Ghana.
In the bigger picture Tullow is only a bit player,Whoever controls the gas system controls a lump of Tullows Oil production.so are Tullow between a rock and a hard place?
Sell down or we will shut off your gas! Tullow will have to spend money to find a solution.
Only time will tell.

If this happens, it will be a 7am rns. 'Possible offer' etc etc. Imagine being short if that were to happen. Stop losses would be meaningless and spread betters who were short would be destroyed. It could literally bankrupt you. Anyone short?

Morning xx
It seems that the west africa gas import /export facility has has many problems over the years on the Nigeria side
The West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) is a natural gas pipeline to supply gas from Nigeria's Escravos region of Niger Delta area to Benin, Togo and Ghana. It is the first regional natural gas transmission system in sub-Saharan Africa.

interesting
LNG terminal will also provide a potential alternative to the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) project, a multi-country venture supplying piped gas from Nigeria to Ghana.

If total can get this right then a lot to play for here maybe cut out Nigeria and its problems
back to Ghana
It is estimated that Ghana has approximately 22.65 billion cubic metres of proved reserves of natural gas in its oil fields.17 To ensure the safe and optimal use of natural gas, associated gas and natural gas liquids (NGL) from the oil fields, GGCL entered into an engineering procurement construction and commissioning agreement with SINOPEC in 2012 for the development of the Western Corridor Gas Infrastructure Development Project. The first phase of the project was commissioned in September 2015 and consists of an offshore pipeline, an onshore pipeline, a gas processing plant and a NGLs export system at Atuabo in the Western Region of Ghana. At full capacity, the facility is expected to produce 107 million standard cubic feet of lean gas, 500 tonnes of LPG, 80 tonnes of pentane and 45 tonnes of condensates daily.18 The project is currently connected to the gas infrastructure to the West Africa Gas Pipeline to enable the reverse flow of gas between the two lines.

interesting view:

this is correct.

It's going to be acquired, it's not often a company like TLW openly puts itself up for sale! My company has worked for TLW many times over the past 15 years, we were a big part of the Ghana Projects both TEN and Jubilee and these are very attractive assets. We also worked on Kenya, this has huge potential, Uganda will be sold off as will Guyana, makes sense for bigger players to incorporate these into existing portfolios!

Hell £1.72 is very cheap for this company and all the parts, if you look at the acreage it holds globally this is jackpot for a bigger well financed player. Like I said the other day, Data Rooms is coming, but I suspect the truth will be one of the existing Non-Op Partners will "Total ly" take this out very soon. Lock Stop and Barrel! But I could see someone like PMO trying to be ambitious on this....

Before this happens the City is going to be onto this and the share price is going North!

Tullow’s 70% stock meltdown

- Tullow Oil (LON: TLW) saw its share price fall off a cliff this week, falling by 70 percent in a single day. It was one of the worst performances from a London-listed company in a decade, as the FT put it.

- The meltdown was the result of a revelation by the company of its dismal performance in Ghana. The company’s flagship operation has a list of technical issues – in particular, more water than expected has entered its oil field.

- Tullow slashed its production guidance to just 70,000 bpd in 2020, down from 100,000 previously.

- Cash flow is expected to fall to just $150 million as a result, down from a previous forecast of $500 million.

The festive season is here and many city boys needed some quick money, so what better way to do it. Shorters made big money and now many others making big money too. Its how it works. My friends that used to work with me in the city, were analysing the trades before the shock news and short positions, and have found something very interesting.

Whose sister? Come on chaps his sister has done nothing wrong to you chaps. She must be a decent respectfully women.

The share price will settle around the 80p to 1pound range, so still got legs. Remember the drop to 40p was never warranted and still a 100% rise is required to just get back to 140p and over 200% to get to November price. Drop way way over done.
