18/9/2018 14:21 | Ifthecapfits Suriname, 2 year extension given for block 47 where the Goliathberg prospect is a candidate for 2019. From the latest 2018 report SS | subsurface
18/9/2018 14:02 | Look forward to Namibia & Guyana. Both could be high impact. Any ideas when we are going int Suriname again? Cant see anything on TLW web pages. | ifthecapfits
18/9/2018 13:43 | Just tracking the POO nothing to underpin the price yet but good for getting the debt down we need good news with the drilling and the cash from the Uganda farm down my worry is we get good news from drilling offset with more delay from Uganda SS | subsurface
18/9/2018 13:20 | Looks like the downward trend is broken, would be great to see a sustained rise above 260p now... | mcsean2164
13/9/2018 12:49 | It seems there is solid support on 200 MA, on top this option exercise. | n73

12/9/2018 18:12 | Looks like Total have exercised there option for 25%. If correct speaks volumes as they had 120 days to decide very Hot area! ss | subsurface
12/9/2018 08:43 | The main surprise for me Bootycall in the CPR was that Hammerhead was a Tertiary discovery. Don't know if it also included some upper cretaceous pay or not. But the CPR says Hammerhead "has proven that the Tertiary section has commercial accumulations of hydrocarbons in stratigraphic sand traps." Exxon's 'RNS' said "proving a new play concept for potential development". Hammerhead may not necessarily have a read through into Iatuk, as one is (100%???) tertiary, the other upper cretaceous. Hammerhead Tertiary sounds significant and opens up an additional play. Tullow have been concentrating on the upper-cretaceous. I guess there will now be some back pedalling to have another look at the Tertiary, and maybe drill something that tests both sections if such a dual prospect exists. | xxnjr1
11/9/2018 13:57 | From ECO rns 31/8/2018: "The Hammerhead-1 was drilled to a Total Depth of 4,225 metres and discovered material quantities of oil in turbidite channel systems. The Orinduik Block partnership has extensively studied 2D Geophysics throughout the area including out onto the Stabroek block and has completed a 2,550 km(2) 3D Survey last year. This 3D Survey includes the Hammerhead-1 well location and shows that these channel systems do extend up dip onto the Orinduik license. For the past eight months, the Tullow and Eco teams have been coordinating a detailed interpretation of the 3D seismic data, and this phase of the work is now nearing completion and progressing to target selection." | mariopeter
11/9/2018 11:18 | Ah, the full CPR is here. will read later..... .....1st take - better than the summary! | xxnjr1
11/9/2018 10:03 | Just been listening to Cairn results webcast. Smidgeon of colour on the on shore blocks they farmed into in Cote d'Ivoire. "It's a Rift Valley - like Uganda." That's all they said. Cairn could have added (but didn't) - like Rajasthan (where we discovered a lot of oil). Exploration play starting to make sense now. | xxnjr1
11/9/2018 08:53 | hmmmm! Well considering Gil said “We see the prospect, which we call Iatuk, that stretches and covers Hammerhead and goes into our Orinduik block — it is the same prospect in many ways,” Surprised the CoS is a lowly 22.4%! Clearly not the same prospect - just in the same major fan system, which is more or less what Gil vaguely implied before. I've been going on about the slope. You can see it represented better here. Enough said. I've also mentioned there are several Canyon Systems on the bock, one of them being Essequibo, confirmed by ESQ-2 (Essequibo-2) well on the same graphic. All the prospects to west fed by Essequibo canyon I would say. So 3 prospects have CoS 22.4% and 7 prospects don't! Must be lower. 2.5bn bbls prospective resource BUT how much of that is 22.4% CoS? Not enough info - this CPR Summary is lacking detail. | xxnjr1
11/9/2018 00:18 | I see TRP are re-applying for PEL10 Namibia, as per the new presentation I also noted on Eco's new presentation Repsol listed as new entrant, are they coming back to PEL 10 as well ? I thought this prospect was to big to let the licence run out. Guess the discounted rig rates have brought them back A boast for those next door | jimarilo
10/9/2018 23:18 | Hi Extrader, Elephants never forget. The elephant named "Tullow" is a bit of a slow mover. Suffering from a bit of fatigue from previous campaigns with the drill-bit. The imminent CPR will be down trodden by the herd. If and when a new elephant is born the gait will become more strident. | xxnjr1
10/9/2018 20:20 | Hi all, Faintly surprised no apparent read-across reaction over here to ECO's Hammerhead, Guyana, considering that TLW have 60%..... Or is it just a case of 'elephants don't gallop' ? ATB | extrader
10/9/2018 11:42 | I bought at 40k 32p, but sold under 40p, put the funds elsewhere A profit is a profit and my bet hasn't played out yet, may have been the right decision yet Time will tell | jimarilo
10/9/2018 11:37 | Very nearly bought ECO at 32p but didn't - oh well.... | ifthecapfits
10/9/2018 11:12 | With hindsight, if you moved over to ECO it was the way to go Short term at least so far | jimarilo |
