09/12/2019 12:13 | Your buys are not looking good whites123 - 09 Dec 2019 - 09:37:58 - 35964 of 36070 Tullow Oil PLC - Poised for a Takeover? - TLW I glanced through and saw a comment wondering what I was up to.. Do I like this.... Hell No.. But, the portfolio of exploration is still good. Fields operated by partners are still good. Forecast for next three years is still good (Albeit guidance is down by circa 10%) Its an absolute mess... Its a disaster... I have therefore added another token gesture £60k at .5775 and £20k @ .575 which has bought my average down to a figure which I believe will easily be surpassed. Dont fret :-) | datait

09/12/2019 12:03 | These days I prefer to keep away from highly leveraged stocks. Steady as you go companies like Anglo Asian are a lot better for the blood pressure Free cash flow of $16.4 million (H1 2017: $7.4 million) Net debt decreased to $2.9 million at 30 June 2018 (31 December 2017: $18.1 million) Cash of $12.5 million at 30 June 2018 (31 December 2017: $2.5 million) I feel for anyone who has lost money here | peteark

09/12/2019 11:54 | Ms Thompson CBE is ensuring worst possible scenarios are played out.. I had missed those two words.. "At Least" generate underlying free cash flow of "at least" $150 million Looked back at released results and the hedges TLW had secured.. I would anticipate the hedges in place offer some protection against a collapse in oil. But really? Is the topic of discussion now about the collapse of oil as opposed to TLW clearing the decks of its board and seeking replacements? You couldnt make it up, except we are making it up. Other oil forums discuss how high Oil will go... LOL... Here on TLW because of todays announcement the talk is of Oil collapsing... I expect chat to turn to Electric cars to take over the world to further add to TLW demise... :-) | whites123

09/12/2019 11:48 | Read this section. . Will be a thorough reassessment. . The BOD 'believe' as series of actions. . They have work to do to firm up, and then deliver the numbers quoted. The bad news IMO is not all announced. You do not sack your CEO like this easily. In light of these new production forecasts, there will be a thorough reassessment of the Group's cost base and future investment plans in order to allocate appropriate capital to the Group's core production assets, development projects and continued exploration. The Board believes that a series of actions will help deliver sustainable free cash flow. These actions include reducing capital expenditure, operating costs and corporate overheads. In 2020, the Board expects the Group to generate underlying free cash flow of at least $150 million at $60/bbl after a Group capital investment ofc.$350 million. Considering this level of expected free cash flow, the Board has decided to suspend the dividend. | stoneme |
