16/5/2009 13:50 | This was the original strategy to increase shareholder value (uralsenergy.com) (2005). I this now retained as the website hasn't changed. "Urals Energy's objective is to increase shareholder value by focusing on development of its foundation of proven and probable reserves (2P) in East Siberia." | doughty9
16/5/2009 13:43 | G3A - The company remaining listed seems a given, what we don't know is how the finance is to be structured. | gooner6
16/5/2009 13:34 | The following statement from the last RNS does not sound like dilution to me? Mr. Ivanov, the incoming Chairman, commented: "I am confident that the new and strengthened Board will be able to move Urals Energy toward achieving value for the benefit of all shareholders. And how do shareholders realise value? By being able to buy and sell, so I think it also does point to remaining listed. IMHO. | g3a
16/5/2009 13:31 | Hope youre right about the JV Seabass, personally Im not so sure,, I wouldnt discount a bid, there again if they can gain sufficient funding ( which must be on the cards following their decision not to delist and to continue as a going concern , which points me in the direction that they already have a strategic plan in place in liason with the bank), just wish they would post an update to let investors now what their intentions are and we can go foreawrd. ( Unless the decision not to delist was based upon going to market to raise the funds of course ) g | gerryl

16/5/2009 12:47 | gooner - it's the finacial issues that are my only concern, depending on how it's recapitalised. If there is a rights issue then I believe me/us the PI's will be heavily diluted and really no better off than we are now.. To raise any decent cash amount then it would probably have to be 5 or 6 new shares placed at circa 6/7p to each one existing share. Holding the large amounts we do between us, how will raise that sort of money, £140K for me alone. (By selling to buy the issue may not be worth it.) My hope is a JV comes in with cash say of $250M for 25% stake in UEN, valuing all assets approx $1Bn or around 80 cents per unrisked boe, or SB restructures the loans over longer period at more favourable rates to enable the Co. to get to that magic 30,000bope by end 2011 targeted. Then our type of shareholders will see value, if not it will inevitably favour the Fund managers by giving them the chance to heavily average down. | seabass
16/5/2009 12:40 | Shares in SBE are suspended are they not? How could any organization acquire 100% of the shares (from 16%) when this is the case? Every holder would have had to have been approached and sold, including PIs. | amargosa
16/5/2009 12:16 | Well I can't find anything on the net about Neftanik's claims. I think we should take whatever he says with a pinch of salt - His comments go from one extreme to another depending on his mood at that time - all imho etc etc :) | jcgswims
16/5/2009 12:15 | ive finally lost it with that £$%$%k on iii, just ignore him. | scoraig
16/5/2009 11:44 | Just posted on iii by Neftanik, very interesting......... There was an annoucement yesterday afternoon that GazPromNeft have increased their 16% holding in Sibir to 100%. It may be that as the Kremlin is seeing production declining, it wants GazPromNeft to move in where smaller operators are experiencing internal problems, and attempt to get things straightened out. Urals may be in the firing line for GazPromNeft, regardless of who actually ends up with Dulisma and SRB. Anyway, I bought a couple of grands worth yesterday afternoon anyway. The Sibir news is fact, the Urals / GazPromNeft connection is my own speculation...... | matt19
16/5/2009 11:11 | Thanks Gooner. Good realistic reply. I don't know what the latest PI holding total % is on here, but it looked substantial heading upwards towards 10% perhaps. UEN top investors (header above) 67.6%. I notice in the latest rns Mr. Ivanov holds 310K or 0.16%. Anybody any ideas of rest of holdings by board or others? | doughty9
16/5/2009 10:47 | Gooner, thanks for your views and the BOL with your holdings in uen.. | shares14
16/5/2009 10:46 | shares - Yes currently i will sell at 40p, BUT really before i can say a 100% i like everyone else needs to see then evaluate the plans of UEN. I believe with the right news UEN share price will be north of 100p. This has been hammered on finance issues, these appear to be resolved, the next update will hopefully answer all the questions and allow investors to evaluate the potential of the share price. | gooner6
16/5/2009 10:38 | Gooner so what in your optimistic view do you think they will be worth in a year, did you not say that you would start selling at around 40p,or was that some one else... | shares14
16/5/2009 10:29 | shares - UEN will be worth more than 50p in a year if finance and D&T are sorted. | gooner6
16/5/2009 10:28 | I don't see a bid happening, not whilst Sberbank seem to be back on side. With finance and D&T retained, it would have to be one hell of a bid. To many major investors holding stock take at significantly higher prices. Long term UEN can get back to those share price levels, with the required finance in place, that appears to be what the coming are working towards. Hopefully the next update confirms that. So a bid will have to a huge premium, can't see it myself. | gooner6
16/5/2009 10:23 | Yes volatile is right, but in the end uen could be worth 30-50p if you hold for the year.. | shares14
16/5/2009 10:19 | Matt sounds good lets hope that there is something in it but we need an rns realy i think the mm are sick of these rumours!!! | shares14
16/5/2009 10:19 | To be fair shares you called it correctly, I think we will bounce next week though back towards 15p. | matt19
16/5/2009 10:16 | Rumour bid coming in as above. | matt19
16/5/2009 10:13 | Iam hoping that 9p will act as support or if this breaks its a drop all the way to 7.5p,matt;-) | shares14
16/5/2009 10:11 | goooba, the rumours from iii sound interesting check out post 24583. This should give a bounce on rumour alone. | piratepete612
16/5/2009 10:07 | piratepete cheers for that saved me going through 500 odd posts! I leave you all for one day and we end up down! Think we had few people getting borred and deciding to sell out and once we started dropping stop losses started going off left right and centre. I can see this rebounding monday to ~12p. Im still happy to hold and I think we will see news next week some time. | goooba769 |
