17/5/2009 17:49 | I have never had to add so many people to the filter list as I have in these last 2 weeks across advfn. Where are these people coming from?? | pelleeds1980
17/5/2009 17:44 | Well i sold a portion at 16.25 and the rest is a gamble i think this level needs a good bounce 2moro to prove its strength, without news i see this testing new lows believe me iam now thinking i should of sold more but iam also looking at the long term view and like gooner says if all goes well this could be 40p verrry quickly, and more.... | shares14
17/5/2009 17:36 | i ain't gonna argue with you - it would be a waste of your time as you dont appear to listen to anyone's opinions.....and more importantly it would be a waste of my time if your target was 5-12p why not sell up and move somewhere else - you're target was reached | darren81
17/5/2009 17:33 | And for the record i always said 5-12p is a good result,i just hung out for 16.25p.... | shares14
17/5/2009 17:30 | Iam not deramping just making sense as ive said i would not buy more shares and wont,i too still have holdings here but iam trying not to let a 500% rise make me greedy and believe this will continue i still hope the 9p level is the start of another run but we need news,NOW TELL ME WHY IAM WRONG????????? | shares14
17/5/2009 17:26 | thats quite a bit of deramping you've been doing over the last few days shares14 - why don't you get back in your box | darren81
17/5/2009 17:22 | Its simple news is what we need and we are good,no news and 7.5p the next stop the mm have this well under control. | shares14
17/5/2009 17:04 | Not nervous cliffbarns - that would insinuate worry - Now excited, yes :) | jcgswims
17/5/2009 16:29 | hands up whom is getting nervous i think we have settled at are level for next news but i wouldnt go to far from your monitors this week fun fun fun and all that. | cliffbarns2
17/5/2009 11:04 | gooba - it depends if our seller is still about and judging by Fridays performance I dont think anyone can predict where the share price will end tomorrow. One thing for sure is that if good news leaks and we start seeing a flurry of large buys the fact we have a seller will be irrelevant... | jonnyfro
17/5/2009 10:52 | Monday should see us move back to our usual ground ~12p(unless there is some bad news leaking but I hope not!). Now its been over two weeks since the last RNS and I think they need to resolve the current situation so all their efforts can be channelled towards getting development back on track and output significantly higher while we have tax breaks. | goooba769
17/5/2009 10:39 | Risk /reward ratio is now VERY appealing!! | squintyflinty
17/5/2009 10:20 | The message on the UEN homepage makes me smile for some reason; Urals Energy "Nothing is impossible". | bungeetrader
17/5/2009 10:09 | Hold 50000 average @ 9.1p hope to add another 50000 on Monday. Good luck all, hopefully next week Thanx for great posts this week-end, beats the Ipswich Town chronicle, cantwait for next season.........! | wayney
17/5/2009 09:39 | FWIW, I don't believe Rights issue is not on the cards in the short term, as per other guy's comments above. With Tax relief etc, and reading between the lines of last RNS all seems pretty rosy. Not saying that we won't have a Rights issue in the med term though (1-2 years?), when our share price is nearer NAV to pay debts/ramp up development. Also, my opinion of a takeover is that it is very unlikely. Remember we have come this far due to political pressure of keeping our assets in Russian hands. IE. No foreign companies would be allowed to take us over. Have any of the Russian biggies got enough money to take us over now? If so, what would it achieve? Would they be any quicker to bring our assets up to full production than us, who have all the experience of these fields..... And yes I mean D&T! BTW, my holding is a nice round 247012. All the best for next week. | pwilk47490
16/5/2009 22:01 | stevie i live about300 yards away from the treebridge ,think manu will field a bum team re match 3 days later what with already winning the title .and well done to blackburn jcg ( your in oim arent you ).anyway i am still confident with uen but truth be known would like a quick result possibly at the sacrifice of final return to put elswhere in skr ,lmt and anr .i also envisage desire petroleum to have posative news within next 2 noths or so . A question what with the current financial market and its value ,to a certain extent if you invested in a firm any within reqason do you think it would return more than a bank account | gibso6767
16/5/2009 19:35 | Still time yet gibso - if Newcastle win or draw next week and Hull lose against Man U then they stay up - I am just happy that Blackburn secured their place today without even kicking a ball! :) | jcgswims
16/5/2009 19:21 | stevie o/t re boro yep they have got what they deserve ,steve gibson as admiral as it is sticks with managers for far too long bryan robson being an example. And if you look at the championship and lower leagues there are many a ex premiership or as was league 1 teams ,leeds being an example. Shearer was a big fish in a small pond what with his punditry but has now failed in his attempts to keep newcastle up.i am glad for hull city though ,more so dean windass in particular .so ( ahem not a chat up line ) wheres your local then | gibso6767
16/5/2009 18:03 | tonudiki I suspect the other hands you posted may be more significant than realised, particularly: "a) The tax concessions announced for East Siberia makes a very positive difference to future profits and finance b) The oil pipeline to China from East Siberia is being more actively progressed and may now achieve it's timetables" b) might enable UEN to realise higher oil prices on the market nearer to world prices, and coupled to a) with zero tax, might well take UEN above the critical mass whereby the profits would accelerate disproportionately with increasing output. 50% of a highly leveraged profit margin is still very favourable. I followed Dragon Oil (DGO) for some years and watched as the output was ramped up and the profits ramped up disproportionately faster with increasing oil price. DGO's share ranged from 72% at $50-70/bbl oil prices, down to 55% for the peak prices in 2008. The rest goes to the government. Even with this 55% DGO's profits quickly mounted up and approaching $1 billion cash in a few years. UEN have more ambitious plans for ramping up production, beyond that of DGO, in a shorter space of time, and even with 50% of profits its long term potential is staggering. spp119's ducks in line and all that. | doughty9
16/5/2009 17:53 | gibso - I don't see investors having to wait long for a good return. I don't believe there will be a rights issue, just can't see it happening. | gooner6
16/5/2009 17:44 | gibso - o/t sh1te day for Boro! Can't say we deserve to stay up though to be honest, given the amount of chances we've had to get out of it and blown them. (I've read you're from Boro too if you were wondering!) | steviewo
16/5/2009 15:24 | good post tonu ,however how many would have the patience ,balls stamina to stay that long .i hold ANR and many a poster on there actually beleive wholeheartedly that it will multiply 25 times or so its current share price within 2 years of course numerous retraces etc profit taking . i wonder what % of holders be them private or instituition get a share at its nadir and sell at its zenith( yes it can go up and dowm and how long will firms last ) | gibso6767
16/5/2009 13:52 | seabass - I don't share your same concerns, well not to that extent. The initial plan to delist i believe would have given shareholders a minimum of 20p. Others with a better knowledge than me would say a figure possibly significantly higher. The last RNS clearly stated that the company are looking at options that will give shareholders greater value than delisting. I really don't see a rights issue at anything like the current price. Remember the BOD hold a large percentage of shares, they will be looking out for there interests. I actually think Sberbank will be providing the finance, could be straight forward debt but some how i doubt it. Possibly debt for equity. Rumours of a JV would be next on my list. Don't really see a right issue happening. | gooner6 |
