Hi Extrader,

Elephants never forget. The elephant named "Tullow" is a bit of a slow mover. Suffering from a bit of fatigue from previous campaigns with the drill-bit. The imminent CPR will be down trodden by the herd. If and when a new elephant is born the gait will become more strident.

Hi all,

Faintly surprised no apparent read-across reaction over here to ECO's Hammerhead, Guyana, considering that TLW have 60%.....

Or is it just a case of 'elephants don't gallop' ?

I bought at 40k 32p, but sold under 40p, put the funds elsewhere

A profit is a profit and my bet hasn't played out yet, may have been the right decision yet

Time will tell

With hindsight, if you moved over to ECO it was the way to go

Short term at least so far

OT too - Tesla, have you seen the ft alphaville webclip, with Musk sucking on a fat one? The best thing the guy can do for his shareholders sake is walk the plank

it has a high beta, so falls/(rises - i wish!) more quickly than the market.

only bad news potential I can think of is Uganda CGT, but I doubt there's anything particularly significant going on there

It always gets hit harder than most, it's down 11% in a week and seems oil goes down by less than half that, but that's Tullow for you, reading a lot of the posts this week it looks to have plenty of prospects but clearly not showing in share price

FTSE100 -86pts RDSB et all, all down. doesn't seem TLW specific.

It seems to be being pushed down falsely for some reason, oil still is $76+ and only 2 million trades is something else going to come out of the woodwork

from xom release

ExxonMobil (NYSE:XOM) has made its ninth discovery offshore Guyana at the Hammerhead-1 well, marking its fifth discovery on the Stabroek Block in the past year and proving a new play concept for potential development....

that normally means a different geological age, or trapping mechanism to previous finds. Age presumably? higher up (or younger) in the upper cretaceous than existing?

Reading between the lines!

"“We see the prospect, which we call Iatuk, that stretches and covers Hammerhead and goes into our Orinduik block — it is the same prospect in many ways,” Holzman said of the most easterly prospect so far identified on Orinduik and next door to Hammerhead."

and looking at the seismic lines on slide 31 of interim results presentation, IATUK seems to be in a a higher sand package than Lisa? Presumably same aged sands though?

thanks xx/bootycall - I enjoyed the debate!

weak here today - possibly just worries over the OP and demand, possibly in sympathy with Enquest who have failed miserably to pay down their debt.
