27/5/2002 13:36 | taken from interims in feb 02 Financial performance The Company achieved strong growth in both revenue and profit. Revenue for the six months was up 46% to £6.3 million (2000: £4.3 million) with EBITDA up 111% to £1.3 million (2000: £0.6 million). Pre-tax profit rose by 37% to £0.62 million (2000: £0.45 million). Earnings per share after head office costs rose by 21% to 1.42p (2000: 1.17p with no head office costs). The Group's net assets at 31 December 2001 were £4.2 million (equivalent to 11.73p per share) and net cash resources amounted to £1.5 million (equivalent to 4.14p per share). During the period the Company raised some £0.63 million net of expenses by placing 1,473,000 ordinary shares with institutions at 44p per share. In line with the Company's policy of reinvestment for growth, the directors are not recommending payment of a dividend. interesting | jawbone
27/5/2002 13:33 | These figures are after EBITDA so are not really bad at all & they've already made £662k towards the £1.3m. I think the biggest worry is if a large client goes under & they are creditors or something similar, but as they stand they look good value. | isis
27/5/2002 13:26 | steady buying although nothing big atleast in right direction | jawbone
27/5/2002 13:25 | Fidelity own 5.18% most of which was bought in a placing last October @44p - none sold yet. Beeson's reiterates Buy on 29/04/02 with £1.3m profit & 2.7p eps for 02 £2.7m profit & eps 6.2p for 03 I would have said they should hit this years targets, but next years look quiet ambitious as the TMT sector is still poorly - but they don't have to warn about next years yet. | isis
27/5/2002 11:55 | Hope so! - Buys far exceed sales today, should tick more by all rights. This market is so weak though so would'nt hold your breath. My only concern is they keep up with targets, but with so many variables out there it's impossible to know with any company. | isis
27/5/2002 11:38 | turnaround has the bottom been reached | jawbone
26/5/2002 19:23 | hes got the wrong trw plonk any one able to as advfn to remove the american from the uk news thread | contract note
25/5/2002 17:58 | dmhzxwhen sir did trw recieve bids | contract note
25/5/2002 11:39 | dmhzx, do you know who the bidders were & how much? Also I think the fall this week may have been due to unnerved investors recieving the letter addressed to GLD shareholders regarding the option scheme at GLD. Raven & Cooke were verifying the tax position on options declared last year which GLD claim are owed PAYE on - this may have spooked some investors into selling, but really seems a technical point of order. | isis
25/5/2002 10:45 | Senitment and gamble. This is just like several other small comapnies at present. Announce turnover up 46%, gross profit up 111% and see the share price drop. SEN for example: Turnover up over 180%. Company is strongest position it's ever been, and trading at close to an all-time low. TRW are in profit, have turned down a bid twice. Don't panic | dmhzx
25/5/2002 10:08 | when are the next results due out is it the end of june cheers | contract note
24/5/2002 15:58 | The reply I got was a copy from last week because another shareholder had asked for a reassuring statement. So he said this when the the price was at least 25p. I think if they fall much further he will have to make some kind of statement, clarifying whether trading is in line or if there is a problem. | gzr
24/5/2002 15:44 | i am surprised that Oliver Cooke thinks a trading update could be negative. many companies give trading updates & all shareholders like news especially the good kind. I think the guys an idiot & not very market savvy - lets hope he's better at accountancy otherwise we are f@cked. | isis
24/5/2002 15:16 | I find the drop this week a bit bizarre - the other day there were more buys to sells & they got marked down. Again today there is very little between the buys & sells yet marked down 14%. I wonder if the mm's are just predicting bad sentiment in the sector. The directors have sold none nor the institutions, providing there's no bad news these should bounce very quickly. imo | isis
24/5/2002 15:06 | Just what is going on? is this mm shakin da tree again? | gain
24/5/2002 14:17 | Tired of the market taking the pi55 out of you? Email electrumcloud@hotmai | lewinsky
24/5/2002 13:46 | Barring a disaster, any bad news is surely discounted. It will be interesting to see if any news comes out in the short term, we've got a long wait to the results in September. | gzr
24/5/2002 13:43 | Many tech stocks have hit neew lows this week including this one. I would've expected a warning by now if there was going to be one as the year ends next month. They must know how much work they're doing, although I expect orders may have slowed the busines still looks fundamentally sound - we hope. | isis
24/5/2002 13:39 | I thought these looked cheap at about 30p. Considered buying then, but luckily held off. Look much too cheap now - but surely some bad news is out there ? Otherwise it'll soon be a case of fill yer boots ! | bernieboy |
