Sick squid seems to be a watershed,but not sure which way.I don't lose sleep over UU - I think it is as safe as they come ,outside deposit accounts and bonds.

Don't mind admitting I was very nervous first thing what with yesterday's Dow performance. I think if we can just get to the end of Friday without disaster all should be well.

Bought some at 599.5. Using DMA, at first only 32 were taken off my hands and I was worried I'd be left with a wildly uneconomic trade, but the rest followed some minutes later.

Come on the Dow!

The worst Buys I make are bad decisions ; bought about a dozen complete lemons so far in 20 yrs, only consolation is that they offset CGT. Sadly I usually manage to buy them in the ISA so don't help there .In retrospect , I would have done better to buy only UU !

We've all done it mate but look on the bright side: I've known people go short when they meant to go long, to buy VOG when they meant to buy VOD - you've done nothing that bad!

I agree , 20p not to be sniffed at , though hard to see where the price is going.Could easily ping down well below 580 XD.
I might put a bit more there myself - just off to look in the portfolio, though I have always been a bit heavy here.

This goes XD in just a week - I'd have thought to see some buying for that substantial chunk of income. Surely there's a good chance of getting back to 620, if not 630?

Seems a heck of a drop for a defensive - so much so I just checked to see if maybe it had gone XD. Unless tomorrow's [edit: today's] another shocking day, should be a decent bounce.
