoats, but the out-going two directors would have ceased to have been part of the company if that was the case! | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:18 | They can't release news stating we are nearly there or half way etc until whatever they are working on is complete then that is when news will be released. It doesn't say talks have ended... sit & wait.. Mr K. | mrkeysersoze
18/5/2009 07:16 | Personally I think the market can only look at this one way: Sherbank didn't want to entertain continuing to work with previous directors, the changes look to me as though someone, perhaps at Sherbank, has quietly expressed "no confidence/appetite" to work with previous directors, or perhaps those directors had no appetite to continue with the business. The new team are perhaps looking at a greater number of options that appeals to Sherbank. The positive to take away from this RNS is that Sherbank have been explicitally mentioned, so we now know Sherbank are open to discussions, clearly aren't going to default UEN and aren't demanding D&T solely to meet the companies obligations! Onwards and upwards - IMO | mlightfoot
18/5/2009 07:15 | Erm, in a very downwards direction I imagine. | julcester
18/5/2009 07:10 | How will the markets react to this anyone?? | shares14 |
