All it will take is for a major to take a stake and it is going to be a free for all with 7% bought back by African investors. Taking back control I suppose?

For those who don't know, the making of Tullow (imo) was their acquisition of Energy Africa back in 2004, which lay down the foundations of everything that was to follow. So it's very interesting that

"In 1994, Samuel Dossou- Aworet approached Engen Petroleum , a predominant south African oil company, to form Energy Africa, the first pan African exploration and production company traded in the Johannesburg stock exchange. Ten year after its creation, the company was acquired [5] by Tullow Oil, doubling [6] the British oil company size in the process. Since, Tullow had successful endeavors in Africa namely in Ghana with the Jubilee Oil Field"

Samuel appears to have prospered since.

Sit back and let them get on with it. Once loaded we will be carried up however long it takes. 70-80k bopd is a good income. Not worried about debt with the assets they have.

Billionaire ? Co founder of Energy Africa and a professional petroleum engineer and legendary oil investor ... you can be sure he knows a little more about Tullow than the average muppet. I believe production
forecasts for next year will be back up to 90kpd within 3 months on the assumption of a 3 well work programme encompassing a couple of vertical wells. The Ghanaians are 5 years behind on their gas offtake and Tullow has had to reign back production because it cannot reinject much more gas into the northern part of the field . Once facilities are available top side in the 1Q you will see production forecasts rising again. Just my opinion.
