26/9/2019 18:56 | nocents..a classics scholar is a rare bird on these BB's and I enjoy your analogies as much as I enjoy reading every single current poster's views on TRIN....good or bad | marvelman
26/9/2019 18:51 | otemple To clarify further...RRE's cash balances are EQUAL to its current market cap even after excluding provisions for decommisioning costs)and has just announced a 4% dividend. The stock has increased by circa 500% over 18 months through masterly acquisitions...a route I hope the TRIN BOD will eventually take with its own cash reserves albeit not on the same scale. I hold both but only one for the long term. "Interested in your views as that is the whole point of these boards to discuss and debate"...absolutely otemple although I would not want to annoy my fellow posters on this BB with too much that relates to other stocks. RRE though is a great case study should anyone wish to do pursue on that BB...regards | marvelman
26/9/2019 17:43 | Russia,Don't know much of RRE so would maybe be more useful to get your view but I think:- both have significant cash balances (RRE win on this front % wise)- RRE assets have limited lifespan (5 years I think I read somewhere but please correct) but have been extending this - Trin assets can go for a long time (Bruce said forever but not what he meant!) - RRE will need to do a deal to keep moving forward. They have an excellent track record but no guarantees- Trin have a low risk growth plan that will double production in the next few years potentially more - RRE has older riskier assets Vs trins onshore & offshore modelSo, I guess in summary very different business models but both appealing. RRE is very very popular (all over twitter) whereas Trin is not really on anyone's radar. This is why I think Trin is more appealing as highly popular stocks can fall from grace with a misstep whereas Trin feels like it is an unknown story which should help the rerate (assuming it comes!). Am bullish on both as think oil is massively out of favour (unjustly) and if I wasn't heavily invested in oil already (here and JSE) I would be investigating RRE furtherInterested in your views as that is the whole point of these boards to discuss and debate | otemple3

26/9/2019 15:55 | I am arguing with myself. What I mean is that this is likely the floor for today. Perhaps not tomorrow. Hope clarifies my ramblings. Sorry all. | nocents
26/9/2019 15:52 | A drop is likely tomorrow. Especially as it’s Friday. | nocents
26/9/2019 15:49 | OT. Opinion based on being a Trinnie and 5 yrs worth of gamrs. Not sure you will see better price than this with October news ahead. Just over 11p to buy. Not my business. Just trying to help. | nocents
26/9/2019 15:36 | Mi Mi....they really want to suppress Trin for some reason don’t they. Wonder why. | nocents
26/9/2019 15:31 | I may be deeply frustrated with the games and selling but at least I know this company like I know no other. I have been taken for too many rides. | nocents
26/9/2019 15:29 | Russia. Because I know nothing about RRE. | nocents
26/9/2019 15:28 | I think the share price will be going up, certainly short term as people read the Shares mag article. | m5
26/9/2019 15:12 | Tried to buy some for my wife's ISA but couldn't get under 11p - will try later | otemple3
26/9/2019 15:01 | nocents why invest here compared to the likes of RRE | russiaguru
26/9/2019 14:59 | selling ( not swlling) | nocents
26/9/2019 14:59 | Yes you did. Same old. It’s because of Mitie swlling though. They dp it at below market prices. Sign of a fund swlling. Thae pattern convinced me a drop was imminent. | nocents
26/9/2019 14:54 | I was a week out but I called it! Back to the 10s. | princebuster2
26/9/2019 14:52 | As I thought. Mm’s I know thy games well. Predictable or what? I rest my case. | nocents
26/9/2019 14:12 | Recent TRIN Tweet @Trinity_PLC #TRIN in today's Shares supplement: Trinity Exploration is reborn - highlighting significant upside and strong equity growth potential on increased production and drilling in addition to strong cash generation @SHARESmag hxxps://t.co/pnV54tR | mark10101
26/9/2019 13:58 | I believe we are about to see the mm’s dip sell to 10.75/10.8p If so if anyone has the dosh consider tucking in.May not last. All IMO..has to be. But based on how they operate on not accepting sells and post large sell. | nocents
26/9/2019 13:52 | Well said OT. The seller is still active ( few minutes ago even). But even mighty Mitie will run out of shares eventually...fund or not. Then value will return. Yes oil is out of favour. Like gold 9 yrs ago. Oil goes in boom and busts although the paper market distorts much like sub-prime bonds did 11 yrs ago. Trin are doing it well. Just look at the less honest and organized companies today who are paying the price for deception. | nocents
26/9/2019 13:42 | Hope nobody punted on Bloe after all that! | nocents
26/9/2019 13:32 | I am trying not to dwell on the price at the minute as it is clear there has been a large persistent seller for some time. This is the risk with small caps but over time prices normalise again and we must be closer to the end than the beginning of the selling as it has been happening for ages now. Am very positive about what the management team are now putting in place and am hopeful of some positive announcements soon, which assuming HAW success will detail how the business is going to grow (production and cash flow) going forward. Oil stocks are massively out of favour at the minute, reminds me of tobacco during the dot com boom, where people are not seeing the cash flow generation of these businesses. As long as the cash keeps coming in, the price will rise, but unfortunately it won't be me but the market that will decide when ;-) | otemple3
26/9/2019 13:16 | Trin often flies the most when unexpected. Big buyers perceive the value and leap in. We get to piggy back. Mitie have their own reasons for selling. Trin is a small cap. There have been all sorts of fund issues of late ( see Woodford). Selling of specific shares is often to do with benchmarks and macro decisions. We have to wait until their powder is finally dry however long it takes. They are probably the biggest brake on Trin atm. | nocents |
