10/5/2011 20:32 | 32p forward divi at 5% yield equals 640p share price. Indicates further relatively fast move from current levels c620p. I note that recent average of all brokers is 670p...............w | qed2
15/4/2011 17:47 | Good to see us through the 600 barrier | pillion
15/4/2011 17:45 | Extended my net UU. bullish position. | alphorn
04/4/2011 13:54 | Both Ng and uu. looking to break back above 600. | mac15
31/3/2011 10:19 | thank gawd for a couple of "old plodders" like UU. keeping me in the black. | ttg100
24/3/2011 11:01 | So far this sideways moving share is an ideal share to be long/short and receive both premiums - long may it continue. | alphorn
24/3/2011 10:58 | ..........remains on track to deliver a solid underlying financial performance for the year ending March 31, 2011, with performance continuing slightly ahead of management expectations | pillion
21/3/2011 17:33 | Wad, i got out at 567 and with that drop i was expecting it to go sub 550 to the 540 range, so i missed the second boat on this last rise. | kasamavic
21/3/2011 13:04 | Looks like you timed well.I see a director bought £400k worth of shares at the end of last week.Good to see some confidence in their company. (Though he could be a multimillionaire emptying his pockets) | wad collector
15/3/2011 15:44 | Well 555 got reached, i'm in now. | kasamavic
11/3/2011 12:25 | Jam yesterday--companies that use to pay a decent yield? | wad collector
10/3/2011 17:40 | Jam Today --Companies that yield a divi Jam Tomorrow -- Those that don't, but might one day..... | pillion
10/3/2011 11:18 | Defensives are dull but happier holding these at the moment than being in financials. Only weakness could be fund managers churning through sectors as they don't worry about wasting other people's money. If you look at Ng., cna, bats, vod, they all have fairly large swings for ---- no reason!. Regulatory scare stories, imminent takeovers make good entry, exit points but most of the stories are planted. If your timing is good trade in and out , but also enjoy the yield if you haven't the time mess about. | mac15
10/3/2011 08:41 | Holding up surprisingly well, considering. Still see more weakness and will buy in the 555 range. | kasamavic
03/3/2011 07:54 | "How much in the very recent rise in UU is due to this and how much more can UU go up if a bid for Northumbrian were to develop and how much is UU worth with a bid. 700p+£ I dont know about a potential bid nor do I consider that these shares are particularly high now. The recent rise is just a gradual return to real market value. I think that the share is very undervalued even at these prices considering that the club first bought in at £6:56 some considerable time ago. We have also bought and sold some since then but still kept the block we originally bought. | darias
02/3/2011 13:54 | See today's alphaville markets live for a plausible explanation for today's rise (scroll down about half way for the UU bit) | timbo003
19/2/2011 17:24 | Big article in Weekend FT saying Northumbrian Water is a take over prospect if the UK electrical utility (I can't remember which one) is taken over and the losing companies look for another utility to take over. How much in the very recent rise in UU is due to this and how much more can UU go up if a bid for Northumbrian were to develop and how much is UU worth with a bid. 700p+ | robertfaulkner
14/2/2011 05:30 | mac15 Good find .....United Utilities has been in and out of the Dogs for years...... ......... yielding nearly 5.2% and should prove a solid investment over the next few years Amen to that | pillion
13/2/2011 10:53 | uu. back with the dogs--- | mac15
13/2/2011 10:40 | Talking of direction, will UU hit 580 or 560 next, if you look at header it's very finely balanced. Except it's got upward momentum at present. | robertfaulkner
12/2/2011 21:01 | Just so we know what direction we heading :o) | 3banny
12/2/2011 20:59 | It may appear that I am getting a little anal about inflation but I do think it's an important equation at the mo. | 3banny
11/2/2011 14:37 | Ng. and Cna(which I also hold) doing well whilst water utilites are looking for direction. Good yield on these so tempted to buy more for the June divi. Anyone else buying? | mac15
07/2/2011 09:08 | Woodford' sales over last quarter have depressed the price giving PIs a good buying oppoertunity IMO | mac15 |
