Dealy - they don't really need to target anyone. All oil sources will be getting ordered in advance from every country on the planet... We did say last year that the lack of investment in new oil when Green EV was going ballistic was going to hit home... and it's hit hard.

I'm sure ODEY will also want to be buying to close out his latest shorts and make some profits...

Fizzmiss, I unfiltered you to check on the latest nonsense you have been spouting. In your breathless attempts to undermine all things TLW, I believe you have directly libelled Rahul 3 separate times.

I have taken screenshots of your outrageous transgressions, and will send them to the company - for Rahul's attention.

What people like you fail to grasp is that online libel / misinformation is very much actionable, and you can be sued. Companies cannot afford to allow downright lies to be pumped out by anyone - period.

You have been particularly stupid and careless in your posts today, and I hope the company takes you for every penny you have.

given that a huge part of the world is being embargoed for oil sales, the safe location of Ghana should actually have gone up in value. Also, why can't Tullow offer to supply certain European countries directly with non Russian crude?

Stop panicking and just look at the figures:

Gross profit up +55%
Losses down from $1.22Bn to a small $81M

And that's based on an oil price average of only $70.68 in 2021

There will be a large order placed earlier. Once it clears there will be a degree of re-bound in share price imho... later today or tomorrow (as long as there's no market crash from something around Russia)...

Chill :-)

Tell you what though if they push it down more I will happily buy a second batch. Not concerned at these levels at all...

Tullow Oil has reported FY 2021 results that are in line with our forecasts. Net debt has further declined and is set to do so again in 2022. Production guidance is unchanged, while operating cash flow guidance has improved slightly to offset a one-off payment. Reserves and resources provide a significant opportunity.

2021 results
Average group working interest production of 59.2 kboepd led to revenues of $1.3bn in 2021 and adjusted EBITDAX of $961m. This was achieved with an average realised oil price of $62.7/bbl. The results were in line with our forecasts. Reported free cashflow of $245m includes disposal proceeds of $133m and this has led to a further decline in net debt to $2.13bn from a high of $4.8bn in 2016. Net debt:EBITDAX declined from 3.0x in 2020 and 5.1x in 2016 to only 2.2x in 2021. The company’s gearing target of below 1.5x is now firmly in view.

2022 outlook
Production guidance for 2022 has been maintained at 55-61 kboepd and Tullow expects a further 5 kboepd once the exercise of the pre-emption rights in Ghana has been completed, which we expect this year. Early indications are that production has started the year favourably. Cash flow guidance for 2022 has improved due to high oil prices achieved so far in 2022. Based on this, Tullow expects to be able to largely offset a $76m one-off payment to HiTec Vision following an arbitral decision and still achieve its previous guidance of $100m of free cash flow in 2022. This is based off an assumed price of $75/bbl. The company has 40% unhedged exposure to the upside in the oil price going forward, which would increase post the execution of the pre-emption rights.”

The bigger picture
Commercial oil reserves of 207.1 mmbbl at the end of 2021 are largely unchanged during the year ex the impact of the small disposals. At spot prices, the reserves imply potential revenues of almost 8x the EV and 20x the market cap, and 2C oil resources remain a multiple of commercial oil reserves. Oil prices are likely to be remain very volatile and there will be some cost inflation to consider in due course, but the opportunity continues to be very significant. There is also the possibility of material earnings and cashflow accretion from refinancing outstanding debt in late 2023 or thereafter.
